  1. we cant really say exactly what the chances are and i totally understand the feeling of anxiety you are going thru now. continue to pray for good results because thats all you can really do while waiting for 2 months. many here have had negative results so just keep the faith.

  2.

OHH!!! IS MANNY PACQUIAO - MIGUEL COTTO FIGHT STARTING?!!!!! I THOUGHT THAT'S ON NOVEMBER?

No, my dear. It's the smart girl and the dimwit exchanging profanities. I am rooting for the smart girl. :star:

Ate marie....smart girl and the dimwit?????!!! WHO'S WHO then?!

    smart girl = Tngirl

dimwit = (puro unintelligible ang posts) = Lotus

    gets mo na?

Careful, beybi ko! That is pretty close to a TOS violation. Personal attacks are not allowed!

does this mean you'll get fish for dinner tonight? :P

Probably! She's cooking something now I don't recognize.

Perhaps she's frying some kind of Smoked boneless milkfish, Sarangani brand from Mindanao, close to my wife's hometown of Davao.

My wife does not like to eat this #######; she eats the Crappies that I have caught myself and filleted.

She does not care for Filipino junk foods, she is a RN, you know, and she knows about Healthy things to put in her mouth.

I catch a lot of Bass but these are in tournaments and everything is released after they were weighed.

You know, we Texans are good in working our Worms to get the bites.

Manny Pacquiao v Miguel Cotto? I'll take Cotto anytime. If Pacquiao wins I owe you a dinner at the Pekpek Carenderia.

The 2 girls that are engaged in a heated Tussle here are both nuts.

Why do I think that I sound like my good old friend from North Texas?

:rofl::rofl: and you could add : only poor lonely people eat filipino junk foods or according to your good old friend from north texas "

Only the Poor and Lonely tend to use coupons in USA from my observations

What you usually see is a woman in line with 100 cans of cat food trying to use coupons.............. "

  3. congrats to all those who passed the medicals already...

good luck to wife of Dean_cain on her medical on Monday.

I'm going in on Thursday or Friday...

Is the clinic open on Saturdays??? Damn! Forgot to ask when I called.

nope slec is closed saturdays and sundays.

good luck everyone. i might be having my interview at the end of august, dont have exact day yet though .

Good luck and safe journey all the way...

Thank you... hummm.. I'm trying to beat the 'monthly' cycle.... i got a tight schedule.

speaking of "beating the monthly cycle", mine has beaten me to my medical which i was planning to do this monday (july 20) darn......how many days do you girls think i should wait til it's ok to take it? (period usually lasts for 3 days), im just asking the girls here.....

the only reason they wont allow you to do the medical when you have your period is because you might mess up the clean sheets during the physical examination . so as soon as your period stops, you should be able to do the medical.

  5. you have been given good advice here and i hope things work out well for you. you can discuss the issue again with your fiance and if he says no, then i guess in the end it will have to be you who needs to decide whether to choose your son or your fiance. and whatever your decision is, i hope it will be for the good of everyone involved. i also have kids and i made sure we discussed important matters even before my petition was filed.

  6. Just a thought. No bashing! It is normal to feel homesick. I have felt it too since I have spent the last 1 year alone here, but only 21 days and she wants to go home? Isn't that a bit of an over-reaction or is she really ready for a life time commitment like marriage and spend her life here instead of back home? You both must have invested a lot of time, effort and money into this and she wants to give it all up so easily? You both still have 2 months and hopefully she will get over it and realise that everytime she feels homesick she can't just go back home. Wish you both all the best!

HI i agree with you, but seriously why go through of the trouble not to mention money in this process if she doesnt want to get married, maybe she should have visited you here more than once (im not sure if you guys did that) i took my time making sure i really wanted to move to the USA from the first time we decided to go through with all this til our wedding was just short of 3 years!!!. i dont know how someone can do it without being 100% sure this is what really want!! actually it kinda frustrates me that some cultures use this process for a way of maybe escapin their normal live i hope im wrong, but if you have doubts before you start the whole visa process or not 100% sure you really want to get married why go to all the effort seriously!!!!

As for being homeseick! everyone feels that way even me! my country isnt much different to the USA but it is still hard being away from your family but wouldnt you rather miss your family than the man/woman you love!! i dont know about everyone else but i know no matter how homesick i get my husband makes up for it!!! and i can always go home for a holiday!! hope it all works out for you both!!

    tommys girl -

While your advice has a ring of wisdom to it, please remember that not everyone on these forums has the freedom of VWP travel to assist with visits and 'making sure'.

rebeccajo is right. it is next to impossible for filipinos to get a tourist visa for the usa.

  7. i met a filipina who just arrived in the philippines few days ago. she entered america last april on a k1 visa and after a few weeks, she and her usc fiance got into a big fight. she told her fiance she might as well return to the philippines and immediately her fiance bought her plane tickets , he actually called her bluff. after that, she changed her mind and told her fiance that she decided to just stay in america. unfortunately, her fiance told her that he didnt want her ticket to go to waste and she might as well use it to return to the phils. so thats how it ended, her fiance sent her back to the phils before 90 days without getting married, her fiance got tired of the whining.

to the OP, you both need to meet halfway. if she loves you, then she should at least try to make things work . she needs to give it a few months and do her best to get adjusted to her new life with you. and you also need to try and make things comfortable for her. if she really decides on coming back to the phils, theres nothing more you can do.

  8. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever tried it :D but the thought doesn't sound that appetizing to me. I do love cheese on my oatmeal, though - and on my eggs. yum!

i tried that before, oatmeal topped with scrambled eggs and i kinda liked it

comfort food for me is fried chicken and spaghetti.

  9. What kind of a kiss are we talking about? I can see many situations where a kiss could occur and it could simply be a greeting. Was it a greeting or display of affection that is a custom, or was it an exploratory precursor to something more intimate? There's too little information offered to be able to judge.

i was thinking the same thing too, was it a peck on the cheek kiss or a torrid french kiss thingy?
