I was thinking if I'll have my medical Fri and Sat. (Oct 2-3) or its quite tight to give St Lukes time to forward my medical results to the USEM until my interview on (Tuesday) Oct 6?

there should be no problem rescheduling your interview, ive heard of some who did it too. st lukes is closed saturdays , sundays and holidays.

you definitely need to be concerned about the whole situation. it sounds like she is spending money left and right without even thinking of how hard the economy is. you really need to resolve this issue before you bring her to america, if you dont , this will cause future problems and might even get worse. good luck

The Medical Interview is one of the biggest joke that USCIS requires.

Once you get to the USA, you will see millions, Maybe over 25 million Illegal Aliens that crossed the southern border and have came to USA Illegaly, and have set up house in the USA.

They cross with numerous disease, and it's OK.

But if decide to try to come to the USA the legal way, then they want you to jump thru hoops to get here.

actually i brought this up at st lukes. i told them that if they are so strict with immigrants entering the USA , then they should also require an xray for those applying for a tourist visa.

If she has kids, then don't mess with her anymore, too many girls out there without kids.

If she claims she is innocent (virgin), then take her to a doctor to make sure she is telling the truth

Why if your going to PI to wife shop, Would a person look or court a girl with a kid. There are many girls to choose from and many without kids. If someone wants to date/marry a girl with kids then More Power To Them.

For me I think they will and could cause problems in the relationship, and it could cuz issues when trying to get a Visa to USA cuz the girl could be legally married, or the BC for the kid could be all screwed up.

Also it shows that the girl in the past had made some poor life decisions, and now is sitting there with a kid or two born out of wedlock. And as you know life and your lifestyle is all about choice people make in life, it could be indicator that the girl has a habit of making poor life decision.

Just better to avoid issues like that if he is starting out new looking for a good wife to bring to USA.

i think this is generalizing too much. not all women who have kids cause problems . she might have made some bad decisions in the past but it can actually help her become a better wife.

I've read your post about sputum test, i under go sputum test last august. Next month is my schedule to call St.Lukes for the medical result.

Base on your experience, it's already 1 month since i had my sputum test. Is it mean that i get negative for the sputum?

some have been called as early as the 3rd week, some even on the 7th week so theres really no way of telling. just dont stress too much on it. keep the faith.

i totally understand how you feel, been there, done that. all you can really do now is wait and pray that everything turns out ok. dont stress too much about it, live one day at a time. 2 months will go by fast.

yes thats normal. i slit open the plastic a bit to take out my passport and then taped it back. just have the immigrant data summary photocopied so you can bring it to cfo.

Sometime I wished I Learned TAGALOG because sometime our words get lost in translation......sometime.

What is confusing to me is that she has to return at SLEC on SEPT 14, to me that means it should be the results of SPUTUM culture...right?

From what I researched, SPUTUM culture results are given after 2 weeks, and Sept 14 is 12 days away from her second day at SLEC.

I really did not want to press her with additional questions since she was so sad and depressed...so maybe I be able to get additional information as she returns home.

She is a wonderful person and I really don't like to see her so sad....it break my heart...

i assume she was asked to return sept 14 for a 3 day sputum test. then there will be a doctors evaluation, if her sputum smear is negative, she will have to wait 2 months for the culture result. if after 2 months, her culture results come out negative, then she can proceed with the immunizations and then the interview. just hang in there, the waiting is not easy. been there, done that. all i can say is, whatever happens, there will always be light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks Sasha!!! So what do you mean by "have my medical" early? I think I can't go there without my interview appoitnment letter fro the US Embassy. My fiance has the NOA2 letter already.I was just wondering why didn't he get an e-mail and the case status online says case is still pending. He even got the Manila case number. However, there was no letter asking for the affidavit of support documents. Please advise. Thanks!

you can do the medical exam if you have your case number already. just show it to the slec guard.

if only life was that simple st lukes will not honor nor accept results from other hospitals, not even their own st lukes main . only results from st lukes extension clinic will be honored by the us embassy. if the immigrant has an abnormality in the xray, she will be required to do the 3 day sputum tests, no matter what. i suggest she does the medical exam as early as she can.

I understand your response. However this is not what I was suggesting.

What I am saying is to get a sputum test 3 months or so ahead of the SLEC medical just to see if there is a problem in the lungs, and if so, Pinay can take meds and get cleared up prior to her SLEC medical.

Like taking a practice test, before the real test. Are sputum tests expensive at a private clinic in Phils?

It is my understanding that if a two-month sputum culture turned up positive for TB, she then would be required to take TB medication for six months or more. Therefore, she would have to start the process at least eight months in advance of her Saint Luke's Extension Center (SLEC) medical. After that, the question becomes: would SLEC accept her completed treatment regimen?

I imagine they would accept it, but I will double check that with my wife when she wakes up from her nap.

No matter what, SLEC always will require x-rays. If SLEC sees any abnormalities on the x-ray, they will require a two-month sputum culture. However, my wife and I don't know whether or not SLEC would accept a previously-completed treatment regimen for TB. The treatment regimen for TB can require taking medication for six months or more.

even if she has had previous treatment from another hospital, they will still require her to undergo sputum culture test. most likely though, she will have negative results since she underwent treatment already.
