I understand the religious aspect of this, but because of the "legal" aspect of it, can they get married in the courthouse NOW and have a religious ceremony later? I know some religions won't even look at the "legal" marriage until the religious ceremony is completed. Its a possibility. And the fact of the matter is, unfortunately 9 times out of 10 they don't care about your religious views and traditions when filing for the AOS. I personally would do the courthouse marriage (even if its not recognized in my religion as being official) and then have a religious ceremony later on with all the traditions and customs that pertain to your religion.
Just my two sense. Unfortunately there is a thing called separation of church and state in the USA and the state normally doesn't care about the religious part.
    Good luck!

No, they will not accept the petition. It will be returned, with the check, for the overpayment. You will have to refile with the appropriate payment at that time.
PS: Since you are just beginning your journey, a word of caution. Always, always, I say again ALWAYS, go to the applicable US GOV website to verify everything you do. The best way to lose a friend, is to believe what they say, without verifying it, during your VISA journey

I don't think anywhere did the OP say "Nanny"... he was just asking about bringing 'Nanay'.. which is different, google it if you don't know Tagalog...
You're reading too much into what the OP is asking, unless he specifically stated he was bringing "Nanay' to provide some kind of care, then I would think they are wanting her to be there for the childs birth and time to spend with the baby and daughter for the first couple months...
But, from the counselor's view, that's probably what they are thinking the situation will be, that the "Nanay" will end up being a "Nanny".. unless, like other's have posted, she can prove she has ties back home that will make her come back...

American idiot marries German idiot. Entering the U.S. without a visa and the intent to adjust status: fraud! Trying to reenter despite having triggered the 3-year bar. Caught! Only paroled but not admitted, but then worked without authorization. Caught again.
Being smart includes realizing when the God-given capacity isn't going to cut it. They didn't. At some point they will have to live with the consequences of their actions. I call that natural selection, and it has worked for thousands of years.

You have been detained for shoplifting, charged with petty theft and paid the fine. You did not do that because you were accused mistakenly, but because you were guilty as charged. You are a thief.
Yet you did not disclose this, wrongfully assuming the Feds are too stupid to find out within a comprehensive FBI background test.
Tell you what: if I had been the I.O. I would have seen this as a deliberate misrepresentation and declared you a persona non grata for the rest of your natural life. If I were you, I would thank my god for sparing me deportation and keep my mouth shut for another 3 years. If I was the judge getting your complaint on my table, I would order you deported before going to the bathroom.
You apparently have no idea how lucky you got.

it's not the norm anywhere to be a paid gf...especially in vietnam (and i know we all "pay" in some way).
second i would not proceed further until she can be 100% honest. if she's being deceptive and secretive now that would only lead to more problems and mistrust in the future.

The number is PRINTED on the I-94 card.
And why waiver of fee? If you cannot afford the fee, then how will you afford all the other fees including the adjustment of status fee?
