    First of all, hillbillies are fictitious people not real. Don't let that get to you. LOL. Talking about respect, when you cannot differentiate whether they're real or not.

    However, some places will think hillbillies are derogatory and some places don't. If a fictitious object is causing you to feel offended, then, I'm sorry.

    If you believe there's hillbillies around then you should be feeling sorry because you think hillbillies are real. Therefore, in your mind you will have an image of them in your head of what they look like. I don't know hillbillies even existed other than fiction. Have you noticed?

    On the other hand, if you associate hillbillies to a group of people that is considered offensive. You need to know your place woman.

    first off , I'm a man. and this is way off topic !! but go tell a hillbillies, redneck, valley girl, georgia peach that they're not real. and someone will tell you your wrong. so now you know... they do exist !!

    and its about the lack of respect you have for people in general, so grow up..

    I woke up my husband at 2:30am today, and the first thing he said ...it must be a good news...and i said to him that were approved....he can't believed the first time i said it...lol! but anyway just want to update you guyz with our timelime...good luck to everyone here whose also waiting for their approvals...

    Vasani - Thanks for the update. It feels good to hear this from the congressman. I truly believe that this is it. The time has come before we start seeing approvals left and right.

    Whoever read this thread - I request you to be optimistic as your positive thoughts will create positive energy which will only help. I read somewhere that positive thinking gives rise to positive energy and vibration. More the better :)

    I am positive too !! I'm positive the squeeky wheel gets the grease. and I'm very sure the approvals are soooo close. but if you want your petitions on top of the heap, you better make a little noise for yourself. you are your best advocate. don't go overboard with the calls and letters to your senators and congressmen. but make sure they know who you are and the pain you feel. our congressional inqueiry has already been made. we'll let you know how it turns out.

    Some interviewer maybe hostile towards any signs of tattoos. Their ethics are skewed because they don't get paid that much

    ethics/morals come from how you are raised !!! rich or poor, it doesn't matter. I grew up poor, but do very well now and never forgot where I came from and how many good for nothing snobs I had to push out of my way to get what I wanted and deserved.

    Do you have substantial money and does that make you feel like your ethics are on a higher level than most? if so, you just keep telling yourself that !!!

    Well, for many people. You are yourself. I've seen a number of Americans here working abroad at the US Embassy worldwide that carry over their American characteristics.

    ####### are you talking about. do you even know? not real sure what characteristics you are reffering to.

    If you worked in a job that gives you a salary of less than 20k or 30k, you see that they don't tend to do their jobs at the most efficient levels. Hmmm....If you worked in HR for a few years, probably you would understand how the people tend to be less motivated to a job the more they work, and the less they get complimented.

    Working in a US Embassy as a VISA attendant, one needs a high school diploma, and fluent in both English and the local language. Not only that, they must understand the culture around. Traveling to several countries, I visited a number of hospitals (American sponsored hospitals) that carry ads for positions in the embassy. They list their requirements. That is how I learned their qualifications.

    lets see here...you think your god, as ur profile claims ! people that are underpaid and don't get complimented but nonetheless work their azz off every day. is not just unfortunate for being underpaid, but also lazy and lack motivation and efficiency. you should realize that a job that pays your bills and supports your family with food and a roof over their heads is satisfaction enough for many in this world. what gives them the lack of motivation is the inconsiderate, unapreciative clowns like you they have to deal with on a day to day basis. thinking your better than someone coz your more fortunate then them is just ignorant thinking. as far as I'm concerned, if you work hard everyday. you have my respect in that department. just remember, one day you may be applying for that job !!

    Because they work hard everyday, doesn't translate into being kind and sincere. I hope you see this?

    hey guys, print the page with the processing times before they change it on us !!! then get all your paperwork in order and contact your congressman and senator.. this is what we have been waiting for. they can no longer say we are inside the processing times and we have to wait. I do think they realize this and they have a lot of petitions ready to approve. there is a chance they were giving the embassey's a chance to catch up. they are trimming time off in different areas like the doc verification in manilla. lets hope they are done regrouping and are ready to work now. I have contacted a congressmans office last week and I'm waiting for a reply. but now I will contact another and a senators office. remember to print the processing times before they change it. and good luck to all !!!

    reversed my spousal tution discount (she works at a university) and overnight i got a bill for $10,000.00 :help:

    all said and done i had to drop out of school as i was in badstanding

    Does she realize that any debts that have been made while you 2 are married belong to both of you's. she's not only making problems for you. she's making them for herself too. also how strict is the affidavit of support ? can she actually kick you out and not have to worry about how you survive and where you stay ? doesn't sound like much support there !!
