DS-230 and packet intructions were generated on June 7th, I pointed my husband as agent, and he hasn't received yet until today June 15th.

1. Can you help to find a way how to know what NVC request exactly in packet instructions, before receive it from NVC? so then I can prepare it .

2. Can I just download DS-230 form?

after fill it out the form and send all docs direct to NVC or wait until my husband receive mail from NVC?

This is the cover letter that I sent essentially - with all personal info removed.

The way I wrote it, the letter is from the petitioner, who was also the agent in the case ... So if that doesn't apply to you, you'll have to edit it a bit more

Feel free to change things up - anything that you see italicized on the document should be edited and, if not applicable to you, removed.

I have a similar question.. my wife wants to go ahead and change her name, adding my Surname.

We didn't do it right away thinking it would f up paperwork, but since it may take 2048204 years before they process our year old application, maybe she can go ahead and do it.

She'll basicall have her same name (she doesn't have a "surname" technically anyway) with my surname jammed on the end.

Will this create and extra 2243 year delay?

I am from indonesia also, mostly we dont use family name , as my husband's info, we can change before we get Green card , mean when the benefficiary is in USA, we can request them to put husband's surname.

I am willing to try this. but so far I dont want to change all my paper work . I will stay in my original name.

Our AOS PACKAGE was sent and INV BILL was paid in the same time.

As I checked online and NVC automatic system said that Package Instructions was generated on June 2nd, I believe that they received the payment .

But I still have a question about AOS Package which sent to them , Does it mean that NVC already received the Affidavit support package and it completed and accepted ?

Pls help if you have similar experiences.

REALLY I PRAY TO GOD TO HELP US. CAUSE NOBODY KNOWS HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE RIGHT?!!!

Go or send mail to senator or congressman to help . write down your case and your reason .

We have waited for approval from USCIC quite long . and nobody knew what was going on with our petition I-I30. and my Husband went to Senator Mc cain but it didnt work and he wrote to congressman , it worked 1 week after he wrote to them, USCIS sent him the status that there were trastranlation missing . Unfortunately everything was going to slow and stressfull .

But you can still try better than waiting .

so sad really...we write the senator we are waiting for some replys... now... but really this long wait is so frustrating, stressfull not to mention so painful to be so far apart from your husband...

pardon me but i just want to know if your case ever been touched or updated during your wait or none at all...

Well here are our story :

When we filled I-I30 was in April 2006 status of my husband was LPR , he checked to USCIC even came there personally the answered was please wait and it was in process, and nobody couldn’t give straight answer. We followed up periodically .He wrote to senator Mc Cain but same answer and only give visa bulletin as because he was LPR only that we thought, and his staff answered that we had to wait 7 years to get approval , it was really stressed for us, he came there personally but they almost kicked him out when he started to explain and complained that he was an US ARMY and it doesn’t mean anything for them ? the anwer was same wait 7 years that’s the time for Asia , meanwhile he started to apply his citizenship, and because he had to be every 6 month in Hungary and every 6 months in USA , so it took almost 1 year , it was pending in Finger print , he took Finger print in US Embassy in Hungary and sent it but when he came back to USA 2 months later they said they didn’t received it , even He showed them prove of delivery that somebody received it  . Finally end of November 2007 he got his citizenship and we waited for 3 months since he adjusted his status from LPR to citizen and it was nothing , no updated , he started to wrote to Congressman .and it worked, finally USCIS wrote mail to him based on your mail to congressman here is your current status. We didn’t take K visa because I have to back to my original country for interview and ETC so we decided to go for CR/IR Visa.

Trying everything possible, follow up every 2 weeks, or come in person with appointment to USCIS. If the petitioner is American , I think they have full right to bring family to USA.

ok cool so i got the list and basic from what i understand is i would need, her org. copy of the birth cert, marriage cert and passport copies and pcc right? now does she get te birth cert and marriage cert back at the time of interview as they are the original we will be sending in.? also someone has told me i would need her parents birth certs as well, is that true? do i need anything from her family side?

I am wondering about this too. So,I am going to send the certified copies of original documents instead.

My original country is Indonesia, I am living in Hungary , it is difficult for me to get certified copy from the office which issued the papers.

Hello. I have applied for I-130 for my wife who is in India. Can she apply for tourist or visitor visa while I-130 is pending? What proof does she need to let the embassy know she will go back to India. What are the chances of the visa getting denied or approved? Thanks

I applied for a tourist visa when my I-130 was pending. I got approved right away. As long as you can convince them that you're not gonna overstay your visit. I had an employment letter with me, saying that I was going to be on leave for a specific date to visit the US. I showed my pay slip and then I was done.

As long as she can prove her ties back to her home country then she should have no problem.

I did when my I-130petition was pending, Consular in Hungary rejected it ,eventhogh I already submited my pay slip, Guarantee from my boss the I will be back and employment leter, bank account etc to prove that I will be back .

But you can try , may be you have luck .

I have Hungarian marriage certificate , will they ask Indonesian marriage certificate also? since we got married in Indonesia.That's a good question - I would assume they may ask for it and since you're asking I would assume you don't have a copy of it. Perhaps your Hungarian one will do...

Police certificate.

Should I get police certificate from Indonesia or enough from Hungary . as I read at NVC website , if I lived in other than my country for more than 12 months , was 16 months . I should get to local office at that locality . According to this statement I don’t need to go to Indonesia to get my police certificate record. Is it true ? .To get police certificate in Indonesia , we need to come in person . As it says, you will need a police certificate from any country you lived (for at least 12 months) since the age of 16 - if this applies to you, you will need to do so.

We married in Indonesia Dec 2001, my country of origin is Indonesia , we have 1 daughter, she is Hungarian , Original Country of My husband is Hungary , he was American LPR , but since December 2007 ,he got his American citizenship.
