  1. thank you, everyone! CSC is just rolling them out.. i love california!

i feel bad for the VSC filers but just hang in there, you guys! this is kinda bittersweet..

just called NVC, just in case they got my stuff already.. but of course they didnt.. hopefully next week so i can pay, etc.. #######, i'm going back to the philippines this august and will be there for 2 1/2 weeks.. this is both good and bad..

Actually, you have a week that you will be able to hopefully take care of AOS payment and Choice of agent e-mail. Then you can watch online for the IV payment. If needed, you can take with you all documents that you need for the rest, and if needed mail everything fed ex from over there. If you prepare and do things right, your vacation should not slow anything down.

thanks, Steve! i'm kinda hoping i will be able to get the AOS payment done before i leave. I still have next week then i leave monday, aug 4. my thoughts exactly about preparing everything here then as soon as i have all the necessary docs there, just fedex here and then have somebody mail it to NVC..

but i bet i would be having too much fun to think about anything! haha! hope not.. just want to get this over with.. boy, am i going to have a lot of questions once i start with NVC!

i just called NVC again, my case still hasn't gotten there. will try in the afternoon..

  2. oh God, I am so so so very happy for you!! so i guess i was wrong and that touch was the touch of all touches :) within a week you should be on your way to NVC and if u do everything right, you will be able to get out of there in 4-6 weeks. NVC is much easier to deal with...Good Luck :dance::dance::dance::dance:

hi cmnb!! i'm soooo glad you were wrong! hahaha!!

like i was telling Kelvin, my NVC days might be a little delayed 'cuz i am going to be back in the Philippines for 2 1/2 weeks.. it's sorta bad timing.. i want to see him but i want to get this done so that i can PERMANENTLY see him!

  3. thank you!!!!, kelvin_omar! i'm still trying to process it in my head.. it's like all of a sudden i don't know what to do next even though i have prepared everything ahead of time.. haha!

i wish VSC will move just as fast as CSC...

I really hope VSC starts to move on... I was surprised when I saw your post that you had a touch... I sent my I-130 the same day you did... 04-30-08... If my application was at CSC maybe my approval would be very soon as well...

Sometimes it is SO hard all this wait... It is frustrating to know that VSC is so backed up... I pray to God that VSC starts approving soon... and catch up with CSC...

You should look at LOTOS NVC Guide... This has step by step of what you should do after approval...

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=136822

I wish you the very best... Within aprox 3 or 4 months time you will be with your hubby. I imagine you are SO HAPPY....

    Kelvin

i know.. maybe if you were in CSC... don't lose hope, Kelvin.. CSC is just slightly abnormal with approvals.. don't base that on anything. i am really soo happy. i was so tired from work when i got home and i thought i had to drink coffee or something to stay awake today but then this approval was just the adreneline that i needed!

i have LOTO's NVC guide printed out already.. a long time ago, in fact! haha! just a little too excited back then, i suppose.. everything is prepared, except that he needs to sign.. AND the clearances. he didn't listen to me when i told him to get it a month ago.. so now we have to wait on that..

then i'm going back to the philippines for my cousin's wedding and to see him, of course, so that is going to delay my time in NVC for a bit.. oh well.. only for a couple weeks maybe..

  4. thank you, everyone! CSC is just rolling them out.. i love california!

  5. WE GOT APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :crying: :crying: :crying:

that's tears of joy!!! oh my gosh!!! i don't even know what the USCIS website says but last i checked yesterday afternoon, it said PENDING!!! they were just playing with me! then this morning, when i got home, there was the letter from USCIS.. and i knew it had to be my NOA2!!!!

    you guys!!!!! i'm soo happy!!!!!!!!!

that touch was THE TOUCH OF ALL TOUCHES!!!!!!!!! and it was on our 7 month wedding anniversary too!!!!!

    Thank you, Lord!!!!

  6. APPROOOVVVEEEEDDD!!!!!!

i got a touch 7/21 but it just kept saying pending.. no email or anything.. then today when i got home from work, there was the letter from USCIS with my NOA2!!! i was like.. what the heck then i jumped up and down.. then started crying.. then ran to the computer and updated my timeline! hahahaha!

yesterday before i left for work, it still said pending and no email from CRIS.. i haven't even checked the uscis website cuz WHO CARES??? I GOT THE NOA2 HARDCOPY ALREADY!! yahooo!!!!

  7. Everyone,

That touch on 21st did mean something. The expedite request was sent on th 9th of July on humanitarian grounds after bombing near my area on July 7th. And we heard nothing from USCIS. Then on 21st there was a touch on both our old and new petition and we had received an email stating that our older petition has been sent from the State Department to USCIS for the request to review it. USCIS also sent a letter to my husband stating that they have received the expedite request...but did not say whether it was approved or not. Also note that they did not show any more touches after that nor we received any e-mail from USCIS. Then today on the 24th my husband received the NOA2 letter in mail (the case was expedited). The online system still hasn't been updated and how shown 21st July as the latest date.

I feel bad about all my other fellows here but I am very hopeful that USCIS will approve May filers soon inshaAllaah.

    You are in my prayers,

    Sara.

Sara!!! you guys got approved too!! i'm soo happy for you!!!

see, sometimes the negatives can turn into positives.. YAY!!!

I will join this thread because I filed the petition April 25th, kind of close to May.

Received both petition approval letter and package 3 on July 11. I am doing

the DCF method in Guangzhou, China and I also work in China but hope to be

    headed home next year.

hi valenbb! welcome! let me gather my wits then i can put you in our little tracker.. just a little too giddy right now.. hehehe

  8. WE GOT APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :crying: :crying: :crying:

    NO TOUCHES (is that weird?)

    Approved June 22th

Hope this means good things for all other May Filers still waiting

congrats, snorkies! that is awesome! another one from MAY!

no touches for you, so maybe my touch was not a good one at all! maybe we shouldn't be touched at all to be approved! :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: as you can see, we are still not approved.. :crying: :crying: :crying:

  10. are you guys K3 or CR1? if you haven't filed the I-129F, then you are still CR1..

Guys, thank you for all the help!!

Shenxu, good luck to your wife...she will make it!

Jen, thank you very much. I'll update/edit my immigration timeline in a sec. I don't know if we are a K3 or a CR1. My husband filed for I130. Does it mean we're a CR1? Do we have to file a I129F? Richard said he called the service center and they said we only have to file I130, not I129F. We are getting confused now.

don't be confused.. you guys are CR1. filing the I-129F means you want the non-immigrant K3 visa, which is faster but not that much faster really. up to you guys. so you might want to update everything here in VJ that you are CR1.

  11. Sorry Jen... Iam bummed out for you.

Sarah that's not good.... insha'allah the expedite will work and we can get you out of harms way!!!

    no touches on mine still.

Also, do I have to have a birh certificate?? They took my only copy in Morocco to marry my husband :dead:

and yes Rajaa does mean hope, my husbad never wanted me to lose it so we decided that was a good name for me during my conversion before we married.

hello HOPE! i'm bummed but not really. life goes on..

i don't think you have to have YOUR birth certificate, but HE does.. better have that one ready when you prepare the affidavit of support. they are going to want that, i think

  12. jen, if u sent in the original to USCIS, they r goin to keep it in their file and will not return it. your best bet is to ask your husband to get another copy from the birth certificate issuing authority in phillipines and send that to the NVC. this copy will be returned to him during the time of his interview...hope i am making sense now :)

i only sent the certified copy. we can still get a billion more of that. but then i thought once the petition is approved they will send the whole file to NVC? you are making sense, cmnb!

  13. wow.. all i did was email my HR and stated the reason why i needed an employer letter and i got it the next day.. she even told me that if the letter wasn't good enough to just let her know and she will make another one.. i work at a hospital. i basically emailed them a template on what the employment letter should look like and presto.. got it the next day.

that's a ridiculous policy! it's your husbands personal information. he should be able to get that in writing if he wants to! it's not like it's medical records..

  14. Hello all,

Add me to May 2008 filers.

Service Center : California Service Center

    Consulate : Chennai, India

    Marriage : 2008-04-28

    I-130 Sent : 2007-05-20

    I-130 NOA1 : 2008-05-24

I actually did not receive the hardcopy of NOA1. I had to call 3 times to have them resend it (as of last week). But I can check my case status online!

ok falcon, you are in!

  15. ok, i have a question. might have been answered somewhere else but i'm just too lazy to research..

you have to send in the beneficiary's original/certified copy of the birth certificate with the AOS (affidavit of support), correct? but i already sent that in with my I-130 petition.. that doesn't count, does it? so, get another certified copy?

better ask now and get an answer, that way when i get to the philippines we can get another copy and take it back with me

jen, i dont think your spouse's birth certificate was needed with your I-130 application. even if u did, u shud just have sent a copy....well if u can get a certified copy to NVC, u shud b fine...i think...

yeah, i know it wasn't needed but i think i "overthought," if there's such a word, on that too much and sent in unnecessary things. darn me!

so even if i had sent that certified copy to USCIS, the required certified copy for NVC still needs to be sent even though it is already with my file?

    am i making sense?

  17. Guys, can you add us (Richard & Sassy) in your May I-130 tracking spreadsheet??? We filed our I-130 May 2 and got our NOA1 May 6, California Service Center. We still haven't received NOA2. Status is still CASE RECEIVED AND PENDING. :crying:

    Thanks.

are you guys K3 or CR1? if you haven't filed the I-129F, then you are still CR1..

  18. Jen, what did uscis say on your 7/21: Touched? Been checking the website 3-4x a day & still no changes. M going ga-ga alrdy. :help:

Hope to see you in Makati next month!

hello sassy_girl! no, it doesn't say "touched." that's just our little name for "updated" here. if your case has been looked at, or "touched," for whatever reason, the date under the updated column will show the date. well, the updated date changed after months of inactivity on my case. so that indicated that i was "touched" and somebody looked at my case..

BUT, it nothing happened. it wasn't "touched" again today. i just woke up and hurried to the computer right away to see if there was something different. OH WELL... life goes on..

do you know how to fill in your timeline? go under "IMMIGRATION TIMELINES," that is located on top of this site, on the blue bar, then on the left upper corner of the IMMIGRATION TIMELINE page, under "TIMELINE FUNCTIONS," click on "EDIT/ADD MY ENTRY." input all your information there and that would really help everybody alot with estimates.

i'll put you in our spreadsheet, don't worry..

EVERYONE, thanks for all your well-wishes.. here's to another day of waiting!
