  1. Hello, I had to bring this topic up again after a long time. First, I would like to share the latest developments. Unfortunately, after USCIS denied our request, things did not get better and actually got worse. My wife was diagnosed with pancreatitis and gallbladder sludge. At my wife's request, we came to Mexico to see some family members, and while we were here, the situation got even worse. My wife's pancre infection is still ongoing, and now she has gallstones. When we consulted our doctor, the initial date was January 2026, and our doctor stated that my wife could not make a long flight. Therefore, my wife cannot return to Turkey with me. I contacted the airline and got a refund for the ticket and explained the situation to them. I still have the approval letter they sent me as proof. During our second doctor's visit in February, unfortunately, the doctor said my wife needed gallbladder removal surgery and that her pancreatitis needed to be monitored. At this point, my wife has to undergo a second surgery, and the doctor said she won't be able to work for a while. I'm returning to Turkey on May 15, and she'll be returning to America. She can't come with me because she can't make a long flight, and that's the only reason I got a refund for the plane ticket. At this point, we obtained the initial report from our doctor, a letter stating that the airline accepted the refund, and another doctor's report detailing the current situation. My husband also wrote a letter of intent regarding this matter. We will resubmit our Expedite request because, at this point, this is now an urgent situation for us and will create difficulties not only health-wise but also financially, as my husband will need financial support in the US and I need to join him as soon as possible. What are your thoughts on this? I will revise the necessary documents and send another Expedite request to USCIS explaining the situation, but I am worried. Do you think it will be accepted because this time the situation is much more critical and serious than the first time? Please excuse my English writing mistakes. It was a very long text, and I didn't want to go through it line by line, so I used a translation tool.
  2. After a long time I just came back for updating this post with results We sent this Expedite Request from 3 Channels 1 ) Directly To USCIS - They even not processed it because it is not enough evidence. 2 ) Embassy (DCF) - We just ask permission to embassy for Filling Petition from Embassy Local filling. They not accepted that. 3 ) Congressman Office - We just contacted Senator office they contacted USCIS after like a 20 days USCIS rejected because they do not think it is Eligible for Expedite they directly sent Main link. However in the end Sleeve Gastroectamy Or Other kind of bariatric surgeries are not reason for expedite as we can see if someone ever see this topic yep it is my results. However we are still on normal waiting line and in the end we got approved so I'll wait I Already got hope and it is enough Thanks Y"all
  3. Thanks Even it is rejected i will update this topic on here at least if i do that in future if someone have same situtation with me or thinking same with me they can see the result and get this as a example i guess so yep
  4. First of all, thank you very much for your comment. Yes, after all my research and what I've seen, I realized that the possibility of expediting my I-130 is very low. Still, I've already submitted my application and can't withdraw it. Even if it's not approved, I don't regret trying my luck. At least I can say I tried. As for the financial aspect, as I mentioned, I have family members who can provide financial support, and most importantly, we have a joint sponsor. So, we understand that this issue has been mentioned repeatedly, but this is already the most critical point of the immigration process, and we are aware of that. Despite all this, thank you for your comment. I hope everything goes well for us, but even if Expedite isn't approved, at least we can be happy that we tried. Haha, there's nothing we can do about it. So yeah hahahah
  5. The Roux-Y procedure is a bit more challenging than our surgery. I hope your recovery is going well. I wish you the best. As the user in the first comment said, if we hadn't filed the I-130, we might have had a chance for DCF. But it's not the end of the world. If USCIS denies our request, at least we can say we tried. In the worst-case scenario, I'll need to consider a Plan B. I'll update this topic once I receive a clear outcome regarding my request. I hope it can serve as a reference for anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation in the future.
  6. I have no idea about this. I know about healthcare costs in America, but I have no idea how to solve this because I've never lived in America before. If you have any suggestions, I'm open to hearing them, but I think the most logical option would be to discuss this detail with my spouse and see if she have a plan.
  7. The reason we are expediting is not that we will go to America immediately upon receiving the expedited approval. If our expedited request is approved, we plan to go within 3-4 months after approval. What we are trying to do here is to ensure that my spouse does not suffer from a lack of necessary care and family support for about 1.5 years due to health reasons, which is why her mental state is not good. The reason for this expedited request is not a life-threatening situation. If it were that serious, I probably wouldn't be bringing it up here because it would likely be approved. My spouse's health condition only requires monitoring; she needs regular care and family support. I work here and cannot look after her; she is in pain and still needs supplements. We will see what the process brings. Also, since my spouse has been living in Turkey, she does not have health insurance valid in the US, and it is impossible for me to have it because I have never even been to the US as a tourist in my entire life for sure
  8. Yes, I am aware of that sir, but I believe that if USCIS approves, I will be able to get approval from NVC because, based on what I've read online, USCIS is stricter than NVC when it comes to expediting. I've already tried my luck. I uploaded all the documents and necessary files. We even appealed to the Senator. I guess all I have to do now is wait and hope for a little luck.
  9. We will use a joint sponsor financially. If I get the visa, I will be able to receive support. I already have plenty of family members, so basically I don't have a problem in this regard. So if I get the visa, I'll basically borrow money from my family members to settle down, and that's how it will work because that's how things are for me right now. I still tried my luck. If USCIS approves the Expedite request, I will do my best over the next few months, but as you said, they are very strict about Expedite requests. If I were sure I could get it, I wouldn't have brought it up. I have too many doubts for sure.
  10. We emailed the Ankara consulate directly to request a DCF, but they said we needed to withdraw our application from USCIS and haven't responded for a long time. They take about a month to reply to each email. If I send a total of 4 emails and spend 4 months, I will already have received approval from USCIS and it won't be necessary. I also need to accompany him because I can't send him alone. I don't have the financial means to do so, and it's not just about him going there; someone needs to provide him with money there. Unfortunately, I can't fund my own life in Turkey and send money to America at the same time. Believe me, the income level here is very low. My entire monthly salary is only enough for a single plane ticket. We can't provide enough support to my spouse here because my family is working and I'm working. She has pain, she needs to get her medication, her stitches need to be checked, and there are many additional processes, but there's no one to do it. This is putting pressure on me, so I prepared a good file for USCIS and sent it both directly to them and through the senator, but I have concerns. If it is not approved, I need to have a Plan B because this situation does not look good for sure.
  11. Hello, my spouse and I live in Turkey. We filled out the I-130 form. I am the beneficiary, and my spouse is the petitioner. My wife underwent bariatric surgery on October 17. She had a sleeve gastrectomy. She had this surgery due to many reasons, including heart problems, excessive breathing problems related to her weight, and gastritis that developed in her stomach. We I -130 form on June 4, 2025. I have had financial problems before. I am one of the victims of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange. I lost approximately $20,000 in 2023. For a country like Turkey, this was a significant loss. Because of this loss, most of my savings disappeared. Even after getting married, we are still living in my family's house and renting a house everyone in the house is working. In short, I am a victim of a serious financial loss whose effects continue to this day. My wife is experiencing severe pain after her surgery. Due to bariatric surgery, she needs a lot of psychological support and care. My entire family and I are working, so no one can look after her, and this situation is very upsetting. I don't have the means to send my wife to America regularly. My monthly income is nowhere near enough to cover it. Even if I could send her, she couldn't go because she is financially dependent on me and lives in Turkey. I don't earn enough with my income to sustain life in two different countries. In this situation, my spouse and I are in a difficult position. Unfortunately, my spouse needs essential family support and medical care. For this reason, we requested expedited processing for the I-130 from USCIS and our Senator. We have attached the following documents: - My spouse's hospital records (regarding the surgery) - My spouse's post-surgery photos - Emails and legally admissible financial documents regarding my losses on FTX - Proof of my salary payments to demonstrate the low amount of my wages - Health articles and supporting academic evidence indicating the necessary family and psychological support following this surgery - Our letters of intent detailing our situation I wanted to share all this for a similar reason. What are our chances of getting Expedite approval, or has anyone else experienced a similar situation? I would appreciate it if someone could enlighten me on this matter...
  12. After receiving all the responses, I agree with everyone. USCIS will probably not accept weight loss surgery as an elective and urgent condition. You are right about this, so I have decided not to submit an expedited request. We will follow the normal process. Thanks to all again to everyone who responded ^^
  13. Hello everyone, my spouse filled out an I-130 for me. We are currently living together in Turkey, and my spouse has a residence permit here. He was not planning to return to the US until my application was approved, but things are about to change. My spouse (petitioner) will soon undergo gastric bypass surgery, which is a somewhat risky procedure with complications that require follow-up care. She wants to spend the post-operative period in the US to avoid any risks, as her family and everyone who can provide her with personal support are there. However, they do not want me to stay here. At this point, we want to submit an expedited request to USCIS. If we obtain a signed report from the doctor stating that this surgery has complications and requires follow-up, and we send this to USCIS along with the letter provided by my spouse (petitioner), what are our chances of getting approval? Because after the surgery, he really needs general health support, supplements, and family support, I cannot keep him in Turkey, but we do not want to be separated for a long time after he leaves. What are the chances that USCIS will approve such a request? Evidence we will submit to USCIS For Expedite; - A signed doctor's report describing our condition - My spouse(Petitioner) letter regarding the expedite request and the letter stating the situation - An additional letter from my wife's family member on USA regarding what they are expecting her after surgery for a support What do you think about this issue? What are the chances of it being approved?
  14. Hello, we have already sent the I-130 form to USCIS. My spouse lives with me in Turkey and has a legal residence permit card here. He will soon undergo gastric bypass surgery here, which is a complicated procedure. We can document this with a report signed by the doctor, stating that it is a surgery that requires personal family support and follow-up. In light of all this, is my spouse eligible for DCF? Because my wife wants to return to the US as soon as possible after the surgery and continue her follow-up treatment in her own country. She doesn't want to be away from her family. Are we eligible for DCF? What are our chances of getting approval by submitting a signed report from the doctor, my wife's petition, and a petition from one of her relatives? Does our situation allow for this? In addition, the consulate in Turkey states in its detailed instructions that we should not have previously completed the I-130 form with USCIS, but this situation has only recently arisen. We have already completed the I-130 form with USCIS and would like to reapply for DCF because this new situation has arisen; otherwise, we would have waited. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and recommendations.
