  1. I just got notice by email. Manila processed her visa in about 24 hours. I'm shocked.
  2. I met my Fiance online in late 2023, met her in person feb 2024. Decided to get married and filed for k-1 in August. Returned to attend her college graduation in sept 2024. Visa just got approved on the 15th. Each visit was 2 weeks, so we've been in person a total of 4 weeks. Daily communication, however. Throughout the day. She's 20 years younger than me.
  3. Izza was approved today She reported that the financial documents were not asked for in her case. Most of what she told me she was asked about was relationship questions. Asking about my life, what we have in common(not surprised there is a big age gap).
  4. Yes and most likely an American would have been married in America not in the Philippines. There's no American CENOMAR, so it's a pretty pointless effort. If the American married a Filipino already in the Philippines, they could still go to America and get married without an issue. Is some American authority going to come and invalidate it because of a foreign marriage? Never heard of such a thing. It's 100% illegal in USA to be married to multiple at the same time, but someone would have to accuse you and bring evidence. It's just a very unlikely process that would have to occur with a low chance. Seems more like them giving a hard time than doing real protection.
  5. The cenomar is funny, the Philippines will not even be the authority used to get married.
  6. Good to know, we need to figure out the best way to do this smoothly and least expensive. Local background reports are way cheaper than $68 rap sheet from the FBI. I ended up getting an FBI report, but $68 vs $5 for a city report.
  7. I got mine today. I did the application yesterday and went to the post office around noon. It's now 3 hours later and I have the report. Sent it over to fiance so they can't stop her over that.
  8. Any kind of police records? So what if you got a city or county background check, I wonder.
  9. I think it's good to not get asked about the 134. The less scrutiny the less that can go wrong in this complicated, expensive, drawn out process. I'm interested to know what happens with your CFO. I'm right behind you. Izza has her interview on the 15th and I'm honestly more concerned about what hoops the cfo will make her jump through. I've had a discussion with some of my friends and I'm curious what you guys think. Imagine if they asked for fbi clearance and the US citizen had some bar fights that show up. The visa process does allow some offenses, but on the cfo website it says NO criminal history. Is this wording just an over simplification or would they really stop someone from leaving their country because of something that was there but passed the us federal?
  10. This is extremely annoying. My fiance is completing her medical exam now. Interview coming up soon. Now I have to deal with annoying councilors delaying the process more.
  11. I received an email from the embassy with instructions, I think it's referred to here as packet 3. I found it strange that the instructions of what to do next made no mention of the medical exam needed from st lukes. My beneficiary also received some mail at her home, but she works far away from home and hasn't opened those yet. Why aren't they mentioning the medical exam?
  12. Hi, I'm having a tough time trying to location some important details for filling out my timeline. I've searched for a thread, but coming up empty. How do I know that the consulate received the packet? We are doing a K1, recieved the k1-ftp by email and NVC shows ready status. We have not received the letter. Packet 3 and 4, what is this? Is this us assembling documents for the interview? What's the difference between the 2? why isn't the medical exam on the timeline?
  13. I tried searching here regarding the i-134 dependent question. I have 2 kids and they live with their mother out of state. I send money to their mom, but it's not court ordered. I don't claim them on taxes. I did list them on my petition of course. My default setting here is to do the same as with the taxes. To the IRS I don't have kids and my ex does.
  14. I'm having a real difficult time with this part. I feel strange about this step. I make well over poverty wages, more than double I think. However, I guess anytime someone inspects your finances to qualify it's never going to feel like enough is earned. Anyhow, the problem I'm having is that my bank Citi, doesn't have branch locations in Orlando. I don't know exactly what is needed. I have tax transcript from last year. Worked w-2. I just want to use my employment income to qualify. I looked over the guide here and it looks like the guide says go into a bank and get a letter, get your employer to write a letter, and get tax transcript. Do I need to do all of them?
  15. Looking in the guidelines here on the site, it says to send the packet that was sent to USCIS to the beneficiary. As you can see, for us that would be to the Philippines and the packet was pretty heavy. I’d rather not send all that if I don’t have to. Can’t she print it there? Is there something about printing it there that makes it unaccepable? I’ve also seen some filipinas video’s about their experience at the embassy being interviewed and there never seems to be any review of the packet. How did this guideline come to be?
  16. Ours was 3/4/25, still waiting. From the timeframes seen here I’m thinking it will be mid April before they update status.
  17. I got my letter, it was a noid. They say I didn’t include proof of citizenship , Intent to marry, and proof of meeting in person. All of which was originally submitted, but like I mentioned earlier, it was all sent back to me by the lockbox group. Now I have less than a month to resubmit.
  18. Mine took over a month back in July/august timeframe. I had a further mishap where I followed the guidance of a YouTuber that said to put in a copy. So they opened 2 cases and 1 got closed saying I didn’t sign. Now recently I got a notice of action on the site(waiting to see what I get in the mail, yay). When they sent the duplicate back, ALL of the evidence packet came too, except the payment form. I have no idea what USCIS actually got from the lockbox, maybe 0 evidence so I’m going to get an NOID because none of my evidence was forwarded to them. I guess it will allow me to add pictures from another trip I made to visit my fiancé last year and formally propose to her.
