  1. Oh sorry.... that's where we found it for the embassy website for Manila
  2. Check under Immigrant visas... Most if not all embassies handle the K-1 as an Immigrant visa right up until they print the visa. And do not worry about the approval notice expiration date. If the interview happens after that date and the visa is approved, the consular officer conducting the interview will automaticaslly extend the validity date of the approval notice.
  3. Also remember ther were two days in there (Jan 9th and Jan 20th) that the US Federal Government was "closed" and as such so was the embassy
  4. This is just a guess but I'm thinking it could be one of two things.... 1. Just a pure computer glitch with the USCIS website... Their website is terrible and known for its inaccuracy. 2. Your evidence was received by USCIS on July 20th (Physically or Electronically if you uploaded it through the portal) and that new notification is when an adjudicating officer actually started reviewing it. That's all I can think of. It certainly is strange.
  5. There is an option at the CFO seminar to print it out there for an extra 20 Pesos or something but Philippine Immigration does not want the paper certificate. "Too easy to counterfeit" so they say. They want to see the email from CFO with the certificate attached. I guess if the person's fiancee does not have a smart phone before they get to this stage, they will have to get them one. Jaycel had the printed out certificate with her when she went through Philippine Immigration and the officer said, "No, show me the email from CFO."
  6. There is no income requirement to file the petition, however the clock starts ticking down towards the times you will need to prove your ability to support your fiancee when she arrives in the US (This is at the Embassy interview phase) and then you will have to prove your ability to support her after you are married. (This is at the Adjustment of Status Phase). Having a joint sponsor is cool but like I said above, you are going to have to completely support her once she arrives in the US as she will not be able to work for quite a while. You'll have to also pay the fees for her Adjustment of Status and Employment Authorization applications ($1,700 for both if filed concurrently).
  7. TBH, you need to sort out your employment situation before thinking of petitioning your fiancee. Even if you guys could somehow get approval at the embassy for the visa, when your fiancee gets to the US, you will have to support them completely for at least 5-6 months as they will not be able to work until they get their Employment Authorization and that is only after you pay $1,700 for the Adjustment of Status and Employment Authorization applications with USCIS.
  8. Is he your BF or your fiance? Does he make more than 125% of the poverty guidelines for a two person household? This will be a huge problem after you get married and try to adjust status to lawful permanent resident - He will not be allowed to sponsor you until he files his back taxes
  9. Yes for the forms for financial support, the most recent tax year is 2023 until April 15, 2025 when it will then be 2024.
  10. They don’t put a sticker in the passport anymore. It’s all done electronically now. At the end of the seminar, at checkout, they will send the certificate to the email address she used to register. At the airport, Immigration will likely want her to show them the email from CFO on her phone and will ask her to open the PDF attached so they can see it. That’s what they did with Jaycel at immigration on her departure a few months ago. She does not have to put the money into travelers checks. That is not a requirement.
  11. No worries! Look... Jaycel's counselor for the 1-on-1 session was a pretty salty older Filipina who was not very nice and was very subtlely trying to get her to second guess her decision to marry an older man and go to a new country. All of the "horror stories" and scary statistics that the lady shared, Jaycel just nodded her head, said "Yes ma'am" and stuck to her guns about our relationship, how well she knew me, how much she wanted to start our married life in the US and she also had over 100 pages of proof of relationship to show the counselor. In the end, they let her go and get her certificate. Tell your fiancee to be respectful but firm in her decision to go to the US to marry you and confident in your relationship.
  12. Jaycel just reminded me that she also brought her CENOMAR to the appointment and the counselor did look at it.
  13. Ok if that's the case, tell her to go to this link to register and schedule an in-person appointment. She will need her passport and visa number handy to complete the registration. https://cfo.e.gov.ph/cfo-hybrid-frontline-services-for-gcp They have offices in Manila, Cebu, Davao and Baguio. Tell her to pay close attention to the requirements of what to bring. This is what the website says: The following are the GCP primary requirements: 1. Barcoded Confirmation form of GCP Appointment 2. Original valid passport and additional two (2) valid IDs; 3. Original valid visa and Confirmation of Permanent Residence (for Canada-bound only); 4. Petitioner’s passport copy or one (1) valid ID; and 5. Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marriage certificate in security paper (if married in the Philippines); 6. Report of Marriage in Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) security paper (if married overseas) Additional documents may be required in the event that the counselor / facilitator determines it to be essential to complete the guidance and counseling process. It is advised for all the GCP applicants to prepare the following documents in advance (if applicable to them): ● Divorce decree/certificate of Filipino spouse or foreign spouse (if previously married) ● Annulment papers of Filipino spouse or foreign spouse (if previously married) ● Proof of residency/Alien Registration Card-ARC of foreign spouse ● Proof of relationship (pictures together, e-mails, among others) ● Death certificate of Filipino spouse or foreign spouse (if widowed) ● Certificate of family relations / registration of foreign spouse ● Proof of Civil status or Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) ● Valid no criminal records certification/clearance or any equivalent document to indicate lack of criminal/derogatory record ●Documents in foreign language must be officially translated to English The biggies are: Barcoded Confirmation form of GCP Appointment, her passport with visa, proof of realationship and the copy of YOUR passport bio page. Jaycel brought her NBI Clearance and official copy of her Birth Certificate as well. Tell your fiancee that she should be prepared to answer very personal questions about your relationship. They will look at every piece of the proof of relationship that she brings. Tell her that once it is done, at the check out phase, they will send the digital copy of the completion certificate to the email she used to register. This email and the attached PDF Certificate is what she will need to show Philippine Immigration when she departs the country to fly to you. They do not want to see the paper certificate. They made Jaycel show them the email from CFO on her phone and then open the attached certificate.
  14. Do you know if she attended the seminar to get the certificate?
  15. Yes and the supporting documents that go with it.
  16. Did she have fer CFO-GCP certificate to show Philippine Immigration when she tried to leave?
  17. I know it's from a different country, but Jaycel and I did not fill out the DS-160 or schedule her medical until the status of our NVC Case showed "Ready" at the embassy. Note that the expiration date of the visa when it is issued will be 6 months from the date of the medical exam, not the date the visa was issued so you do not want to do the medical too early.
  18. Send ALL of the Bona Fide Marriage evidence you can put together, whatever they asked for in the RFE and include the original RFE letter (all pages of it) on top of your response. I would also make a copy of that RFE letter and a copy of the whole packet you send back to them for your own records. You do not send the I-485 again. I had an RFE on my I-129F and I also included a cover letter underneath the original RFE letter, itemizing all of the things I was sending to them in response to the RFE.
  19. OP reported they did not file the I-485, only the I-130
  20. This is perfect... Like Family said, bring it to a Notary Public and sign it in front of them so they can notarize it and send it in with a trackable express shipper. (USPS is probably the best here since I would bet the Service Center address at the bottom of your NOA 1 is a P.O. Box) I would even attach a copy of your NOA1 to the letter.
  21. This is actually better than what I wrote. You definitely want to do your best to protect any future potential victim of her scam by being 100% forthcoming about why you are withdrawing.
  22. I would keep it simple - After being married, you discovered that you and your wife are physically and emotionally incompatible, she has now abandoned the marriage and disappeared and that you plan to file for divorce or an anullment. The links provided by @Melancholic Mage above give you a great template and since you just filed last month, I would send the letter to the service center listed at the bottom of your I-797C receipt notice you received for the I-130.
