  1. Ok... Make sure you get married before the 90 days. You should not need the SSN for that For the name change, you can do it with the AOS forms. It was super easy for us to do it that way.
  2. First off, you need to make an appointment with your local SSA office to inquire about her card. She should also ask them to verbally tell her the SSN there at the appointment Secondly, have you sent in her application for AOS yet?
  3. If a vaccination needs multiple doses over several months to complete, you will be given the first in the series and then for the subsequent doses you will be given a blanket waiver that states "Insufficient time interval to complete series". Your requirement for that particular vaccine is considered complete with just the initial dose as long as the doctor completing the exam codes that section with that blanket waiver. I've attached a copy of Jaycel's Vaccination Documentation Worksheet (DS-3025) that the medical examiner is required to give you at the end of your exam. I've highlighted the appropriate sections for you to see how they do it. Then on the back of the form they should check the box that says "K visa applicant voluntarily completed vaccination requirements".

  5. I couldn't agree with @TBoneTX more on "Front Loading" the application.... This is exactly what Jaycel and I did because we knew that the Consular Officer conducting the interview will have access to the I-129F packet to review at the time of the interview (My I-129F submission was 110 pages) and Jaycel could tell from some of things he said during the interview that he was looking at the I-129F packet (commenting on things about me, about some of the places we'd been together, etc. that would not have been in her DS-160 application). We have also just recently met a Fil-Am couple here in Denver who were a couple of years ahead of us in the K-1/AOS process and told us that the USCIS officer conducting their interview for AOS said, "I see from the evidence that was submitted in your I-129F petition that you both were together for quite a while before you decided to start the fiancée visa process." They said after that, there were just a few basic questions and she was approved for her green card the day after the interview. Provide certified court copies of the disposition of the case for your DUI to USCIS in the I-129F application (I had to learn the hard way through an RFE that they require this) and the Consular Officer will disclose your history to your fiancée during the interview and ask her if she still wants to continue with the process. (At least they are supposed to).
  6. And remember that “God helps those that help themselves”… You and your spouse need to start taking an active role in this process and help yourselves. Lots of good advice has been given by the knowledgeable members here. You’d do well to listen

  8. Yes... See that every once in a while. Give it time, it'll clear up

  10. Jaycel's "Estimate" went from 13 months to 15 months to 14 months and now 12 months all in the last 4 days 🤪
  11. 100% with @Yareth above… as soon as the required time has passed, make the inquiry and get the investigation started

  13. Right now she needs you and the marriage to you in order to get her green card. If she can claim VAWA (that she was a victim of abuse by you) she no longer needs you to get the GC. She can claim that she entered into the marriage with a US Citizen (You) in good faith, she was then the victim of abuse by you and because of that she can file for a GC under VAWA.
  14. Yes... remain firm. For your daughter and, equally as important, for yourself. I know it's all been a terrible thing but look at it like this; you have to play the hand that SHE dealt you to the best outcome possible for you. And you don't want to try to get dealt a new hand because she's dealing from the bottom of the deck.
  15. Go to irs.gov and create an account. Once the account is created you can download the tax return transcript from that website

  17. One step closer!! Now you can track it on CEAC
  18. When I got the RFE for my I-129F petition it did NOT come certified mail. The only registered mail that I know of that USCIS uses is Priority Mail to send cards (Green Card, EAD, AP, etc.)
  19. If her medical exam abroad during the consular processing was less than 1 year from the date you’re filing the I-485 then no, a new one is not needed. You should include a copy of her DS-3025 she received from SLEC in the filing package and call it out in the table of contents in your cover letter to remind them to look for the medical exam results from her yellow packet CBP sent them after her Port of Entry.
  20. It will usually take a couple of business days for the status to show they received it
  21. Did you see this site from DoS @Nywoek? https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/STK-Stockholm.html
  22. Agreed 1000%... always do everything in your power to avoid delays, denials, RFEs, etc.
  23. Yes I saw that story And it does seem that they are asking for it a lot more now.
