Thank You. I was hoping this info might be helpful, or at least give a bit if hope to those waiting for the same application to be approved.

I recently received my replacement green card due to an error on my previous that I applied for in October 2024. Thought there may be someone out there who might like to know how long the process took. October 7 2024 I received my green card with an error, it had the wrong country of birth,called the uscis help line they told me do resubmit a I90 stating the error and return the card with the application. October 8 Sent my new I90 application for a replacement card to the locked box address in Phoenix AZ October 10 Application was received at the locked box. October 15 I90 application to replace resident card is activley being reviewed. June 25 2025 New card is being produced from form I90 application to replace permanent resident card. July 3 2025 Received new card no errors! The whole time the card was pending it said it would take approx 24 months. it actually took 8 months 3 weeks, a lot better than the 24 months I was expecting!

Thank You yes it helps greatly! I will make sure I add a couple of extra hours to my connection time to my domestic flight out of LA,just in case I get taken to secondary.

Thank You for the info,I have never been through secondary before, do you go straight there from immigration or would I pick up the luggage and then go to secondary ? Sorry for all the questions I like to be informed for anything that may occur during the process so I am not too frazzled!

Hello everyone Does anyone have any information on what to expect coming back into the USA( LAX will probably be the airport I fly into) with an ADIT stamp? Should it be a similar experience to travelling with my green card? Do I need extra paper work to show my green card was returned due to an error, which is why I have the ADIT stamp.Normally I would be asked how long I have been away and then fingerprinted and a picture taken and then free to go through to the baggage claim. My green card was returned October 2024 with a I90 application for a replacement due to an error. Thanks in advance for any information!

UPDATE.....I went forward and logged onto the USCIS portal and applied for the renewel of my 10 year green card. I had no issues, the portal worked fine without me receiving the email saying I had succesfully created the USCIS account.Hopefully this will help someone in the future if they have the same issue and are concerned. Thanks to those people who tried to help me with my questions, I appreciate it!

I assumed there would be people on this site who had created an USCIS online account and would know what I was referring too.

It was written in the instructions from theUSCIS website explaining how to create a online account,it was step 11 and step 12. I tried to attach of pic of the instructions but it failed.

Thanks for the reply...Yes I checked the spam folder when i created the account, nothing was there.Would updating another email address to the account trigger the email i should have received telling me i was successful in creating the account? The other options i can think of is just to use the account and hope for the best or call the help line and hope i get a real live person to ask for help, or just delete the account and start all over again and hope i receive the "you were successful in creating the account" email on the second attempt. I"m open to suggestions...

I decided to create a new USCIS online account,I followed the step by step information on how to create an online account from the USCIS page.My account was created,I can log on with the one time verification code sent via my e mail ,but I never received an e mail confirming that I successfully created the account which I believe should have been the last step .Should I be concerned the account isn't valid if I didnt receive the final confirmation email? I am anxious to get my green card renewed but am concerned my account may not be fully set up correctly.Any insight would be appreciated.

Good Morning I am getting ready to renew my 10 yr green card for the second time, last time i filed the I-90 in 2014 I had to create a USCIS E filing account which had a user name and password.Once I received my Green Card in 2015 I never had a reason so sign back into the account. Does anyone know if the E filing account in 2014 would still be valid? I tried to log on to renew my green card and i received a "Invalid email or password". I have photo copies of my first application in 2014 so the user name and password are correct. Would the USCIS E filing account 2014 be outdated and should I start afresh with a new account with the myaccount.USCIS that comes up when I visit the "how to renew your green card" page? Thank you for any help!
