Hi Mattu, What is the website? Can you send the link pleases...sincw you were able to check the date of expirey of your DS 260.. "Expiry date of my Ds-260 shows Oct-31-2025". That would of great help to me.

For EveK. I had updates on Nov 15, 18, and 19th today. Nov 15th, they acknowledged receipt of my passport, medical and photos. Nov 18th, they requested Ds 260 updated form and to email them the confirmation page.(Done same day) Todays update I believe is related to the email I sent them yesterday. Status still showing Refused! Is your DS260 more than one year old? It would have been most convenient if they had asked for it earlier?

We have been asked to send my spouse's passport to the Montreal consulate. With the ongoing Canada Post strike, who do I send it to them? Is there an email at which I can write to enquire. Thanks

Is US Consulate Montreal going to be using Canada Post, since there seems to be no definite date when the strike could end? Or are they offering an alternative?

Hi, A question for the members of the forum. My spouse attended the interview on March 15, 2024, at the Montreal consulate. We were asked to submit a DS5535 which we submitted immediately. We have got three unsolicited updates so far. Is this a good sign. The dates are about a month apart and on Mondays. Is there a pattern? Are we close to being asked to submit her passport? September 16, 2024 (Monday)-unsolicited October 21, 2024 (Monday) -unsolicited November 18, 2024 (Monday) -unsolicited

Hi...that is usually a good sign. The visa will still continue to be in "refused" status till all the documents are obtained by the embassy and checked. Once they are satisfied with the documents they will issue the visa.

Hi...My sposue submitted her DS 5535 in March, 2024. Since then there have been two unsolicited updates o Sep 16 and Oct 21, 2024. Is that a good sign. Can I expect to hear something positive within the enxt couple of months?

My spouse’s interview was on March 15, 2024, and she was asked to submit a DS5535 which she submitted the next day. Except for a few updates, there has not been any progress. She will be visiting her home country in February 2025. Will that delay her case? Also, does she need to inform the Montreal consulate about this trip after she returns (since it was not included in the DS 260 that she submitted)? Thanks

Hi...my spouse's DS-260 was filed in Nov 2021, and the interview was in March 2024. So, do I need to refile my DS 260, or wait for the Montreal conuslate to ask for an update?

Hi, From what email address is the communication from Montreal Consulate regarding passports, medical etc. Just noticed an unsolicited update on the website...and dont want to have the email going to junk.
