Hi...congrats...were there any unsolicited updates or status changes...or did it change straight from refused to issued

Hi...we contacted our congressman and this is the reply we got today (Jan 02, 2025). However, the passport was delivered on Nov 26, 2024. How do we contact the Montreal consulate? We confirm receipt of the medical examination, but we are still pending receipt of the passport and photos. All mail directed to the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal is received at an offsite mail processing facility. It takes additional time before the mail actually reaches the Visa Unit. If applicants do not send the mail using our courier service, longer mail processing delays may be expected. Once additional documents are received, an adjudicating Consular officer will review the case taking into consideration the additional evidence provided. As soon as the review is complete, the Visa Unit will provide you with further details regarding the status of the visa application.

Hi PendingDS5535...did you mean Dec 03 (instead of Jan 03)? My last update was on Dec 30, when I written them an email. Hope things change in the New year.

Hi...we are in the same situation...it is getting close to 4 weeks that the consulate has received our medical and passport...but it still shows refused. What is the sequence of updates.."refused"..."application received"..."approved"...".visa issued"

Hi Alex2024...two unsolicated updates on Dec 02 (after they received my passport) and Dec 05 (when my medical was uploaded by the doctor). I presume that these two updates are related to those two events. Is your passport with the montreal consulate as well?

Hi...hard to predict whe they update...our passport was received on Dec 03 and there was an update on Dec 04. However, our medical was received on Dec 05...and the update was on Dec 12...strange that there was no tracking for purolator..all the best

I am not sure if you can directly go to consulate and enquire....trying to call them up might be a better option...

omg...have you emailed the montreal consulate enquiring about your status? also have you tried contacting a senator/congressman to speed up matters.

Hi...i got one update (Dec 4th) after the passprot was received...but no update after medical was uploaded on Dec 5th. Since then there has been no update to my case.

Hi my spouse's passport and medical report have been delivered to the Montreal consulate on Dec 05 (last Thursday). Do I need to email the consulate asking for an update? My understanding is that things move faster when you enquire about your status, or am I wrong. I am worried that with the upcoming holidays, things are going to be delayed further. Anybody else in the same situation?

Are you able to see "Application received" when you log in. I am in the same situation...my passport and medical were delivered on Dec 5th....I only see "refused"

I think you need to generate a courier-in-certificate. We did...just to be sure.
