Nice try but this really accomplishes nothing. USCIS does not process petitions in order of reception regardless of what they say. You want good examples, just look at Igor's list here on VJ. Yes - petitions are processed closely to those of similar dates but there are many instances where petitioners who have filed weeks later than others are already approved, while the earlier petitions sit waiting.
A couple of years ago a poster here on VJ went through petitons on the USCIS site and manually entered each case number to attempt to figure out USCIS's adjudicating methods. I think that poster is still in therapy.
Long story short, your petition will be approved when it is approved and not a moment before. No amount of wishing will help the process and it is ultimately just a matter of time until the magical NOA-2 is recieved.

    Sara,
I respect your right to practice your religion and I do not question your beliefs - America was founded on the basis of freedom of religious persecution...
In my younger days I was a paramedic. I can tell you that when responding to a call I never thought to myself "wow - she is is hot". My priority was providing the best medical care I could for the patient and not having them die on me (I took it very personally when a patient died under my care).
In addition, I have many female friends who are nurses in varying specialities. None has never mentioned anything about Muslims having different body parts than other religions and their standard response is "you've seen one, you've seen them all".
About a year ago I suffered a significant injury to my groin when I was at work. I needed to go to the ER and be treated. My nurse was female, the ER doctor was female and the resident that followed the doctor and witnessed my exam was female. So it was me, my swollen groin and 3 females in the exam room. I was in so much pain that the last thing on my mind was that I was naked from the waist down and surrounded by 3 women. All I wanted in life was to be out of pain. They were professional and sex was the last thing on anyone's mind.
My point is that while America needs to be receptive to the differences we have and embrace our cultural/religious diversity, it does NOT mean that standards in medicine need to be adapted to suit the minority.
I hope you understand that my intent is not to offend you or anyone else, but if the worst thing that ever occurs in your life is that a male nurse attends to you when you are sick or suffering then it is indeed not a bad life.

Nope, It doesn't bother ME in the least who MY doctor is. Man, woman, Muslim, Jew - just treat me and make me well. I could care less about their bedside manner, couldn't care less if they like me or if I like them. Just do your job and don't kill me - we'll get along just fine.

    Welcome to VJ...
Whatever communication method you choose, just be sure that you can obtain records of calls. You will need these for the interview to prove ongoing relationship.
Many posters have freaked out because just prior to their interview they've found out that call records are not provided and in some Embassys they are crucial to approving the visa.

Thanks for clarification as to the definition of "Guesstimate", but you did not include USCIS's appended definition: Verb, Whenever the hell they find your petition lying in a damp corner and decide to adjudicate it...

Let's stop the the rhetoric, the religious intolerance, and stereotyping. Some of the discussion is being deliberately misleading as it is introducing information as 'fact' that was not in the original article. These 'introduced facts' are made to encourage religious intolerance and stereotyping and as such are coming across as deliberately provocative. If you are going to argue the facts of the situation, then stick to the real facts rather than creating false arguments and trying to turn the situation into something it is not.

I don't have a problem with you or anyone else wanting to feel comfortable with your medical care. What I do have a problem with is in circumstances in which it is REQUIRED that there be an MD available that speaks your language or when YOUR religious/cultural standards trump others using the same facility.
Here is the bottom line. When you are searching for a primary care physican, you are free to choose who will care for you in an office setting. You want a Dr. that speaks your language, fine. You want a Dr. of a particular sex, fine. BUT when you go to the hospital for treatment then your medical care should be the primary concern not accomodating your language/cultural/religious preference - UNLESS - you find a facility that was built with private dollars specifically to serve a segment of the population.
Nor should they have an obgligation to fulfill it. Shouldn't the primary basis be about the level of treatment?

Well, the media in this country is definitely liberally slanted, so they post these sgtories to take pot shots at the Republican congressman in Alabala as well as the Republian Alabama Governor Robert Bentley.
I agree that immigration enforcenemt up to now has been laughable in this country. There are an estimated 20+ million undocumented immigrants in this country that use our resporces, health care and do take some of the jobs Americans would take.
I also agree that these folks came here with the knowledge that they could be caught and deported, but as I said - the children will be made to suffer the sins of their parents.

    Respectfully,
Even a few flies send the wrong message. A child born to illegal immigrants and automatically having earned citizenship is akin to a child born of bank robbers to be entitled to keep the money from the robbery.
While I think we can all agree that it's not the child's fault in this situation, it does not change the fact that ill gotten gain from a wrongful deed is still wrong.
