Seems to me you already provided plenty in that area.
  2. Read the 129F instructions carefully, slowly, several times.
  3. Have you tried contact with the USCIS? That seems like the next course of action for you.
  4. What??? Cutesy nicknames but not married?? How can this be a problem? At the very most, an RFE/I later to clarify. I wouldn’t slow anything down, at the most, a simple clarification. The biggie is, are you officially married or not, with documentation, sounds like not. My beneficiary calls me ‘husband’ all the time, zero worries for me. I didn’t sent copies of those texts though. Anyway, I wouldn’t slow anything if sent, clarification at the most.
  5. I think it is over. Yes, I’d rather just give her $50, and forget about the piglets.
  6. I kinda squashed the idea, without any damage. I just thought it was a little out of the norm, especially with the 129F process moving along.
  7. This screams a terrible idea to me, am I missing anything? Things are well overall, a month or so until through the USCIS process, 129F. She was floating the idea of raising a few pigs for profit? She doesn’t have much room, little to no experience doing so. A quick net search shows the practice in the Philippines break even at best. Am I to much of a skeptic? Again, things are well overall. I think she would really try it. I’m just thinking, with the ultra low labor costs there, and expenses, any profit would be minimal. It’s like the neighbor selling backyard chucked eggs for $3 a dozen, profit is usually negative.
  8. I was told an ‘estimate’ of 1-3 months at the NVC. That would be a fair amount shorter than time at the USCIS.
  9. Where are the participants? You in NJ, he/she in the Philippines?
  10. Thanks, I’ll forget the idea of overthinking the process.
  11. Thanks, oh, I see the failure rate is down near 10-15%, so maybe not that bad. With that letting the cards fall where they may, will be the course of action. Just to reiterate, the plan wasn’t to show anything to St Lukes. It was to do an independent test, then if needed, independent treatment. I do realize St Luke’s would do everything independently, only dealing with their own treatment.
  12. Just an idea, the thought is to get a lung x-ray prior to the St Luke’s medical exam? What if the beneficiary went to another hospital to get a chest x-ray, looking for the same ‘sputum’ condition? Then if a problem was evident, one could start treatment months before the official medical check? What is the first time failure rate? Lung exam? Just a thought as the 129F is moving along. Some mention antibiotics, may I ask the type/name, OTC??
  13. I’m kinda new here, been poking around, trying to figure things out. Filling out your own ‘timeline’ helps, plus others can tell what you’re referring to. My timeline started to show 129F through the USCIS in Nov, it has slowly moved up to mid to later June. I’ve tried to get ready for the next steps, before they get here, not much I can do now. I recently got back from my 3rd trip to the Philippines, kinda a hike, but enjoyable. It’s another 1:40 flight after landing in Manila.
  14. I researched a little, consensus seemed to be, if needed you can get them with your medical check. I would lean to wait.
  15. Hey, I know it’s an estimate, not making any plans based on the info. My first question, is there hope of the estimate being fairly accurate? The 2nd question, is that just for the 129F through the USCIS? After that one has the NVC then the interview & medical in the country. So does one have to ‘estimate’ another 4 months(or whatever) after the end of the estimate? I know, the easy answer is, it’s just an estimate. Just wondering with any that compared one to actual outcome. Thanks.

    Eva Air

Heading out today, through Haneda/Tokyo. After Tokyo my plan is Manila then down near Cebu.
  17. My fiancée is in Gen Santos City, Philippines. We are early in the process, 129F received, receipt number. I was looking ahead, I see a request for an immigration record. She mentioned it should be available, should. My questions are, maybe more for her, is it hard to find a replacement copy? I imagine a process. How important is this record, at the medical? The more important thing, does the USA require shots that likely have to be added? Yes I did see some type of at least recommended immunizations for USA entry. I thought if needed, we could start now. One last thing, I have read about not passing the lung X-ray the 1st time. With that comes mention of taking a broad based, OTC antibiotic. What is the name of this antibiotic? I realize the next option is to involve a doctor. I’m just trying to stay ahead of preventable 3 week to 2+ month delays as able, thanks.
  18. It’s not everyone, many are supportive. Most cautions come from those that would have zero experience with the process & doing so. Just yesterday I related a few of my plans to a work acquaintance, they went on to tell me about a family member that was taken advantage of with a ‘love scam’. I’m not just off the starting blocks, I’ve seen incipient untruthful events develop, steered clear. Of course I can bounce that off others that are in the middle of longer term success with a foreign born spouse. No I’m not about to change any actions, yes, romance scams are common. Look at recent events in Columbia, anyone should use due diligence. In a sense it can be like ‘throwing the baby out with the bath water’, to discard something real while trying to protect yourself from a scam. I understand this audience, many in the visa process to bring someone over. I just wanted to relate something I hear fairly often. I imagine others hear similar from family & friends.
