  1. I know I'm being impatient here. I filed for AOS last March 27, 2008. I already received my Receipt notice and even got my Biometrics Appointment Notice but until now I still unable to check my case status online. Everytime I enter my application number it says Validation Error(s). Are there any March applicants that has the same case with mine? Is this normal that they just don't update their system regularly?

Mine took about 3 weeks. It says you added me as a friend. Is that right?

Okay, then maybe i will just keep on checking everyday. Yes that is right... if it's okay with you, soulprovider.

Absolutely!! Not a problem at all. I'm new to this site as well and I've never seen the "add as friend" before. Totally OK Jenna!!!

  3. I've been typing in our number on the USCIS to get case status. My form says the first three letters are MSC and then the numbers. It was received on the 3/5 with letter date 3/10. No case status. So I changed the first three letters around to EAC and then something comes up that appears to look like my case but it says that it is an I-130. I never filed and I-130 for a K-1??? Is this me or somebody else? Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine starts with MSC too and I bet that status is for somebody else. This is actually a common problem and what you need to do is wait until it comes up. There are also others who share the same experience. You can confer with other March filers in this thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...0&start=270 who are in the same situation. Anyway, hope you will be able to get through soon and keep us posted. :)

So you're saying that people can have the same number but a different service center prefix?

  5. Hi guys,

If anyone can help me I will be very appreciate. Me and my husband we don't have health insurance and dental plan, and I would like to know how to find good plan, I mean what would be the best "deal".

We live in NYC and if anyone have experience about it. Please let us know :-)))

If your self employed look up NASE (National Association for the Self Employed) They have good rates. Other than that you're probably going to pay through the nose. Choose a high deductible and keep a credit card handy to cover the deductible if you ever need it. You'll save money on premiums that way.

  6. Hello everyone. I just sent my wife's I-485 to Chicago on 3/3/08. We've been married since 7/17/03. (Long Story) When does the clock start for her to apply for citizenship? I realize that she has to adjust status first, but does it start 3 years from the marriage date or from the permanent residence approval? Thank you!!!

She can file for Citizenship 3 years from the date she was approved for AOS.... once she has her Greencard have a look at it and you will see "Resident Since" use that date, add on 3 years that will be the date she is eligible for citizenship, you can file the N-400 application 90 days before that date.

    Kez

2 years and 9 months- correct if I'm wrong..

Its actually 3 years -90 days, that is the earlist you can file the N-400.... 90 days does not always = 3 months..

    Kez

Thank you all, I just wanted to be sure. One more question. How long does it usually take after she applies?
