  1. The best tips for a successful resume are keep it brief, keep it professional

    -no pink paper,

    -no partyallnight2010@email.com email address,

-no I like to ballroom dance (unless applying for a dance instructor position), no hobbies or interests at all unless relative to the position applied for, keep it brief and professional

-don't list personal references, or even an available upon request. If they want them, they'll ask.

-don't list a selfish objective (everyone says to further my experience in this field yada yada yada, it's completely unneccessary, and typically self-serving)

Keep in mind the person looking at your resume has limited time and is looking through dozens of resumes in most cases. Keep it simple and professional and the shorter the better.

I would most definitely list your previous work experience from Canada.

    List your education.

    Your contact info.

    And that's it.

Thank you for you're input. Ya'll have great ideas. I really love how people here at VJ are always willing to help :) I've got alot of work to do. If ya'll have any other pointers I would appreciate them as well.

  2. I won't wear my garlic necklace in your presence then.

lol, alright. That is a wise decision. I love Garlic. mmmmm, especially in my fav dish! roasted red pepper cous cous with garlic and Basil. I just had to put my two cents worth in and actually explain somewhere what the diet is about from what I read. Don't worry ya'll I do know that you're all joking with me

  3. Oh that's a good point, I didn't even think of that. I guess they don't know how dangerous Russell is. And how smart of him to cozy up to Parvati! God, she is so annoying (it must just be that I'm jealous!). Jerri was right when she said that she wished she could bottle some of that up because it's powerful stuff.

I was laughing so hard when Jerri made that comment because she is known as Survivors orignal "bad girl" or "black widow" as I believe Jeff called it...

  4. Heroes will probably lose - since they are doing "villain" things now, before any merge or whatnot, instead of concentrating on not going to tribal.

I hope not! Although they are still 2-1 in regards to tribal. It's just easier to "hate" the villians so to speak. The Heroes just need to find their mojo, it's still anyones game right now.

  5. i don't really like the taste of blood

ha ha ha! the diet is about what type of foods to eat for each blood type so that it could be more beneficial to your health and the way our bodies work.

  6. I read about Blood Type Diet. I thought it was interesting.

I thought so too. I would have been awesome to actually hear of someone who tried the diet though. I want to know if the studies and stories within the research and what benefits each blood type is true.

  7. I'll miss the episode tonight as I'll be picking up Vanessa from the airport....

I joked with her though and said she might have to wait.

That's what they make online watching availabel for though I suppose :)

I can't believe they didn't get rid of Pavrati last week... What a mistake lol. I would have gotten rid of her in a heartbeat.

Granted, that's TV for you, they make you 'think' that everyone is saying one thing.. when there's several hours we don't get to see!

I totally agree with you! I would have too, that girl is sneaky let me tell ya. lol I can't believe that Russell actually hid the machetti on the rest of his team. It's sad that you'll be missing the episode. We'll keep you informed. Plus the internet, and on the CBS website usually has the episodes online now.

  8. I usually catch up over the weekend.

Now why didn't the Villains vote off Russell instead of Randy? It's like they didn't even watch last season.

From the special before the show started, and to my knowledge Russell filmed his seasons back to back, so the people on this season really dont know how he played the last one. He's got a really big advantage compared to the rest of the team right now. I wouldn't be surprised if he made it to the merge or even to the top two. Well if he keeps under the radar so to speak. He also has the advantage of being on the same Island that his previous season was filmed on. He's got alot going for him. I was hoping that the Villians would vote Parvarti off. She at this point is more dangerous that Russell and Randy. She made it to the top of both of her previous seasons (and won one of them) just by flirting with the men, and the men kept her because they figured that she would be the easiest to beat come the final two or three. And if she makes it to the merger she has a big advantage because there are at least 5 people from the Heroes side that played with her in previous seasons, and two of them went to the end with her. She would have that going for her. We'll have to see what happens tonight :)

  9. Burnhamthorpe/Cawthra, me.

Time for more pics. Would you like a vowel?

    WheelofSTFU.jpg

I know of that area, a fair hike...nothing unreasonable though. hmmmm....thats a tough one, my guess would be: U? lol

  10. us nice people shouldn't be hated in OT. I've found some pretty helpful information in the past on here as well. I just came here today to talk about something other than my AOS application. It's nice to have a little break every once in a while, ya know? Have a little fun :)

  11. My mom has a book for that.

    I think it's a bunch of hooplah.

Just eat the right amount of calories a day and exercise.

I believe in exercise and eating right is the best way to go as well. I just tend to ask questions when I am curious about things. It's hard to explain, but I enjoy hearing what others have to say.

  12. Everyone has their own preference right? I was just intrigued by the literature/readings. So I became curious if it does indeed work.

Vampires do it. Why shouldn't you ?

ha ha ha, that's hilarious :)

  13. I'm watching it right now with my hubby. Suprisingly it is the first season I have ever seen of the show. I'm hooked! Sayid seems a little different to my husband as well.

  14. I was wondering if anyone has heard of , or tried " the blood type diet"? was looking up ways to be healthier and build a stonger immune system, and I came across the books and information online. Thinking about giving it a try.
