  1. My situation was EXACTLY like that! I got my card about 3 wks later though so not too bad
  2. just to add the visa and medical are linked so if you don’t enter within the 6 months of your current medical, you might need to reapply for visa as well to be reissued
  3. if you enter in January you have 90 days from that. Not when the medical is. You can arrive 179 days after the medical and you have 90 days to marry or you can enter 1 day (in theory) after the medical and you still have 90 days to marry. It will be the exact same and you have 90 days from that point. The medical becomes irrelevant once you step on US soil
  4. plus not sure why you ask this same question every 3 months!!! Isn’t gonna change. Plan for 2034…
  5. It will depend on country, but assuming Pakistan like your profile says, you’re probably looking at another 6-10 years.
  6. Of course. I was being a little unkind 🫢 but you’re right. It’s def a point to note for others. We chose CR1 primarily so I could carry on working/earning whilst our visa progressed. I have a good job/earn very good money and would’ve been a nightmare to be unable to carry that on. (Incidentally my employer was able to transfer me onto their US business once I had my visa, so I carried on that way. Would that be an option for you too?)
  7. many spend the time regretting going through the K1 route and asking themselves why they didn’t go CR1…
  8. there is nothing against you firing a gun, as a tourist (obv provided it’s done safety etc) many gun ranges (just about all in vegas!) will allow tourists to go and rent/shoot in them too, provided you have government ID (such as passport)
  9. why on earth would you try and create a problem?! It will take months for the form to be approved - what difference will a few days make?! I will be sending mine in 85 days before the deadline. And then sit back with a beer and chill.
  10. i dunno. I quite like the sound of tennis ball sized testicles… this dude must be unlucky though. No one else on earth has had that side effect…he knows 3 people!
  11. It could be. They choose not to, ultimately. May get even longer/slower with a change in president if that happens
  12. Mine is just a regular Santander one. Not a web only one
  13. Ive kept my U.K. one open. Changed the address to my parents there, and every so often when I’m back in U.K. I just put a few quid through it to keep it live. Had no issues at all. Been in US coming up a year now.
  14. your husband doesn’t need to be physically with you but MUST be in the country already if not. You cannot enter the country without them being there.
  15. it’s mostly done electronically now, as you say. check at the bottom just to the right of your photo. Can you see it say “IV DOCS IN CCD”? That means the docs have been sent electronically.
  16. I have no idea!!!! im just telling you what that stamp says
  17. hi From that pic, it shows the POI was ‘NEW’ (that’s the airport code) a quick search shows that to be a regional small airport serving the New Orleans region (lakefront airport) does that seem feasible?
  18. do you not have an apartment to give notice on? A house to sell? Possessions in your home country? A car? Etc etc if you AOS you potentially won’t be able to leave the US for almost a year! What happens to all those things?
  19. the US embassy is a fairly short walk from Vauxhall train/tube station (on the Victoria line). Find a good priced hotel that works for you and your other travel and use the tube if you can. It’s pretty straight forward. Good luck.
  20. once you’re in the US (any state) you are in the country. No one will ask or check your status again. You are free to move around any of the states as you wish to travel or marry.
