    We have the medical exam scheduled now for next week. We are waiting for the police certificate too. once we get those 2 done, we can then schedule the embassy interview. Really hoping the embassy interview can be scheduled quickly and not have to wait for months. edit; just looked, the police certificate will take 30 to 90 days 😕

    Do you not report this income on your taxes? You better hope you never get audited. Even with a sponsor, you need some income or assets. You can get denied even with a sponsor if your personal financial situation looks very bad.

    How do you schedule an interview? I thought the embassy had to do that for you. Or is that embassy dependent? The embassy we're going through said we have to submit the ds-160, i-134, and other forms first before we can schedule an interview.

    It took us around 62 days after NVC assigned a case number before they shipped the petition to the embassy. NOA2 feb 27th, and it arrive at the embassy last monday.

    The embassy today emailed us to say we had to reply to the email with a long list of things, such as the ds-160 and I-134, before we can schedule the interview. It all has to be put into 1 pdf file too, which is kinda annoying. I would have scanned the documents before I sent them to my fiancee if I knew I have to email the documents too.

    We waited 2.5 months after we got the NOA2 before the NVC sent out the documents to the embassy.

    And now today its marked as ready!!

    Have you been on any government assistance before? If not, then you are likely fine. The i-134 is much less strict. The I-864 is much more strict about income, which you fill out after you get married.

    I don't think so. I did the "shipping hack" and there is nothing. I checked the website tracking ever day and it only updated today. The email they sent me had a document dated for today.

    My petition was sent out TODAY! Does that mean the shipping dates on the first page is wrong?

    IT WAS SHIPPED OUT TODAY!!!!! YAY!!!! Isn't that weird though? I thought it only shipped out on tuesday and wednesdays?

    You'd have to demonstrate that its more than just a concern and show its highly likely she'd face danger. The k1 process only takes around 10 to 13 months currently.

    Do you plan to continue to live with your parents? If so, then you will probably be fine if your mom helps sponsoring. They look at household income in addition to personal income. If you plan to move out soon on your own, you'll definitely want to boost your income, even with a sponsor. There are some cases where people are denied even with a sponsor since they have low income and have previously been on welfare. Assets contribute to income too, so remember to add up any savings you may have too.

    Ours was still not shipped Another 2 weeks we have to wait now.. Its already been 10 weeks since we got NOA2

    Some of us have been waiting for around 2 months I sent an inquiry and they didn't tell me anything new, just that it was received.

    I think you're suppose to provide recent pay stubs too, to show your income/job is current. If you do that, then the W-2 wouldn't be necessary I wouldn't think.

    We've been waiting since March 11th. I have no clue why it's taking so long for us. 3 times longer than the average of 20 days.

    They replied but didn't tell me anything new.

    I've been waiting 40+ days, but others are hearing back after ~20.

    I did a public inquiry to get my case number, but thats it. What should I asked exactly? The timeline stats say the average processing time is 17 days, but its been over 40 days for us..... Just feels like something must be wrong?

    same! Case assigned March 11th. Still at NVC.

    I got our NOA2 on Feb 27th, case assigned on March 11th, and its STILL "at NVC". Shouldn't it be heading to the embassy by now?

    This is so helpful! I know what date my case number was created now, so I can add that to my timeline. I know it was sent to NVC on Feb 29th and now I'm just waiting every day waiting for the next step. I'm learning now that I should be filling out the DS-160 asap. I didn't know about that form (its not mentioned anywhere in the k1 guides?) I'm trying to learn everything I can while waiting!
