March 2025 AOS Filers
PokuPoku replied to KStr2022's topic in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports
Interview scheduled!!!!!!!!!!!! So happy!! Still no update on her work authorization (last update was ~28 days ago saying they transferred her case to another office), but so happy we got an update for the green card at least! For their cases, we can't check online, we have to wait until the notice arrives in the mail to see when the interview is scheduled for (please don't be December 4th or 5th). -
Do We Need an Interview Letter or Not?

We were immediately able to find a slot ~3 weeks out once we were told we could schedule an interview. -

Nope. I was roughly equal to the income requirement, but I had ~$50k in assets. -
Do We Need an Interview Letter or Not?
PokuPoku replied to BoWrite's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
I don't think we tried. We just waited to get a letter so we knew that the embassy had the documents. We didn't get a letter, but I instead got an email with the list of things required. We had to compile all the required documents into a single PDF file and send it back through email before we were allowed to schedule. We didn't try to schedule before that, but we were able to sign up for the account. I don't remember if we had the ability to view or schedule an appointment before then. -
Do We Need an Interview Letter or Not?
PokuPoku replied to BoWrite's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
My wife never received a letter, but we did receive an email from the embassy with a list of things we needed to complete before scheduling an interview. Once we completed the list and emailed them back, they let us schedule an interview. You'll need to make sure you have everything completed before scheduling an interview. -

Yea I think this is more good news than bad. Its nice knowing the case didn't fall into the trash or something. They sent a letter with an explanation, so we should get that around friday or monday to see what it says. -

We finally got an update to the work authorization, but, uhhh What does that mean? Why would it be transferred? -

Same thing was happening with my wife when she filled it out last year. Try using internet somewhere else like a cafe or try using a VPN. -

She was in the middle of the chat with support agent on the website and gave all her information and they said give them a moment to collect information and 5 minutes later of no reply, the chat reset back to the start and cleared the chat log. If just one thing could go right, it would be really nice. -

PokuPoku replied to KStr2022's topic in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports
My wife did receive a response to the inquiry.. 2 weeks ago, but my she didn't actually notice the email until today. She said it didn't appear on her phone but did on her computer. anyways It doesn't matter much I guess because the response was "we can not provide the information you requested. It is not clear that you are the subject of the requested information or have the legal authority to act on behalf of the applicant or petitioner." ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The email she told me to use was a different email than listed on her application, so idk if that was the reason for the response, but doesn't feel like it should be since the birthdate and a-number was correct. I don't think any of the info in the inquiry was incorrect. She's on the phone with the support line that was in the email right now. -

Thanks for the info. Hoping we get a scheduled interview soon. -
We're in Alabama too. You should be happy you got your work authorization, since my wife still hasn't got hers. But yea, the VJ average is like 6 to 8 months right now, so, since we all applied around the same time, around October is the earliest either of us should expect our cases to be scheduled. I think she meant 32 weeks?

PokuPoku replied to KStr2022's topic in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports
Well, enough time has passed that we can submit an inquiry into why her employment authorization is taking over 5 months to be processed. I would really like to understand why her case is taking 3x longer than anyone else's case on the forums. -

Oh, well thats good to hear. Looks like we actually submitted our AOS and EAD a day or 2 before you did.. but you got a quicker NOA, biometrics, EAD, and interview date. Well thats disappointing for us. I guess since our biometrics were 1 month after yours, our interview will also be 1 month after yours, in October? Hopefully? -

My wife applied for SSN before getting married, but never received anything, even after 2 months. Its been over 4 months since applying for work authorization, and still nothing. Assume nothing will go smoothly. -

For my wife and step daughter, their RFE was accepted a few days before their biometrics were updated, so around May 15th. So even if they didn't start processing their case until may 15th, thats still 3 months. -

We had a RFE too, but that was soon after we submitted the application. -

Hey, any update? I am in the exact same situation with my wife. I was about to start a new thread but this is identical to us. Please update your timeline @narayan333 For my wife, its been 135 days. Its been 78 days since the "Check Case Status" page was updated with her biometrics. We tried to submit an inquiry, but it says we can't until September. Her green card status has been "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview" since May 28th. It just concerns me that we have had 0 update in over 2 months. -

Ours has been "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview" since May 28th for green card. For work authorization, its "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken" since May 21st. -

Still no EAD. Tomorrow will be 3 months, so I guess I'll file an inquiry tomorrow. I wasn't prepared to go over 7 months without dual income.
