  1. I talked to my recruiter. He said he might be able to help me get through this. The process is really confusing. The main point though is I researched every other factor besides green card. Green card is the only factor I'm not qualified by yet, and it won't matter until bootcamp. Right before starting bootcamp I'll be asked for the green card. That's basically what's going on, and I'll update further. I think there are people like me who are interested to serve, so it might help them. Literally never heard of this, thanks for the enlightenment.
  2. The FFL doesn't make sense to me, because I want to eventually become a US citizen and serve this country.
  3. Would it make a difference that I entered the US legally on a visa, and filed for asylum before that visa expired?
  4. Hi there, I currently have a pending asylum case and an interest to join the US military. Military is one of my dream jobs. Obviously, this job has specifics to it that keep me from signing up. I don't have a green card, but I have heard about people who waived that requirement. This requirement was waived by them even after the MAVNI program. This program is over now, and I know that, so I'm just asking if there are any other possibilities. Possibilities like serving temporarily. Possibility of starting to serve. Possibility of being in that military circle. I would love to hear anything that might come up. Thanks in advance!
