Hi all - finally got an interview booked today for November 9!

Still waiting for Montreal consulate to open dates. It's so stressful! I'm scared I'm gonna miss out on dates so I check every 1 to 3 hour.

Yes I did, and I apologize for not updating my post in this thread! It’s been a hectic week. I was so upset after missing out on the appointments that opened up last Monday, but then they opened up again on Wednesday and a bunch of people from the K1 Facebook group tagged me, so I was able to book in for today and I just got approved!!
 
The last 2 openings both happened at 12PM Montreal time. You really have to be right there when it happens because they’re gone very quickly. Best of luck with booking!
Please join the FB group if you haven’t already! I was tagged when appointments opened and that’s seriously the only reason that I was able to get one. At my worst and most stressed I was checking multiple times an hour, so I totally understand. At this point I don’t think they’ll open any more this month, but be prepared on the first Monday of September.

I just wanted to share that I’ve booked an interview for next Thursday, August 18th! The Montreal embassy didn’t have any appointment dates open up for a month and the waiting was agony! My NOA1 was Feb 7, 2022 and NOA2 was April 4, 2023. 

For me personally, my case was received at the consulate in Montreal and it was sitting on ready for few days.. And then I received a letter from the NVC saying they forwarded my case to the embassy.. and then a week later I received my packet 3 with directions. After sending my packet 3, I got my packet 4 the next day.. now I'm just waiting for an interview spot to open so I can schedule and pay the fees. Hope my time line helps you a little bit.

My fiance had the interview in Buenos Aires and was approved.  She should get here in the next 4 weeks or so.  First week of September.

NVC "Ready" on CEAC: 25/7/2023... furiously types mail to Johannesburg Consulate
JHB Consulate sends P3 (which really is just a list of next steps & docs to bring to interview): 27/7/2023
We complete DS-160 & make the $265 payment - same day
Only interview available now is 10/8/2023 - not feasible for us.
Waiting for next available interview date (apparently released monthly).... [insert last-of-my-last said patience]

Got my P3 on July 29, sent it back July 30 and received my P4 today!
No interviews available to book yet but getting excited!!

Seems like a bunch of folks got their "sent to the embassy" mail today! Yay! Us too! Thinking of everyone else still waiting, we will all get there 🌈
NOA2: 31 March (we received it on the 3/4/23). After multiple enquiries we received a response on 30/6/23 from NVC-Research saying "we received but awaiting input". And now they've let us know its on its way to South Africa, hoping for a speedy turnaround to Joburg and to be with my babylove in Oct (or earlier)🤞🏽!

Just got the news that our case has been forwarded to the embassy in Naples. Its going to be a few days/weeks before they receive it but we are on the way!

I also got the email that it is being shipped to the embassy.  I wonder how much longer we have to wait to schedule an interview?  Are there any estimates on how long it takes to wait and schedule an interview?  Trying to decide whether I should plan to see my fiance in Europe or something in September/October depending on the wait time.

And just now I received the formal email that it is being shipped from the NVC to the Embassy! 👏 👏 👏
