    OP, don't be tempted to just hide the facts, even if your wife used fake credentials (fake name, and random SSN) to conceal her real identity.
    Don't take the chance of underestimating the capabilities of USCIS and Homeland Security, because it may lead to serious repercussions.

    @Martin 817 you need to have an open and honest talk with your wife. She needs to tell you the entire story. 
    Did she work under the table? Did she file taxes? What type of documentation (if any) did she give to her employers…
    You should then go to an immigration lawyer for a consultation and they will be able to tell you if your wife is eligible to file for an immigration benefit.
    Working without work authorization is forgiven if you are married to a US citizen but if she lied and stated she was a USC you have big problems.
