  1. Yes, you can be both. I'd message them but it will take them a while to get back to you, so if you can then I'd also submit the DS-260 confirmation page, and a covering letter re-confirming you are the only applicant and don't have any dependents. You might find that gets you DQ'ed earlier than waiting for them to get back to you via the enquiry service.
  2. Weird. Mine just said 'completed' too, it sounds like they think you've got a spouse or children. As above, I'd submit your confirmation page and then reiterate that it's just you with no dependents.
  3. You can sponsor him for a green card once you become a citizen. Not a quick route though. Or he can look to see if he’d qualify for an employment or investment route.
  4. It's not the same, immigrant visa applicants usually have to wait for the interview to be scheduled for them. HTH.
  5. Congrats! Concluded unless you decide to apply for citizenship in 2028….and then that’s another application to go through. Best to enjoy the green cards for now and not think about that yet though. 😂
  6. No, there’s still a lot of steps to go through. See the webpage below, you’re only at step 1 of the process now. Just keep an eye on the Visa Bulletin (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2023/visa-bulletin-for-september-2023.html) to see when your step sons Priority Date might be coming up, you’ll be asked to start the NVC process before it’s current (Table B), but no interview will be scheduled for him until it’s current (Table A). Good luck. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/step-2-begin-nvc-processing.html
  7. Could be tricky getting in to Canada as a visitor if your aim is to find a job and stay, make sure you have ties to the Phillipines still - and the job hunting/LMIA process can easily take 6 months, so make sure you have funds to support yourself whilst unable to work, and good insurance too. Of course, this assumes you're already licensed to work as a nurse in Canada?
  8. What the reason for visiting the US, do you have family there? What ties can you show to Pakistan (job, family, etc)?
  9. Just to confirm, your spouse is a US citizen and not a green card holder?
  10. You’ve not said which category or which consulate, nobody can help without that info.
  11. Oh I see what you mean, I thought you meant people whose PD isn't current and who haven't been DQ'ed yet. Actually have just realised your PD, seems odd that you weren't DQ'ed until July this year?
  12. Yes, it'll be done by DQ date, not PD. So anybody whose date becomes current in the October VB won't impact your wait at all, they'll be a long way behind you in the queue for an interview. If you know you've still got at least 4 months wait then it's probably worth re-enrolling the kids in school for February unfortunately.
  13. Your PD is current isn't it? So the VB isn't relevant to you at all (unless it retrogresses), you'll be ahead of anybody with a PD ahead of yours anyway. I don't know what the backlog is like in Rio or how long the wait usually is but hope you hear soon.
  14. September. The October bulletin dates kick in on 1st October.
  15. Yes, it's just a temporary green card essentially so you can do everything you'd do on the physical green card.
  16. Yes, as long as the company was keeping going in Germany and you met the criteria for the L visa then that would be a good option, it's perfectly feasible to transfer yourself as an executive to open the US branch. Others will know more about it but I think you have to have premises and staff, so it would depend on how big the company was. Once you have an immigrant visa (which the EB1C gives you) then you'd be a 'green card' holder so able to do whatever you like.
  17. We all entered together! Same with the SSN’s, 3 turned up but hers didn’t, it seems as though somehow her entering didn’t trigger the usual process. It’s fine as she’s used her I-551 for her job, bank account, driving licence, but if it doesn’t arrive soon I’ll contact USCIS. Congrats on yours being despatched, hopefully you’ll have them in the next couple of days.
  18. That is odd. Are you sure you're F2A and not F2B? What does your status say when you check it?
  19. 3 green cards received in today's mail. My daughter's seems to have been forgotten about (same thing happened with her SSN, the rest of us received them and she didn't, we waited several weeks and had to go to an office to sort it), as she's not had any tracking number etc. So will give it a week or so and see if it turns up, if not I'll contact them. They seem to have her missed off our application since landing somehow!
  20. Editing, as Boiler posted at the same time! As he said, PD is what matters. All you can do is make sure you have everything ready to go as soon as your wife is eligible to apply for citizenship, and hope processing times improve (for both citizenship and sponsoring family) between now and then.
  21. It's going to be tight time wise for F2A - as Boiler has said, F2B is more likely, so best to expect that and be pleasantly surprised if it's not.
  22. Not sure I'll think it's over until the cards actually arrive - Informed Delivery says there are 3 packets on the way from USCIS but there are 4 of us, so somebody doesn't have one yet! 😂
  23. How long ago in the past? Most consulates are getting through their backlogs and times are getting quicker. The current time for spouse visas in Ankara seems to be around 4-5 months, so hopefully it will be quicker than a year for @Aya2538 although I can't find any threads for EB applicants there.
