Hi folk,
My fiancé had her interview this morning and was granted k1 visa. It literally took us 572 days in total from NOA1 to finish line.
I hope everybody gets to hear the good news soon. Best wishes to all! -

Just to let you all know I've been having A LOT of issues scanning with CaseTracker since USCIS updated the case status page. Many SSL errors and time outs and unfortunately I can't deal with it when I am scanning 20 ranges of 500 cases. I've been trying everyday but some cases get this error and then my whole range is ruined.
I will keep trying but don't count on the spreadsheet being totally updated too soon.
I'm sorry about that and I'm specially sorry for all of those still waiting! Thanks for what you've done for this group. I'm always in awe with your dedication. It takes a lot of time to manually scans these groups. Kudos! 👏

Finally I got 'Ready' after 7 days from 'in transit'. I was able to book interview for next month. Good luck to everyone!

My petition package was delivered few hours ago (thanks to DHL hack). Do I need to wait for anything else before I can setup my interview? I'm waiting for 'Ready' status to setup my interview date.

Case is now ready at the our embassy, took about 4 days from shipping notification. Gotta wait for the P3
Congratulation! Can you now schedule an appointment or now need to wait more?

My case is also “In Transit” this morning. Do you know how long it will take for the embassy to receive the petition? Also, i think the embassy will send us the Welcome letter in parallel.
This is just an estimate but going through some timeline of others in facebook and VJ. It will probably take on average a week to be received by consulate. In some case it literally took 2-3 days. Finger Crossed 🤞

Finally 'In Transit'. I got a message form NVC that my case was being transfer to beneficiary's US embassy. Transfer is suppose to be on July 4th and 5th since 4th is a holiday. I think they mailed the case today on July 3rd.

I got the case number yesterday. My NOA2 is April 4th. They also changed my embassy as I requested in the inquiry. Now waiting for them to send the case to embassy.
Does anybody when to start filling DS160 form? Can I do it before they ship to the embassy? -
I'm sorry if this has been answered but I'm waiting for my NVC number. If you guys had to inquired to get your NVC assigned number or do they send you email once the data is entered into their database without any inquiries.

How did you get notice from NVC? Did you fill out the public inquiry form or send an email to nvcresearch?
I did with nvcresearch and they told me to contact them with public inquiry form if I have any more queries.

FINALLY, I got the acknowledgement that my case has been received by NVC. I think my case arrived last week just like other members here with similar dates. My noa2 was April 04

They didn't say specifically. A bit of assumption on my part here. USCIS said they sent out my case on 6/1. So most likely at some point this week.
which email address did you use to contact uscis?

I sent an email inquiring about our petition status on June 4 and received a reply this morning that the NVC has received it! Our NOA2 was April 4th.
Best of luck to everyone still waiting, it’ll happen soon! 💕
Congrats!!
My NOA2 is also April 4th and I just got same old yesterday saying! `We've not received your case from USCIS and so forth`! I'll do another inquiry just to be sure and post what comes out of it! -

I understood the original message.
During Covid, the California Service Center (CSC), where petitions are adjudicated would hold approved petitions until the NVC requested them. They may still be doing that. In other words, if the backup is further along the chain at the consulate, there is no rush to send approved petitions to NVC. If they're going to just sit there, they can sit at the CSC.
Just a thought, since it seems to be a pattern, rather than isolated.
This makes sense to me. Looking at limited timeline data at VJ, it seems like CSC is dispatching cases out of order. Some people's cases from early April have been received by NVC. Maybe these people whose cases were received didn't have backlog in their country and people who are waiting 70-80+ days have large enough backlog to stay put in CSC?
-
I sent an inquiry few days back (I'm almost a month from my noa2) and they told me to wait for 60 days from approval before contacting them again.

I'm so sorry you're also going through this. I take comfort in knowing there are 80+ untouched cases in my range even though it doesn't mean anything, but I see numbers go down there while I still remain untouched and it hurts. I lost hope for April (I know today is the last say, but still...) with approvals slowing down each day. I keep thinking there are still 600 cases pending! My time will come! But then January has 150 cases untouched and there's at least 3 people that chimed in here that are in that group too just waiting. Ugh! Stay strong, we'll get there, just will take us longer
I feel for you. Hopefully some positive news coming your way soon.
Grass is not greener on NVC stage as well. Timeline has drastically increased compared to few months back. Late February and Most of March approval are waiting NVC to received their case. -

I usually do scan in case tracker app. I think @Bh_sarah or @Vivek Patel might be able to help you on this.

I did a quick scan on 47000 and there were only 3 approval in our group today and both of us got approval on same day. That's crazy to think about.

Soo elated that we are finally approved!!! I'm from 47000 range and I can see other people from our group being approved as well. Good luck to everybody!

According to the chart, there was a storm there yesterday which looks like it affected the numbers. Praying everyone there is safe.
Numbers were just very low yesterday. This makes all the sense now

there's been slow mondays before, try not to judge off a single day. Haven't seen any issues that we know of though
I don't want to be alarmist but Jan and Feb had only about 23 approval combined according to the data published by fellow members in respected group yesterday. That's why I thought there was something going on.

APRIL 2023 K1 to NOA2 to NVC to EMBASSY
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
Posted
Thanks, Interview was very short maybe like 5 minutes long.
They ask:
1. How did you guys meet?
2. Any wedding plans?
3. Where does your fiancé work?
There are some more questions that I don't remember off the top of my head. Overall These are pretty standard questions.
