Reminder, it is against the site's TOS to discuss fraudulent activity in this forum. The OP stated that their partner is not currently in the US and is planning on visiting soon. This does not qualify for adjustment of status. Visajourney does not condone doing things fraudlently.

if you read the question it isn’t fraud because it would be a surprise. she is here visiting and has no intent on staying. i’m thinking of preposing. please be sure to read the the question before assuming fraudulent activity. i’m just curious how risky it is because of the assuming as you did. she came to visit with no intent to stay but i’m thinking of asking her to marry me.

Adjustment of status is painful in a sense that she would not be able to work for a year or so and would not be able to leave the US for year and a half or two.
If you went CR1 visa route, once she enters the US, she's a green card holder with all the rights. Though it's also not a quick process.
thank you. yes it still would be a longer wait for cr1. i guess my question is still how risky is it and how do you avoid the 90 day rule if her visa is only good for 90 days? thanks!

Hello,
I have been dating my girlfriend from méxico for almost 2 years now and she is costing on a tourist visa. We don’t want to do long distance anymore and i am thinking of preposing. how risky is doing adjustment of status. also is there still the 90 day rule ? what if her b2 is only good for 90 days. i just watched a video saying how risky this process is and k1 or cr1 is the best way to go. any advise would be appreciated.

Do you mean the timelines here on VisaJourney?
Yes, I went through the process, but 3,5 years ago and I am not from Mexico.
The best advice that I can give you is to just take it as it comes. Other people’s timelines are not a prediction for your case’s timeline, even for the same country, because everybody’s case is different. Don’t try to make plans because immigration has its own timelines.thank you.

Doesn't matter where you get married. If she's in Mexico now, those are the current estimates to get a spouse visa.
that’s so strange.. on the timeline forum i saw people completing their visa process in 1 year from méxico. i can’t believe how long it takes ….

Around 2.5+ years for a beneficiary interviewing in Mexico --
- I-130 processing at USCIS -- around 1 year
- NVC review -- currently around 1 month, from the time you submit all requirements
- Wait time for interview slot at the consulate in Juarez (CDJ), where your spouse will interview -- currently around 1.5 years after being Documentarily Qualified (DQ) at NVC
- From interview to visa issuance -- depends on the case
thank you - where are you getting these estimates?
appreciate your help

Have you and your spouse completed the NVC stage yet? If so, has your spouse completed the visa interview yet? No visa will be issued until after the interview.
I guess a better question what is the total estimate visa timeline from the beginning for couple filing an i130? thank you!

Can anybody please help me with wait times for your visa after I130 has been processed. This is for my spouse in mexico city and I am a us citizen. Thank you!
K1 US Entry Time

Hello,
I understand there is an additional wait for the greencard after your spouse arrives in the US. To that end, how long is it actually taking for K1 applicants to be able to enter the US to marry? 15.5 months? Also, it looks like they are trying to reduce backlogs by the end of this year to 6 months. Any positive word on that? I appreciate your answers but please read the full question before posting. Thank you!
