  1. It really just comes down to clerical information. They reset the numbers and keep track of what's done each fiscal year. For us playing the waiting game I think WAC23 September filers are going to be processed about the same time as WAC22 September filers.
  2. Absolutely, it's crazy. I can't even imagine the stacks of paper they have filed away, and just waiting to be reviewed. They must have some giant warehouses to keep it all.
  3. Surprisingly some late September filers got WAC23 numbers. I noticed that when I tried getting a baseline for October 22, being part of that group.
  4. They're definitely improving, even if the 6 month thing is off the table for now.
  5. So it's less of a goal and more of a mandate from Congress, that's good to know. Thank you for sharing.
  6. Oh ok, got it. I was getting excited that maybe we were already further ahead than I thought.
  7. My hope is that by October they're down to 12-13 months. I think that would be pretty good progress in cutting down the backlog.
  8. Agreed, I don't know the location where it was removed, but they really are a far cry from reaching that goal. At the current rate they will get there, just not by October.
  9. https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/news-releases/uscis-announces-new-actions-to-reduce-backlogs-expand-premium-processing-and-provide-relief-to-work This article?
  10. I like the explosive Mondays too, but on weeks like this one it leaves me with anxiety that the rest of the week is going to drop off and processing rates will drop off again. Great week though! We're on track for an amazing month too.
  11. They're getting close to 50% through January, so I'd say in the next couple of weeks we should see them slowly start getting some February cases closed.
  12. Best of luck with the process! We're in it with you, so any other questions feel free to ask. The trend has been improving, so applying now you may see a big difference in processing time from those of us already waiting.
  13. Right now the timelines for arrival in the US aren't much different, but the benefits upon arrival are far superior with a CR-1 visa. So, if getting married and then applying for a spousal visa is a possibility for you it's a really good idea to look into that route.
  14. I see you are from Brazil, as is my fiance. She doesn't have records of all her vaccines from childhood. As such she's been trying to take the vaccines as they're available in her area. Do you know what the process is to get that test done and any requirements for the medical examination to accept it?
  15. Yikes! Glad things here don't usually get too heated. I can see how it could easily get out of hand though. It's a stressful situation for everyone, and on top of that we have people from all over with different language skills, cultural backgrounds, etc. So the opportunity for misunderstanding and frustration increases. Gotta keep the eye on the prize.
  16. There have been anecdotal comments about cases being processed in batches (i.e. an agent gets a stack to work on at a time). If that's the case and one agent is quicker than others they may get to the later cases sooner and show approvals that don't seem to align with the current focus. It's definitely hard to see USCIS "move on" and be left behind. We're all in this together, and hopefully they can keep up the faster processing and maybe even get even faster. I'm trying to plan for the worst but hope for the best.
  17. Vaccine list can be found here. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/vaccinations.html COVID-19 Hepatitis A Hepatitis B Influenza Influenza type b (Hib) Measles Meningococcal Mumps Pneumococcal Pertussis Polio Rotavirus Rubella Tetanus and diphtheria toxoids Varicella
  18. Looks awesome! Do the case number ranges align with date ranges as well (i.e. are 44500 - 46999 also Jan 3 - 7)?
  19. Congrats on finally getting something! You've done a lot for the community, happy to see it.
  20. I've only seen @mw & rg k1 use this format, and they're in December. It is cool to see the breakdown by week, so maybe in the future others will pick it up as well.
  21. I totally get it, and it would be awesome if they blew through January really fast and kept on going!
  22. Pulling this from the December 2021 NOA1 thread to illustrate a bit better.
  23. They don't really go in order, so the date in January isn't too significant. Usually they start the next month when ~50% of cases have been gone through for the month they're currently working on.
