  1. There's a very good chance of it. April has crossed the 50% touched threshold.
  2. Only you and your partner know what's right for you. You've heard all of the people pushing it, and recently this thread talked about reasons people avoid it. I thought about doing this option with my fiancee. I would have gone to Brazil and found someone in Utah to officiate (the only requirement), so the wedding still would have had us together. I grew up in Utah, so that may have been easier for me than some. We still opted for the K-1. The I-129F processing times are definitely decreasing. It's not dramatic decreases of months at a time, but the backlog is going down so at least this portion of the process is getting better. Some in your group may see NOA2 in November if current trends hold.
  3. Maybe there are lots of April people and it's a busy Monday, which would also be awesome!
  4. Did you keep a copy of your documents? If so can you verify that you put the address down correctly? If you have the email with your case number, you have everything you need for the long wait to get the I-129F processed. I'd still verify the address though to make sure it's accurate.
  5. May update is done. I'll be visiting my fiancee the next two weekends, so that's why I did it earlier in the month. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tjozzPBSCE908J3Q6BSBEI5bgKsKy9eSRhPI0sriuXA/edit#gid=0 Quick view of the updates in the table below. Update Date Approved Denied/Rejected/Transferred RFEs Untouched/Other Withdrawals March 17 34 363 10 3500 7 April 15 44(+10) 401(+38) 10(0) 3428(-72) 31(+24) May 13 49(+5) 407(+6) 6(-4) 3409(-19) 45(+14)
  6. Agreed that it's not the time, it's just a pattern that may be appearing in how long it takes them to get to 50%. If this holds us October filers may see some movement in September, although I refuse to get my hopes set on that. I don't want to get excited and then get approved in December or January...
  7. I've been watching every day waiting to see my full VJ estimate go into November. Today it finally happened. From January 2024 to November 2023, it's so good to see the estimate improving!
  8. It's all speculation, but it seems that they are starting the next month every ~3 weeks. If that pattern holds May will start next week. They're getting pretty close to 50% on April, so unless they slow down a lot it doesn't seem unreasonable to me that this would happen.
  9. Mumps; Measles; Rubella; Polio; Tetanus and Diphtheria Toxoids; Pertussis; Haemophilus influenzae type B; Hepatitis B; COVID-19; and Any other vaccine-preventable diseases recommended by the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices (ACIP). https://www.uscis.gov/tools/designated-civil-surgeons/vaccination-requirements I've sent this list to my fiancee and she's been making sure she has them all in advance. Hopefully this helps.
  10. That assumption is that every case received before yours is cleared first. You could likely see an approval starting in about 2-3 weeks from now or as far out as October/November
  11. It kind of depends which part of the group you're in I think. Based on current processing rates, I think this is a conservative estimate for when each month will start processing. We're already starting to see April approvals in May, and so I think we'll be well ahead of July for May approvals. I'm keeping this timeframe as my frame of mind so that anything earlier is a pleasant surprise, while an approval in November would be right on track. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  12. I think there's been some indication that this may be the case, but it probably needs to be documented better to verify
  13. I'm still a good ways away from this phase so I had only casually looked. You're right, it's supposed to be NVC to embassy, but maybe it's more complicated than the calendar depending on the receiving embassy and that's why it's so different.
  14. I'm pretty sure it's two different things actually. The calendar is for USCIS to NVC. This is for NVC to embassy.
  15. You're probably right, and to echo what others have said it does seem like USCIS waits to send cases beyond what they probably could do. Maybe NVC is telling them not to send more or there's some reason for it. I feel like most of the information shared here is pre NOA2. NVC and beyond feels more like a black box, which isn't saying much because we're always left with questions about how USCIS does things and that's what we know best.
  16. I think what you're saying is that improvements in USCIS are resulting in higher backlogs at NVC, which is exactly what it looks like is happening. Let's just hope NVC doesn't slow down the same amount as USCIS speeds up otherwise it's a wash. Although I would still say the bottleneck is at USCIS as the wait remains far longer.
  17. I think you can report it and as the comments just request it be deleted because it has personal information on it.
  18. It's not recommended sharing your full case number here, just FYI. Since you have your case number you can rest easy knowing it's in the system. Try not to worry about the I-797C. It won't delay your case any that you haven't gotten it. I don't remember how long it took for me to receive mine, but it felt delayed too.
  19. Not exactly. It's the 50% median number for the fiscal year so far (so October through March) https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/historic-pt Edit: That is to say it is 6 months right now, but it will change until the end of the year.
  20. Didn't they recently revert back to less time to respond to an RFE (from the extended pandemic time to normal time)?
  21. I'm very curious to know what you both experience with this and the timing (as well as any others going through this in Brazil). My fiancee will be traveling from Ceará, so the less trips for her the better. Also, she has a daughter that will likely have to miss school to get it all done (depending on the month). I'll have to read up on the difference between Rio and São Paulo, that's a cool find. I think for my fiancee it would be easier to do it all in Rio.
  22. Does anyone know if this timeline is still valid for us with Brazilian SOs? @mw & rg k1 @Bh_sarah
  23. This part was gold, now I'm going to actually have to record the number of days just so I can use this!
  24. Unfortunately there are always a lot of "should have, could have, would have"s, but it'll all work out. Can't let the doubts and uncertainty ruin things. We've all got this!
