You can always fill it out together remotely. Windows comes with a remote assistant app. Just click on the start button and type "Quick Assist" without the quotations to launch the program.
I understand that is an option. My question is, are there any rules against me filling out form DS-160 and submitting it from the USA? Would it be grounds for denial?
-
Hello all! I hope everyone is getting closer to being with their significant others.
I just received instructions from the Embassy in Belgrade yesterday. Does anyone know if the DS-160 can be filled out by the petitioner on behalf of the beneficiary?
Thank you!

Hello friends! I recently received my Case Number but the email did not contain the Invoice ID Number. How can I go about obtaining this?
-
Has anyone with a NOA2 date of 12/14/22 received their case number for the NVC?
-
How long after my NOA2 should I inquire to the NVC to see if they received my case?
-
If you have provided everything that the USCIS needs, filled out the form without mistakes, and your relationship is legitimate, then you should not worry that your K1 Visa will be denied.
Did USCIS request a letter from her doctor? If not, then I wouldn’t worry about getting one.

Follow-up to my last post from earlier today, my case was actually approved!
Thank you to everyone on here that kept me sane and hopeful with your support. To everyone still waiting, take it a day at a time and reassure yourself with thoughts of a lifetime together with your other half. I hope that you all get the good news before the holidays! Special shoutout to @fenerbahce1907 for providing those updates. That helped out a lot!
Now the journey to the NVC begins!

Congratulations to the 8 filers that were approved in the 126500 group today!
We still have half the day left, so let’s hope for the best! My case file is 126762 and 126764 was approved today - I’m feeling lucky!
-
Honestly, it’s already painful being separated from the person I love but what makes it even harder is seeing people with NOA1 in mid-September get approved before us.
I have to go to war with my heart every single day and it’s not fair…

NOA1 August 20th here. Next month I will finally be able to submit a request for my case outside of processing times.
Does anyone know if this request actually does anything? Does USCIS process your case faster if it’s outside of processing times?
Thanks!

Sorry to say that based on my debug scan today, you are on the tail end of where USCIS seems to be processing.
I would suggest you be ready to submit an out of processing time request the first day you are permitted to
Best of luck on getting your NOA2Debug Scan comparing 11/25/22 (Was) to 11/30/22 (Now)

Can petitioners write a collective appeal? I also don't like that September is moving forward, unfair
I wish that would make a difference, but it likely wouldn’t. There are still cases from July pending for approval. All we can do is be patient, cross our fingers, and pray for the best.

60 days...sigh. Thank you! Is that when NVC estimates that they ship the case and if so will they mail a physical letter with the case number?
In the Dominican Republic the consulate doesn't send out instructions, but interviews can be scheduled on the website with the NVC number. We already started it and just need that to get to the last page.... but I wish they would send the number!!
It really varies, unfortunately. I know some people who had their case received by the NVC within 45 days and others that that have waited almost twice as long. Yes, you will receive a letter from the NVC either by e-mail or mail.
Best of luck!

Opening the plastic form to retrieve the passport is ok. As long as you didn’t open the sealed envelope, you should be fine.

Hi everyone!
For those that are approved already, what is the next step? I keep reading "Wait 2 weeks and call nvc for the case number". We tried calling NVC for the case number but they aren't answering. We tried emailing them too and got back a form email that answered nothing and that you can't reply to. We need the case number to schedule the medical and interview.
Do we need to just wait until they send out the paper copy - DO they send one out? Ours is about a month since approval now.
I send best wishes and sympathy to everyone still waiting for the approval. I'm sorry they haven't approved you yet and hope they will as soon as possible.
From my understanding, it can take up to 60 days (if not longer) to ship your approved I-129F form to the NVC. Once they receive it, you will get a case #, which will let you track your case through www.ceac.state.gov.
Additionally, I believe you may have mixed up the steps in the process. You will only be able to schedule your medical examination and interview once the NVC approves and sends your case to the consulate in the beneficiary’s home country. When the consulate receives your approved I-129F, they will send you instructions on scheduling an interview, the medical examination, and what documents you will need to put together for the interview.
I hope this was helpful!
August 2021 K1 Filers - I129F
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports

Thank you. When I filed my I-129F back in 08/2021, the K-1 visa was much quicker then. Had I known it would’ve dragged out this long, I would have went CR-1.
