Received 48 month extension as well. Filed in mid Sep 2022, receipt starts with EAC.

I went to the local SSA on Friday and the representative was not 100% she can do this. She asked her supervisor and enter the application for me anyway, saying it’s now dependent upon if DHS approves or not. The extension letter just proves that my PR status was extended, but in the system she mostly used the A-number for DHS verification. The weird thing is, on the SSN receipt, it still says “work only if you have authorization from the DHS”. But in my subsequent call after the visit, another representative said my immigration status was cleared and I should receive an unrestricted SSN. It is so confusing…not sure if it actually went through or not. ☹️☹️

Update: just chatted with Emma and confirmed that there is only one I-751 case on my wife’s file. The “new” receipt number belongs to someone else and was sent in error. Also, our lawyer confirms that he would never rely on the online system, which has many odd and incorrect updates. We should be more concerned if we received a wrong paper notification. I will update again if there are more updates.

Yep will do on Monday for sure. This had completely ruined my weekend. Good thing is, we have the previous receipt and biometrics reuse letter well locked in our safe…just in case anything happens

I am actually fine with it. Just hope we would not receive another i-797c with a different case number and receipt date…otherwise I literally don’t know how to proceed

Yes, we had the lawyer prepared our package and signed a G-1145 form to receive notifications. Maybe…hem put my wife’s number on someone else’s case.

Yes, but it’s Friday night already. I have emailed our lawyer of this matter… we will see what he says on Monday. We keep both receipt and Bio-reuse letter just in case USCIS wants to mess us. is there anything we should be worried about?

Nope just one application. We even received a notice of Biometric Reuse on 9/30, and the lawyer received as well. Is it possible that USCIS accidentally put the wrong phone number in the notification system? Like they should notify someone else but put my wife’s number. We are so scared…

Hi friends, Something weird happened today: We received another text message showing my wife’s 751 application was received with a different Receipt Number. Also, the case was received on 10/31/22 (a day after her conditional green card expiration). The application was actually delivered on 9/12. We and the lawyer both received the paper receipt on 9/19 by mail. Has that happened to anyone else? Why are they resending the receipt notice with a different number & receipt date?

Received paper confirmation of Biometric Reuse today 10/1/2022

Just got a status update: Biometrics got waived (reused the 485 AOS one, which was taken in Feb 2020). Haven't received the paper confirmation yet. 751 Delivered on 9/12/2022 Received the 24-month extension on 9/19/2022 Biometrics waived on 9/27/2022 Processing Center is EAC. Just searched the nearby 500 cases on the Case Tracker: EAC has applied Biometrics to most I-751 cases...looks like it should be an automatic reuse.
