Hi Susie
Thanks for your reply and advice
I got a tetnus/polio/diptheria booster this week for free. My GP will give me MMR for free too, so I may call the medical place and ask if I need it based on my history.
Cheers

Husband called NVC yesterday, our AoS has been reviewed and accepted with no RFE (we were worried as he had no tax return for 2005 and 2006).
The guy said our case should be done reviewing within 1-2 weeks
-
From my understanding its good to submitt tax returns for the previous 2 years (2005 and 2006) even though it will be zero as they require tax returns of past 3 years.
3 years is not required just reccommended. We only submitted 2007 return as my husband was not earning the previous two years. Ours was accepted with no problems.

good to read people's upates and how we met stories
no update on our case, AVR is over a week out of date now
just wondering, has anyone else gambled and booked their POE flight yet?
-
Well said MsZ!
Im looking forward to life in the US but I know it'll be a big adjustment and I cant help but be apprehensive about it, especially finding a new career. I might send your words to my husband as a reminder that, whilst his life will change too, its so much more for those of us making the journey over

I booked my POE flight today - Jan 09
its transferable if the date slips tho

waiting, praying, hoping.....
I understand that... I am in the same boat...

What does it say?
It says "the IV fee bill letter was generated on Sept 16 and will be sent in the next few weeks...." blah blah
We paid online on 16th, payment cleared on 17th so we sent the DS-230. I called an operator and they seemed to think all was fine so Im not too worried other than I guess the AVR isnt going to be reliable to find out when our case completes, Ill just have to bother the operators every day lol

Hi all
Hope you can help. I have no vaccination record (wasnt such a thing when i grew up...) and the healthcare trust has "lost" my childhood records. Ive written to my GP asking for a letter stating what evidence of immunisation they have on their records but havent heard back. Anyone else experienced this problem?
As I can get most injections for free on NHS Id like to get them done before the medical rather than pay through the nose!
Cheers
Lou

Sorry to hear that KIMF, hope you can get the money back.
My AVR still hasn't updated since last Wednesday

We sent proof of bonafides, including emails, chat records, 2 sworn affadavits and photos of wedding and other trips together.
You dont need to send original marriage certificate for I-130 process, just a photocopy. You will need to send the original to NVC at a later stage so hang on to it.
Good luck

Maybe its true for DCF, but I honestly believe CIS arent competent enough to organise a drinking party in a brewery let alone deal with applications in any organised manner such as prioritising by country. We are UK and our CIS approval took 8 months. I think it's probably quite random.

Great to hear Ilya R.
Good luck CHD, hope it goes smoothly for you.
Our AVR is still way out of date but operator Kelly confirmed they have all our docs and they were entered onto the system on Friday (19th). As usual the line was expect a 3 to 4 week review period *fingers crossed for sooner*

Congrats jawswinger!
Thanks for updating the table Justin.
Nothing to update on our case, waiting for AVR to change to confirm all documents have been rec'd
-
Nothing to report on our case, just thought you all might have a giggle from the pic in our sig
Yes CIS we're talking about YOU
-
hope your case completes soon trudger
-
At last!! Congrats!
-
Our AVR isnt updating yet, still says theyve just generated the IV bill letter. Cmon NVC you have the IV bill payment and the DS230 already, get reviewing and complete our case already
Congrats Ilya

OK I called again and apparently this second lady said she will need to refer our case to a supervisor. She can see the payment has been taken from us but it has not yet been applied to our case
I knew things were too good to be true lol. Im worried as we've already sent off our DS-230... urggh
-
We paid our IV bill two days ago online and the status changed to "in process". The next day (yesterday) it showed as "paid" so we sent the DS230 package. I went back to the website today out of curiousity and the status has reverted to "not paid"?? The money has been taken from our account and the operator said the $400 was received so Im not too worried (yet lol) but wondered if anyone else has heard of this happening? Seems very strange!

We had our notarized. It is much easier in the US as bank officials can act as notaries. We got 2 of my husband's friend to write letters and he got his bank to notarize them for free. Much cheaper than getting a UK notary/solicitor.
Good luck on your journey through this process
