Never been in this thread before, just wanted to say hi to fellow brits and their spouses/families.

Today is exactly 4 months since we began the CR1 journey. I was hoping (foolishly I know) we'd get NOA2... I must have OCD about neat timelines or something

I agree, this process can be so frustrating and soul-destroying.

We sent our I-130 in mid Dec but we've been told not to expect approval before June.

We havent written to our congress man yet but we were planning to if it goes past the 6 month period. Given the generic response you and most others get Im doubting it will help our case either tho....

I am a LONG way off from my medical, but Im worried as I do have a few medical conditions. Do we get a copy of the medical questionnaire in advance (packet 3?) or is it just presented on the day? I want to make sure I have the correct medical evidence from my GP.

Apologies for my ignorance, I just want to make sure I have everything I need in place.

Our NOA issue date was actually 31 Jan 08. We didnt recieve it until 11 Feb 08. Pls can someone update the list? Sorry for that

We got our NOA1 the same day as you, but we are VSC so we are hoping (all fingers and toes crossed!) for a decision in May/June.

I notice you are at a similar point to us - NOA 1. Are you waiting until you get NOA2 or applying for certificate the now? Given the faster turnaround the police are now offering I may wait for a little while.

The first one is the Box designated for, among other states, residents of Ohio, and the second Box is for New Jersey so I assume you mailed it to that second one, right?

PO Box 804825 is the one that we tried to send it to last week that apparently doesn't exist. Has anyone, ANYONE here managed to get their form successfully mailed to that Box number yet?

PS- Stilll haven't gotten precious package returned to us yet by post. Prayin' to the Lo' he gets it tomorrow.

Yes we sent to the second one. Luckily it appeared to work.

Sorry to hear about your problems with the current Chicago lockbox address.

We sent our I-130 yesterday via USPS Express Mail. The USPS tracker says it was delivered this morning.

I'd reccommend that service - it has next day delivery and automatically insured to $100.
