Ouch thats a bummer. But I guess will have to live with it

Ok,
I am basically going crazy with the joint sponsorship thing, the guy who earlier was ready to be my joint sponsor is going through his drinking spree right now and not coming to work and all those things which had to happen right when we got our approval notification.
Anyways, we are trying real hard to find someone else as joint sponsor, now my question is, how long am I “responsibility” of my sponsor/joint sponsor, I think its 1 year, but my husband says its 3, can someone tell me what exactly is the time frame?

Congratulations

You can't really have him on your bank account, but you can try asking your land lord if you can have your husband with your housing lease, you can also have your husband with your insurance policies. Other bonafide proofs can be things like western union money transfering reciepts, phone bills, postal letters along with the stamped envelop, if you are sending him packages or him sending you any gift packages, emails, chat transcripts.
Since you are from Pakistan, I am not sure how banking works in your country, but you can ask your husband to go to his local bank and ask them if he can have you jointly in his bank account. At least it worked for me through Axis bank in India, all I had to do was get my husband's signature on their bank forms.

Good good luck lotto, she will clear up her visa interview inshallah.
Seriously loads of people are grateful to you lotto for all your help
Our AOS bill has been generated today according to NVC voice message, but we are going through some major problem finding a joint sponsor, hopefully we will find one by this week.

Chintan,
Its the same for me, they have submitted my passport and haven't said a date, but hopefully I will get by this week, on 20th June a CID officer came to my house and basically asked my whole life history, he said he was for PCC from SP, not from passport office though.

We provided a few things for bonafide relationship other than marriage certificate and the basic forms
--a few postal letters to each other
--gmail tax transcripts showing we chat every day (mind you, not the actual chats, but the dates only)
--phone bills
--his accidental insurance papers, where I am the beneficiary
--my life insurance paper, where he is the beneficiary
--my voter id card & also my state id card, where my husband's name has been mentioned
--a few emails
--10 photographs

Congratulations

I really pray for your husband to clear up from AP soon, please hang in there and things will sort out soon

India doesn't allow dual citizenship, but PIO and OCI(overseas Indian citizenship) are replacement for dual citizenship.
With OCI you can travel in and out of India anytime you wish for and you can also work here, other than government jobs or things like you can't run for any political position, but you can buy land and other sorts of things.
But basically its you who needs to decide do you want to give up your Indian citizenship or not, you only hand over your Indian passport after you have been granted citizenship of any other country, in your case it would be of USA.
Check this site for further knowledge--> http://www.***removed***/nri/dual.html

Green card is generated after you are done with your interview successfully and you land in USA.
Once you are in US with your CR-1 visa, USCIS will send you your green card at the given DS-230 address within a month's time.

I am a bit confused, according to nvc voice message, our case has been updated into the system on 13th of june, so shouldn't our AOS be generated by now? If AOS has been generated, it should be the message on NVC voice message right? Or you get the IIN and then get things done through this site--> https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx

WOW, congratulations

Ok, can you guys tell me if one does get an RFE at NVC stage, how many days does NVC gives out to answer that RFE notice?
I am damn scared that we will get an RFE for the marriage certificate, so just want to be prepared for it.
-
I really am a bit confused.
Were to submit those proof of relationship? At VFS or Consulate?
And say if I submit part of photos, and letters and emails and all at VFS, shall I carry some more for the consulate.
-
Guys going through Mumbai,
Does consulate allows USC spouse to enter with the Indian spouse? My husband will be coming down for the interview and I would want him to come with me. Do I need to get a prior permission from Mumbai consulate or how it works?
-
Try calling at different time, and keep calling, of what I have noticed you are much luckier at night hours (ETD) compared to calling at morning hours to get hold of your IIN.
Do call a few times and see how it goes, it will be much better to pay online rather than going the slower route.

Can't your passport or state identity card be enough as address proof?
Check your passport, your residential address is stated there.
-
Here is the sample, do change it accordingly.
To whomsover it may concern

Note, that the last para is for the notary officer. This is the usual basic, now I don't know if you both are of the same faith or not, it shouldn't matter if you are get married as Civil law, but if you are first doing customary marriage or getting married through Arya samaj, both of you need to be of same religion.
Hope it helps.
