Respecced on wednesday... I got back on my DK for a Naxx run. We cleared all but the construct quarter, and when we tried again on thursday, we couldnt get Thaddius down. We did before but there was too many people dicking around or tired and we were doing too many mistakes....oh well

At least I'm getting back to WoW slowly...

Sounds like us! It was my first time ever in Naxx and we were stuck at Thaddius too. The first couple of deaths I don't think I fully understood when to change sides. They just said when polarity changes run to the other side. Well...every time I did that, I ran into an invisible wall of death. Then I figured maybe you ONLY change IF your polarity changes, am I right? Well I did tht and again died. I still don't think I"m doing it right (obviously if i keep dying right).

How would you guys explain it?? I tried to watch YouTube videos on it and they don't run for me.

I'm jealous that Cubans get preferential treatment because of their expected long wait at the embassy. I think the embassy we're going through (Montreal) has been speeding up the past couple months, but I'm still jealous.

I don't buy that they give Cubans preferential treatment and speed up their 129f's because the wait is so long for an interview at the embassy. Since when does the government give a ####### about how long they make any of us wait?? From anywhere? If that were true then Montreal filers would also get bumped to the front of the pile and we all (who've been through there) know that's not the case. The wait has been notoriously long for Montreal for a long time.

Anyway, I thought the reason Cuba gets through quicker is some special agreement between the US and Cuba. I know I read that somewhere, I just know it.

Exactly. You might want to consider marrying in July (asap) so you can file AoS and AP papers right away. Probably her only chance of getting the AP papers in time to travel in October. It's still pushing it though.

The other option would be waiting to come to the US until after the baby. She has 6 months to travel to the US once she receives the k-1 visa which you know is for one entry only. So if it's that important, waiting 3 more months might be worthwhile. Then you could be more leisurely about planning your wedding.

If anyone is interested I figured out a way to beat the valients at the argent tournament. As soon as they accept the challenge they walk away from you...I use the shield break thing then immediately follow them so they don't have a chance to charge. Then keep on them with melee and when they're gonna walk away from you again, shield break as you stay on their butt to continue melee. It takes a while, but if you can get in a shield break or two but not allow them enough distance to charge it works.

I don't even try to charge them myself, melee works just fine.

Anybody know any good tips on how to get my pally up to par with dps (my secondary spec). I bought all the dps gear I could from the exalted/revered rep that I have already and gemmed what I can with attack, crit and some agility (i'm not sure what a pally dps is supposed to focus on, but I read attack was #1 idk). I have 3 major glyphs and have yet to check my warlock for what minors she can make (suggestions?). So after all that I went to the dummies with recount up to see what my dps is, and it's only like 1200ish. I thought pallies were supposed to kick butt with dps. I use all the attack spells available to me. What else? Is your dps higher in instances when you're attacking & hitting 3 things at once (with those spells that hit more than 1)?? Do I just need practice? I want to get into more dungeons as dps. It's fun to see what other tanks do too when i'm incognito lol.

I didn't think argent tournament was an event. I thought it was a new daily line with rep-like rewards. Hmm. idk

Another question...I'm working on Valient Seals for the argent tournament. Are we only able to duel for them once a day? I defeated each city's defender (or w/e they are) and my timers have run down. I went back and can't challenge them to a duel. It's going to take me forever to get anything out there if I can only duel them once a day. I'm sure there's more levels to this too.

We're on Feathermoon (west coast server). It seems pretty nice...lots of old timers.

How does a realm switch work? Can you only move one character per fee? Hubby and I both have mains plus warlocks that are about 50. Mine needs to get to 60 so she can lvl up her enchanting & inscription more (it's maxed for right now lol). That would be 4 fees between both of us if we ever switched, right?

Which leads me to wondering about all the guild recruitment posts. Anyone who wants into one of those guilds would have to pay for a character move? Wow sure has it figured out how to make lotza$$$. Seems kinda unfair and ridiculous to make you pay that fee on top of the monthly fee paid per family member. Luckily my ex pays for the kids' subscriptions.

Yep yep I see where i misunderstood lol. I have read tons on elitistjerks and tankspot, they are awesome resources for tanking. That's why I'm pretty sure I've geared and spec'd myself the best I can so far. I've followed their advice and opinions of others more experienced than myself in the game. I probably already ruined my reputation as a tank though. I did some downright boneheaded things the first few weeks of tanking. People sure do like to share their opinions on what you should be doing then lolol. I take it all in and have improved greatly from it.

On the DK subject...I made one. Got to lvl 59, finally through that starter area and I think I'm done with the DK. I just can't get into it. Maybe it's cuz I still have so much to learn about being a pally tank, idk.

Also just started a gnome mage. I just HAD to have a gnome (even though we play Horde). Wow, mages are powerful to start off!! Not sure how it is later on, but just wow! Compared to my pally I couldn't believe it. I think I leveled during the first quest with the mage lol.

I'm a little confused...it's My issue if they are frost? What can I do about it? And I wasn't sure what you meant by if I can't watch omen/ktm I should be booted from the instance. Did you mean me or the DK that was in our group?

What you say about DK's and if he was using deathgrip he was pulling lots of aggro makes sense and could be part of what the problem was. I am a pally and I was the tank and it was stated before we started that I was the tank, not him. So it's weird that i did more dps and that I was having a hard time keeping the aggro. I haven't had a hard time keeping aggro lately with other groups so it had to be something weird in this group. My issue with the green axe was that the DK had the green axe and was supposed to be DPS. You can't DPS enough with a green axe (and he wasn't, i confirmed that) in a heroic instance. It may be fine for a regular, but not heroic. It was also my clue that this guy was the problem and not me...he wasn't quite geared as a dps and not quite as a tank either. Possibly he dual spec'd and is confused.

Anyway, it's hard to fully explain I guess. I wish I could remember the guy's name so I could have you compare his and my gear to see if that was part of the problem. Gear Does matter doesn't it? Isn't that why I'm supposed to be gearing up with strength...to increase my threat/aggro? Stamina so I don't die so fast, Defense so I don't die so fast etc... That's what I read anyway.

It's unreal how much there is to learn in this game. I absolutely love love love it!! I have to say that those of you who started when WoW came out have a huge advantage over those (me) who started after WoTLK came out. This is my first character and I can see how advantageous it will be to roll other characters to see how they function.

It was a DK, spec'd as frost (if I remember correctly), his gear was all str/stam/def with crit and hit added. I couldn't figure out how to find the threat generated...I recently downloaded "recount". Haven't totally figured it out yet. I did see, however, that I was doing more dps than him. It was really strange.

Could be old news since I don't usually buy it, but I found applesauce with "NO HFCS" on the label. Going to try it for lunch today.

I am sick of eggs! It feels like a waste of time to me because I know I won't complete all of the achievements so why bother? There's not enough time in the day, nor days of the week lolol!

We had a terrible experience in H VH 2 nights ago. I tanked it, hubby dps'd and it was a PUG. I was having difficulty keeping aggro and couldn't figure out why. I have all tank appropriate gear (strength, stam, def. and even an enchant or something that increases threat). I haven't had that issue in a while (since getting better gear . One of the portals glitched so things kept coming out of it. Then on the last boss (we got the big dragon lady) she was flipping around constantly..I kept taunting, hitting, consecrating, doing everything possible and just couldn't keep her on me. Afterwards we looked up one of the other dps guys and found out he's geared as a tank, but was dps'ing, and with a GREEN axe!! In a heroic! I think that had to be the issue...he was pulling aggro due to his gear (?). What do you think? Remember I'm a noob, just trying to understand wth and if it could have been me, I want to know so I can fix the problem.

True, I was only 10 years old---do you think that is a good enough excuse? The suckiosity of New Kids on the Block and the Spice Girls actually kind of pails in comparison.

Omg, I totally bought that DiscoDuck record too!! I had to order it through the mail and the 6 weeks it took to arrive were the longest of my life. I was checking the mailbox every day after school until it finally came!! I believe I was in 4th or 5th grade at the time.

We just started playing a couple months ago and reached 80 pretty quickly via RAF triple xp bonus so there's probably alot of content that we've

skipped over along the way. I honestly don't know what our rush was and I'd like, to lvl up either a priest or mage and take my time enjoying the

sites along the way. Hubby doesn't see the point though so I probably won't for a while.

I've been learning so much about tanking and feel that I do a fairly good job keeping aggro off everyone and am always open to people's suggestions. I'm just curious what do more experienced players expect out of the tank?? I feel like everyone expects me to keep aggro on EVERYTHING, keep the dps safe, keep the healer safe (i know this is important lol), know what to pull all the time, work around pets & minions that run ahead of me and aggro something too far away (wth am I supposed to do about that??...I ask for a couple seconds to build hate and nobody listens), rez ppl since I'm a pally, I've healed others during battle when the healer is overwhelmed, I taunt anything that heads toward anyone else...what am I not doing? My def is at 540 (so supposedly i'm uncrittable for most bosses) and I use potions to increase it even more during instances. I'm working on my dailies to get better gear. I have read several pally tank guides, have glyphed and specced myself out according to the expert's suggestions, have gemmed the best I can so far, I know my spells & what generates threat and use I them. Yet every instance I do, someone has to give me unsolicited advice or tell me how to tank with my pally. I know I'm a noob, but I'm an educated noob lolol!! I don't know the instances, but I DO know my character. I'm soliciting your adivce...is this normal? Do tanks generally get the most criticism? It's getting to the point that I'm scared to do instances with anyone anymore. Our guild is awesome, but small and the main people aren't on much right now due to life issues. I have no choice but to pug with smartasses!

I'm so freaking addicted to this game right now it isn't even funny.

We are still waiting too. Transferred to CSC in December, no updates since. On the good side, hubby starts his new job April 27th!! We're just trying to be patient on the green card. At least we're together now (our k-1 wait was very long...almost a year of separation) so it's hard to be frustrated at this point. It hasn't even been 6 months yet since we sent in the AoS papers. I doubt calling or putting in service requests would help us.

Today when i went on the uscis site to check on our AOS status it says it can't verify my IP address at this time. Is anybody else getting that message? I haven't changed anything on my computer so I don't know why i'd be getting that message.

Last week we got an email saying his EAD had been approved on January 26th and he would get his card in 30 days... We got an email from Cris again today saying his EAD was approved on 2/2 and he would get it in 30 days... What's up with THAT??? Is he going to get 2 cards??? So weird... hope the FIRST one is the right one...

Yes, and I've seen many people post about this. We got 2 CRIS emails exactly a week apart and each one said the EAD was approved on the day of the email. It's weird, but I'm thiinking the 1st email is when they approve it, the 2nd is when your case is touched again when they actually print & send the card. It just says the same thing because they don't change it.

Our i-485 was touched yesterday & says the same thing as before...your case was transferred & is now pending at the uscis office it was transferred to. Does that mean they might be working on it? Or did everybody else receive a touch on the i485 when the EAD & AP's were approved & that's just part of the standard routine?

We were approved yesterday too!! Congrats to all of us!! Those still waiting, you know it's coming soon !!
