    He called them. +1 800-375-5283
He told me that there’s a code you have to say in order to get a real person on the phone, otherwise, you’ll just be told to consult online or something.
    The code is “infopass”
He obviously didn’t know this trick either, but when he physically visited the USCIS office, they told him this.
Even with this code, he was put on hold for about an hour.
    I hope this helps!

I was so down last 2 weeks and it really affected my work.  I even woke dragging my feet because I did not want to  get out of the bed.
I'm glad you can visit your fiancé often.  I can't.  I needed more than a week to make that trip and ticket worth it.  I wanted to be there for his interview, just an excuse to visit him.  But I am saving my PTO to have a very long vacation off when he comes.

But hey, don't worry.  We will get our approval this week. 😄

I'm part of the 400+ that are untouched.  Still patiently waiting and slowly losing it.

Every week, my mantra is "We are going to be approved this week."  While my fiancé would alway say,  "be positive."  It works at the first part of the week, then hope drains out towards the end of the week.  It's a cycle.

I've distanced myself from checking VJ and Facebook April group often because I get frustrated when I see other members who vent their frustrations, and although I am happy for the ones who are approved and I even saw one that actually arrived in the US already, I also get frustrated that we are still waiting for the approval.

I just emailed my congressman, and I got the typical response.  I am unable to actually ask for help because I am still in the processing time.  What a joke.

Tomorrow, our case will be 420 days, we have no choice but to wait.  We have no power over it.  Not even the our good congressmen and senators in the office.  I am just praying miracle, I guess.

It happened to me when I was trying to fill out the i-134 form. I entered all the information, checked all the necessary boxes and saved the document in PDF. Then, when I printed out the file it was only partially filled and some of the boxes were left unchecked. It looked like it was random, some of the pages were fine and some were not. So the problem only happens when you print the file.

Has anyone seen any case where k1 filers sued USCIS?
I think it’s absolutely ridiculous that they have our lives on hold for over a year and yet, they can’t even give us any decent explanation nor are they held accountable for it.
I feel that we should be compensated in some way, whether it’s financial (for plane tickets?) or a guarantee to process our green card or work authorization faster or something.
I saw this post from an immigration attorney talking about suing USCIS (for naturalization) and being successful.
     https://hackinglawpractice.com/blog/when-uscis-tells-you-to-sue-them-you-sue-them/
Should this apply to k1 filers patiently waiting for this process to be over?

Yes, I agree as well. They should finish in order. I am May as well and would love to see them finish  earlier months first. For the anxiety we are having to deal with, the least they can do for us is to give some predictability/certainty. I know they don’t owe us anything, but they created a process and we are all following.

    WEEKLY CHART UPDATE 05/21:

    Approval changes this week: +199
    RFE changes this week: +49
TOTAL NEW CHANGES (approval or RFE) : 248
~1350 Other Action aka "waiting and others"
1900+ Who have heard back (either approval or RFE)

Inquiry date is currently April 7th, 2021. We did have a handful done in the last few ranges in the chart with RFEs on Saturday, so hopefully that means (like it has in past weeks) that focus is on those of us remaining (more than 1350). Hopefully they will get it together and very few of us will need to put in inquiries (but it isn't looking super promising). Last full week of May this week. Next week is a holiday on Monday.

They stated in the backlog briefing this week that they thought the posted 10.5 months was too long, so idk what they think of all of us that are 13 months+ at this point. March 2021 still has 130 who haven't heard anything and 188 who have turned in their RFE and are still waiting as well.

APPROVED TODAY!!!!! NOA1 April 21, NOA2 May 19, got the notification via casetracker app close to 9am. 77000 group, no RFE. It took me over 390 days (I think 393 to be exact) but I'm thankful it didn't take me 400+ days like some of us. Though I am overjoyed for myself I know how hard it is to read of another approval and it not be yours, but have faith, it will come!!!!!!! Thank you Jesus!!!!!!!!! I am soooooo happy right now! Updating my timeline now.

A big shoutout to this group, without it I wouldn't even be able to stay sane this whole time!!! Thank you to the users who take the time every single day to write out the daily updates!!!!!!!!

If you get lucky yes. I personally always prepare for the worst case, because its a possibility. Being lucky would be 5-8, but being unlucky, or even normal, would be 11-14.

3/5 of the service centers takes over 11.5 months
    4/5 takes over 8
    1/5 Takes less than 8

If they allocated cases perfectly, itd be a 1/5 chance of getting Nebraska with 5 months, but it isnt perfect and I have absolutely no idea what precengages would be realistic

So it becomes a very very subjective question of, do you feel the trade off is worth the very possible chance of waiting another 11+ months for noa2, in exchange for being unable to work for about 8?

I just get concerned when people bank off getting lucky. We all watched the k1 go to suddenly 13 months out of nowhere and that was with the processing time at the time we all applied being far less. It would be really upsetting if many people swapped banking on 5 and later regretted it because they processed at 11-14 instead.

Yeah that the position that my fiance and I are in. We decided that if we don't hear back anything by the time I visit in July, we are just going to just go ahead and get married. Luckily we are both ethnically from the same country, so its a simple process for us. But I found out that if I wasn't duo citizen I would have to get prior approval which could  take one -two month to hear back (so always check the country rules if you decide to go that route.) I looked at the processing time, and it seems that they are processing marriage visas at faster rate then K1 visas, so like @MissLadyRae anywhere from 5-12 months. Ive also seen a lot of approvals less then 5 months depending if you got lucky and was processed in the Nebraska Center.

After going through everything we really don't want to wait another year for him to be able to work, travel, and other things. And have to deal with the stress of that.

    I feel you:(
Doesn’t marriage visa also take about 12 months now?
We have waited for over a year now and to reapply for a different visa to wait even longer is a difficult decision:(
When I found out how long it’s taking for people to get their employment authorization, I really thought about switching to marriage visa too, but we just don’t want to put our lives on hold any longer than we already have:(
I’m sorry about your case not being touched.. I know how disappointing to see that everyday..
My hope is that we can probably receive NOA2 maybe by the end of June.
We have been too generous about time with USCIS but let’s keep our hopes up!
