The checks uscis does are the same for everybody. Their checks do not involve a team searching hours or days on end into your history.

They type your information into the fbi database. Either something comes up or nothing does.

I'm not wishing things, I'm observing what's happening to us and hundreds of others. Watching applications that applied months after yours getting approved is unusual punishment. We paid our fee, we waited for our turn, and now we are told to just keep waiting, don't you dare complain, and you don't have the right to speak to us.

I don't think that's true. USCIS does the same background check for everybody, one background check isn't harder than another. They check the FBI criminal database just like everybody else.

If you look at the people still waiting, nobody really has any special circumstances. And most are approved.

As for leaving people behind, that's exactly what they are doing to improve their statistics. They leave a large chunk and lower priority to a trickle of what it was (5 to 20 cases a day), and move onto the next month.

It comes down to being unlucky, unfair, incompetent and heartless. There are so many people in 2021 who are still waiting while people almost a year after them are being approved.

Same. To be fair, I believe April 2022 cases are still the biggest chunk of cases being processed, but focus is slowly moving to May cases.

I think the RFEs can be a result of people doing these petitions haphazardly on their own.  I have read on several different forums that people are getting RFEs for failure to submit intent to marry declaration or showing proof of meeting within 2 years.  I think if more people are careful in completing their paperwork the RFEs would decrease and the process will move much quicker.  Keep in mind, their are thousands of people who just download the forms and complete it on their own, they don't seek advice from an attorney or they are not on any forums, and they end up missing something.

I agree with this. I think it's totally fine to be cautious or believe it'll be slower/whatever but don't need to constantly quote people and tell em to stop having hope. People can believe what they want. No need to 'well actually' everyone all the time

My estimate is not reliable yes because it is completely my own biased opinion...I can't say how many cases they'll be doing in 2 months but the 800 number for last week, is reliable. It's in the past. My prediction of the future is an educated guess at best. I just always make sure to state that so people don't think I have some insider knowledge and believe it' 100% facts

You're cherry picking statements and mixing them together.
I will 100% be buying celebratory drinks or a meal or something

it's not based off people self reporting as not everyone is in a forum to share news and as you say, it's not reliable. I meant manual as there's some way to see daily approvals, rejections and rfe's, I don't do this and haven't looked into it to I don't know the *exact* process but it's pulled from the USCIS site so it's reliable. It's just not *exact*. So it's usually off by like a few 10's from what I've seen
You're correct, I think some people will do it manually and count from where ever you pull the data but some people have made computer scripts that automate this process.

Someone who knows can correct me, but I don't think the data is extrapolated. It's more that they run some sort of script and collect updates on the case numbers, or something of the sort. I'm not a computer person lol

Update from fellow Nov 2021 filer and data dude:

No good news to report. Contrary to my hopes after several months of increasing numbers of I129F cases processed, in July things actually regressed a bit. USCIS upped their timeframe to 13.5 months and fewer cases were processed in July than in June.  The data available here on VJ show that the delay has still not leveled off. It is currently at about 13 months and three weeks and still increasing.

At this rate we will be lucky to have a New Year celebration. Maybe August will bring better news and we won't see an increase to 14 months in the posted time.

To my knowledge no. There's some gap till new ones are filed. And we were directly impacted recently because portion of those were transferred to California service centre in order to process them all before the deadline.

I believe this too. There will be ups and downs throughout the month but from what I’ve been seeing there seems to be a trend in the right direction. I like the way you think!

Yea that would be really insane. Unfortunately, and I hate to say this but I think that March 2021 - April 2021 will be the ones that end up waiting the longest. I think it will only improve if slightly from here on out. USCIS has set goals and timeframes for FY 2023. In order to achieve this they cannot go into September with a 17+ month wait and magically reverse this within a year. The process has already started since their announcement. Hiring and training takes time. I mean what’s the point of even setting goals if by 2022 filers are going to see 24+ month waits? At some point it has to be fixed, probably sooner than later.

Is there a major chance they miss this and simply push back the goals, yes. But by the agency simply acknowledging they are aware of this backlog I think is a huge deal. It is nothing to just goff at. When has any government agency ever acknowledged their shortcomings? At least they are aware and trying to do something about it. Imagine all this without any acknowledgement from the agency. Then I could easily expect a 17+ wait in September.

anyways just trying to stay positive!

Omg, the vibe of this group has changed. I remember telling my fiancé that the past few weeks the May K1 filers group has gotten so pessimistic (as he follows March), that I bet some of the April filers joined our group and are spewing their negativity here. And low and behold I WAS RIGHT!! 😂 I have been watching this group for about 12 months checking it daily for the graphs, charts, numbers and answers to a process I’m genuinely confused and new to. After the date for uscis got pushed back the first time I started looking at other filing groups and April filers were sooooooo negative 🤮  I never created an account because I had nothing to say, but after realizing I was right I made an account just to say GO BACK to April!! We don’t need or want your negativity, I mean we haven’t been more closer to approval than we are now and everyday that goes by we get closer. The negativity makes it hard to want to visit this forum.
