  1. We have just arrived here. I was watching Buffy with German synchronisation previous to that. And my dad, every Monday: “ Wait, didn’t we watch that movie last week? “ Every Monday.
  2. Do not beat yourself over this. You did what every honorable and loyal spouse did, and fought tooth and nail for this marriage and him coming over. Your manners when replying to others show what a wonderful person you are. Do not let this change you. As for him, something like this never goes unpunished, even if you personally do not want it on him, since you are too good for that. And too good for him, quite frankly. I wish you the best of luck and you’ll find it. No fear.
  3. Have you been dq’d by the nvc? Or was everything expedited and forwarded to the embassy? Make sure to have co-sponsor paperwork for the interview, and try uploading it to ceac, since embassy might request you to do so. Co-sponsor goes in the petitioner’s area.
  4. Follow pushbrk’s advice. When in doubt, always listen to pushbrk.
  5. You are petitioning for your wife to be granted to immigrate to the US. She is the beneficiary, and as it says in the instructions: passport photos of your non US spouse. The beneficiary. Subject of the petition.
  6. Go for the interview, they will wait for medical results and conclude. Best of luck. Reach out to the clinic also and see if they have a cancelation list, in case something earlier comes up. Easier then rescheduling the interview.
  7. Right away. Go through NVC expedite email, include your ioe reciept and attach copy of the expedite approval. They will aknowledge, the case number will created, and they will inquire with embassy. Once they get green light from the embassy, they will forward the case directly there, and you can start uploading everything through ceac still, and send hard copies to beneficiary. At that point everything will be done through embassy. Best of luck.
  8. Took us almost 12 months. As recently as of May this year.
  9. The decision on your I-130 should be made in next few months, why even bother with K3 at this point?
  10. You have to understand that tourist visa to the US is very hard to get. Especially in circumstances where there are no strong ties back home, as in your situation, and you are not the only one and you were not taken out of line and treated that way. Others have explained in detail I just wanted to point out that it happens more often then not for tourist visa to be denied even if strong ties exist, since as previously stated every attempt to arrive in the US is attempt to immigrate. It’s just is, no matter how silly it sounds.
  11. If it’s any comfort , dq’d since August 17th, meaning we are waiting for 53 days, and our embassy is not one of the busy ones, nor does it deal with transferred cases. Also diversity visa cases that have been backlogged are raised in prirority and their new cycle starts in Oct. every year, also the students visa should not be prevalent this time of the year. Just patience, and we’ll get there.
  12. No scrutiny. Those are all honest, hard jobs that pay bills.
  13. Not enough ties to go back. Maybe mom and her paying for the ticket, means not earning enough, and you have a immigrant petition pending as it is.
  14. I would ask the cbp: Hi, I want to avoid paying taxes untill next year. Can you please not indorse my cr1? Pun intended.
  15. Court records. And a proof that there is no criminal case pending against him.
  16. You can try. Line your ducks in order, make sure you have clear and concise medical paperwork. I know of the situation where open heart surgery was pending due to blood cloth on the aortic valve, after labor and delivery. Only I after she had a heart attack, they did expedite it. Just so you know what to expect.
  17. Paper, as in first anniversary gift, since it takes that long. It’s only fitting 😁
  18. Makes sense. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, you cannot have Nikah, if you do not present the civil marriage certificate, for exact same reasons.
  19. How is it regulated by law, if Moroccans get married in the US, and reside in the US with dual citizenship, do they have to record their marriages in Morocco? And any subsequent changes?
  20. Make sure it’s translated.
  21. I am just tired of people trying to skip the line, exhaggerating what seams to be a common symptom for all of us waiting for our loved ones and missing them.
