    Hello everyone! I just got my approval on Aug 12. I was wondering how long it takes before I will get my welcome letter from the NVC? Can I expect it this week?

    In my opinion the CR1 is better because the benefits are better. As soon as your spouse gets here they can work and drive if they apply for the CR1. And it’s taking the same amount as a K1 right now. With the K1 they will have to wait like 10 months after they arrive to even be able to work

    Okay. I just fired my attorney because she was very rude and unprofessional. Gave me bad legal advice as well so I am just trying to make sure that I don’t mess up anything at the NVC because I want to get DQ the first time around

    The spouse of the joint sponsor does not work so what documents would I still need for her?

    Yes the joint sponsor is married. I am waiting on my NVC welcome letter so I haven’t uploaded anything yet just trying to get stuff together

    What would be considered evidence of actual US residence for joint sponsor? For the joint sponsor I am uploading their tax transcript, w2 or 1099. And their birth certificate. What else would I need

    So he will just need to provide the tax return from 2021. Will he need the joint sponsors w2s as well or no?

    Hello everyone! I just got my approval from uscis but I was thinking ahead and had a question. Estimating on the country my husband is coming from and the way they are scheduling interviews at his embassy he should be here within the next 7 months. Which puts him at having an interview in February or March. My question is if my husband has his interview before taxes for the year 2022 can be filed or before the tax return is processed for 2022 does that mean he will need to provide the tax return from our joint sponsor of year 2021?

    Yes but the good thing is once you get approved for your petition you can estimate on when you will have the interview. I will keep in touch with you about how things go for the Dominican Republic

    I checked on a website called VISAWHEN. But I also am in a WhatsApp group of people that are petitioning their spouses specifically from Dominican Republic so we all have been sharing our journey and help each other with each part of the process. Maybe there’s a WhatsApp group for people coming from Italy. I would definitely look into it

    It’s take around 7 months for an interview from the time your petition is approved until the time you go to your interview

    I am thankfully that after the NVC stage and I am DQd I will receive my interview letter about 2.5-3 months later. And the interview should be 2 months from the interview letter. That’s for Dominican Republic

    It counts from NOA1. And you can try to file an expedite. I tried like a week ago and they denied me. Then I got my approval yesterday. It doesn’t hurt to try. Hang in there. I know how you feel. I was losing hope when I was seeing other people get their approvals. But have faith and God will get you through

    I checked my case tracker app and the status changed to second active review and then I went and logged in and the approval was in the documents tab

    We finally got our approval!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉 after 345 long days we finally made it!!!! Everyone who is still waiting please hang in there. I know it’s exhausting but it’s coming!!! Praying for you all
