OMG ISSUED!!!!! I am the one at the top of the spreadsheet. Leading the pack with 168 days since interview and I can’t believe it I’m crying!!!

Here is a quick timeline since the interview:
    Sep 3-interview
Sep 28- case status update with email request for additional court records (sent next day)
Oct 8 - case status update
Oct-Dec - I sent email inquiries every other week, received copy pasted responses to about 50% of them.
Jan 2- submitted a public inquiry
Jan 5 - received a specific response asking for clarification on a court record (responded right away)
Jan 18 - Case status update
Feb 2- Put request in with Congresswoman to inquire and let them know our medical exam expires in 4 weeks.
Feb 7 - Congress office sent inquiry
    Feb 10- case status update
Feb 11- case status update and specific follow up question sent to Congress in reply to inquiry (sent answers right away. Asked Congress to follow up again on inquiry letting the consulate know we sent answers and our medical now expires in 2 weeks.
    Feb 14- case status update
    Feb 15-case status update
    Feb 16- case status update
    Feb 17 - ISSUED AP
Feb 18 - ISSUED FP and tracking email sent.

This is the craziest thing I’ve ever experienced! We will be getting the passport literally days before the medical expires!

my overall tip: for us contacting the congresswoman directly impacted our case and brought movement. So I suggest all do this. It may also depend on your state though. Our office was extremely helpful and quick to inquire.

thank you @Danii for everything!  Good luck everyone. Especially @ice-qube. If I we got ours before the medical expired, so can you!

After 105 days of waiting due to medical delay, I have finally been issued!!!! To say that I am elated is an understatement but I cannot help feeling a tremendous sadness for everyone else in this terrible situation especially @ice-qube @BatmanFlow I will pray everyday for your approval. Thanks to all my VJ friends who have been my lifeline during this emotional and stressful time,  particularly @Danii thank you for always answering all my questions or concerns.  Best  wishes and good luck to all of you who are still waiting to be approved.

Hey guys, I have a question. How do Congressman/Senators/Representatives help outside of simply inquiring about your case (something that you could do yourself)? I ask because when my Senator (Marco Rubio) asked on my behalf, outside of a formal answer to their generic one they'd send me, that was all that was done. Can a Senator help in more ways? At the end of Rubio's email, he says if I have any other questions or concerns, to email him, though, I cannot think of a way to ask him to help out more than just inquire about my case. Can a Senator do more than simply ask about my case? It's also funny that the Consulate's answer is; "he's in AP," as if we didn't know that. Do you think that asking my Senator to ask the Consulate WHY I'm in AP would force the Consulate to look into my case to answer the WHY part. Perhaps then they will realise that I'm in AP for literally no reason? What else can I do here to exhaust all other options/possibilities before a lawsuit!?

    https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-5-collect-financial-evidence-and-other-supporting-documents/step-7-collect-civil-documents.html
Go to the section “Police Certificate”  and  at the end “Important”.

Either way you cannot submit anything it the consulate don’t request that.

I just checked CEAC, I try to limit myself to once a week to spare my sanity, what's left of it.  I was presently surprised today. It was updated on Friday for the first time since Dec 20th (which was my only other update).  1 year exactly to the date that my case was created, but going on 23 months of first application.  Coincidently we sent letters off to our senators and congresspeople on Saturday.

No, my husband had called the state reps office ( noone answered) he was writing up the email to send to them later this afternoon and he checked the ceac tracker for the last update and it had changed to READY.  5 minutes before it had said refused. He thought he logged into something wrong or there was an error. Lol. When I say I was shocked.... like what?!

Hi! I sometimes lurk this thread to see if any of you have made it to the other side - congrats to those that have! I feel for you that haven't yet as I too waited a long time for no reason at all.

I am the person with the fingerprint issue. So the main thing I just wanted to say was that I was never in AP. My status just never changed from 'Ready' so I believe that may be why the involvement from our senator was helpful because I wasn't on an AP list but literally just forgotten about after they made their error... I've been reading here and it looks like when you're placed in AP is when the involvement doesn't help as much, but honestly I would say go for it because in my case, it was the reason I got to the other side.

Best of luck to you all!

I agree with this. It's likely that the inquiry does nothing but it's not too hard to do, so might as well if you have some free time. The few people who did get a rep involved + got approval sent the inquiry around the 30-40ish day mark and got approved around 50 days. It's possible that their cases were going to be approved at that time regardless of the rep. It's anecdotal evidence at this point, but like you said, doesn't hurt to try!

Edit: just randomly remembered this- it's also worth it to try because we don't know exactly what's wrong with our case. I think for +95% of cases, it's actually just in AP/waiting for clearance, but for others, there may be something else happening. There was one user on the main Montreal thread who was put into AP without DS5535/additional document request. When she got her rep involved, the consulate finally informed her that her fingerprints actually didn't save on their system so they couldn't process the case! She had to go back in person to redo them. I believe in situations like that, if a rep isn't involved, it would take a long time for Montreal to catch their mistake.

@Federicowe  got the typical OP3 canned response to our public enquiry 7 days later (last Friday) with no answers to our questions.  My case has not been updated in CEAC since Dec 20.  We will be reaching out to our senators and congressman on Feb 6 (a few days before we reach 60 days in DS-5535 processing) and a friend of mine has contacts in Washington so sending everything to her as well to see what she can find out.  I will post here if anything happens.
Have you reached out to your Senators yet?  It can't hurt...
