I'm not looking for creating a case and having it ready, just if NVC has received the case yet. It's ok if you don't monitor it - I was just trying to figure out if anyone who got their Noa2 around the same time we did (mid-October) hasn't gotten it received by NVC yet.

Yeah the 2-3 months NVC case creation means they received the petition from USCIS. So if you received your NOA 2 mid October, the prediction is you might have a case # by mid Jan. 2023 at the most.

From my end I am expecting a case# by mid Feb. following that timeline. By logic, the most important thing is to get the case# generated. I mean, I don't see the petition going anywhere else aside from NVC. They do batch processing just looking at the approval style, which is why you will see Aug. that was approved around end of Oct. and some Aug. petitioners that got approved just yesterday (Dec.).

75 days I've NOA2 date and NVC hasn't received it yet. Anyone else in the same boat? (Very sorry for those still waiting for NOA2). I keep seeing 6-8 week timelines for this step and we're way past that now.

Based from my observation, it takes 2-3 months for NVC to create a case for the petition and have the status Case Ready.

I don't monitor though the timeline of processese such as: NVC receipt of the petition from USCIS, NVC Case Review time, Change from assigning case# to in transit to case ready.

We were approved today. As a recap, we received a "Request for Initial Information" on November 7th. They had lost my passport picture. I had read here that it is a good idea to send more evidence when you get those notices, so I sent them evidence of our ongoing  relationship because it has been 15 months since we first file it. They officially received the documents on the 23rd and we got approved on December 1st. Someone here jinxed it by saying that I should only send them what they asked but they took less than the usual 2 weeks time to approve our case. For those still waiting, don't lose hope, you're almost there. We're all going to be part of the "DECEMBER 2022 K1 NOA2 to NVC to EMBASSY" topic soon :)

    NOA1 - August 20th 2021

    NOA2 - December 1st 2022

    Total 468 days

    Congratulations!!!!

Now, we're ready for the USCIS to NVC Case creation. I saw some posts that it takes 2-3 months.

I have a suspicion that it does (see below)

After reading below, I am curious ... maybe a PM of you are willing to share.

Mar_ia, that seems quite doubtful.  For example a simple timeline search here shows Ukraine and Russia had dramatic accelerations (in some cases as short as 1-2 months.  I have also seen that generally (also based on timrline searches) that some asian countries seem to have longer time stretches as compared with others.

In my scans, I see 10s of cases still untouched going all the way back to May and 20s of cases in July to mid August.

Not sure what else other than "regionality" might determine if a case does or does not get taken from the "Case was received" to something more active (even RFE)

Hopefully it comes through for you sometime soon ...

You will see a speed spike of Ukraine and Russia petitions because they can claim for humanitarian reasons due to war. In fact if I am not mistaken the US government made a statement that they will prioritize those who are affected in the war zone areas.

I also belong to a group of July and August filers and the approvals are really "scattered."

Does anyone know what are some common causes for RFE's that people are getting requested for?

What I've typically seen is request for proof of meeting within the 2 year period before filing the K1.

Most of them have submitted pictures and other evidences, but what I suspect is the "type of evidences and its arranggement " is causing the issue, probably not at par to the USCIS requirements.

Have you heard about Niagara Falls? Over millennia, water carved path through miles and miles of solid rock.

It's also called "death by a thousand cuts".

    Polite. Professional.

    Persistent.

    Unyielding.

I heard about "death by a thousand cuts" it is a form of torture with your neighboring country. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

It is a slow painful death as a form of idiomatic expression.

With regards to Niagara falls, yes I've been there. What I can say with that is "water finds its way."

Sorry to be a party pooper but as it has been stated before, there are overlapping number with July and August. Also most of the Saturday numbers are updated on Monday.

Yes you are a party pooper! Just kidding 😂😂😂😂. Of course, how everyone wish they process it faster than what they are doing now. However, reality check is, we don't have control on such things, and based from my country where they stopped K1 visa processing, this is better news rather than nothing at all.
