    Thank you!!!

Your case number follows the below pattern:
3 letters that identify your embassy + year + (Julian date (+500)) + number of the case in that day

I'll get the example that it's on the PDF on the first page of this thread:
    MTL2014815162 =
    MTL | 2014 | 815 | 162 =
    Montreal | Created in 2014 | 315th Julian Day (+ 500) | 162nd case that day =
    Montreal | Created in 2014 | November 11th | 162nd case that day

"First three letters indicate that this case is going through Montreal, and the case number was assigned on November 11, 2014, and it was the 162nd case that day to be given a number. The first three letters indicate that this case is going through Montreal, and the number was assigned on November 11, 2014, and it was the 162nd case that day to be given a number. Use the calendar below." (From the PDF)

You can find the 2023 Julian calendar here.

Good to know. Im curious about that julian date formula because 815+500=1315. Please forgive my ignorance and perhaps im missing something but Im assuming we lob off the first digit to arrive at 315? If mine is 699+500=1199 then my julian date would be July 18th?

Sorry I’ve found it. Mine says in transit, that’s a good thing right?! Any estimates on how long it takes to get there and am I now waiting on a letter or something to book the interview? Can I fill in the DS160 now?

Hello and congrats. Should only take a few days to reach your embassy. It could take weeks to get the actual instructions letter (varies by embassy.) Some people at this point start scheduling their interviews etc. Im giving it 5 days after i got the "in transit" then will start scheduling our interview, medical etc. Yes, go ahead and submit your DS-160

You already have a case number, you're safe.
The "Department of State sent case to USCIS for review" status has been popping up in February these past weeks. I never counted them exactly, but it's like 1-2 per range, which would be around 20-30 cases in 2000+ approved. So the probability is low. It's still not a significant number if you look at the total approved number, but it still worries me.

Okay cool that's reassuring. Plus, I'm confident you're going to get good news soon.

    Hello everyone !
my I-129f approval notice came on 06-26-23

submitted request to NVC on 07-25-23 just received an answer from them. This is what is says. Exactly!!!! Please let me hear your thought 💭. What should I do?????

    To Whom it Concerns:

Thank you for your inquiry. The National Visa Center (NVC) has not yet received your petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Although the Form I-797 approval notice mentions a delay of up to 30 days for cases to be delivered to NVC from USCIS, current shipping times may be longer. If you have not received a communication from NVC about this case within 60 days from the I-797 approval notice, please contact us again.

Once NVC receives this petition from USCIS and enters it into our system, all case parties will receive a notice that they can begin processing if a visa number is immediately available.

    Kindest Regards,

Hello Kaan. It took a little over 30 days for nvc to receive my petition after receiving my noa2 from uscis. I think you're ok. Id give it another week then inquire again.
