  1. Hi all.  My fiance had her interview in Guangzhou on 1/24 but was refused with 221 (g) form requesting she submit my certified divorce paper along with her passport.

Those documents were delivered to the embassy via CITIC bank about 10 days ago.  I check the CEAC case status website daily.

The status has remained "Refused" with the last update showing 1/24.

This morning the site is acting strange.   If I check on a computer, it still says refused and 1/24, but if I check on my phone, it now says "at NVC".

We are so eager for her to get her visa.  I'm really confused why the phone and the computer show different status.

  2. My Fiance had her interview on 1/24 in Guangzhou.  White 221(g) was given to her requesting she mail in her passport and my certified divorce papers.

I got a relative to get the certified copy from the court and FEDEX it to us in China.

Consulate is closed until 2/15 due to holiday.  Her lawyer will deliver the passport and divorce paper on Friday this week.

We are very hopeful that her visa is issued quickly after this is submitted.

Had an amazing 3 weeks with her but I had to come back to the states 2 days ago.

We are very excited for her to finally come to America.  Praying for fast approval.

  3. Good morning.  My fiancé had her interview on the 24th in Guangzhou. Looks like she passed but she received a request for documentation.   My divorce judgment copy wasnt properly certified.  She was told if we send in the properly certified copy along with her passport and request letter then she should have her visa within 7-10 days.    The lawyer we are using in China confirmed.
mom flying back to America on the 4th and will go to the courthouse and get the certified copy.

Slight delay but we are so excited to be this close!
    thoughts?

  4. A couple of months ago USCIS approved and sent the visa package to the NVC.

On 8/24, I received the email from NVC saying  the k1 visa petition was sent to the US embassy/consulate in Guangzhou china.

Today i checked status and got this message.

What does this mean?  why would this happen and what is next for us?
  5. Got the RFE letter in the mail today.   4 questions.  First 3 were about three old DUIs.  They asked for the final court disposition.  I'm confused how to reply as I gave them the final court dispositions, certified by the courts with my original paperwork.

The 4th question is concerning.  They asked who was the target of an expired protective order.

I have a good friend that I previously had a fight with....  she filed a protective order for really no reason...but that isnt the problem.  Her last name is the same as my fiance's last name out of coincidence.     Not sure how to reply to these.

  6. Hello,

I'm using rapidvisa to help with my fiance's K1.

They did a review of our entire package and they say they believe the government may think my proof of meeting her is not sufficient.

I have my passport clearly showing entry and exit in China.  I have my plane tickets but lost the boarding passes.  I also included about 15 phots of me and my fiance and her family all together.   I stayed at her home so no hotel reciepts.

Should't my passport stamps, tickets and photos be enough?
