Hello members, We want to use a joint sponsor for my AOS because we have a feeling that my partner’s income isn't enough. Does my partner has to fill the form too or does the form allow both the joint sponsor and my petitioner fill the  same form? The same sponsor filled affidavit of support when I was processing k1 visa and it was approved, but it’s like we are green on how this for AOS is done. Please I’m a waiting for your advices

We are about to file AOS.( done with marriage) If anyone can explain to us what to do, we will appreciate! Can we file for Working license, Social security Number and Adjustment of status at the same time? How can we do it ?What are the supporting documents needed? and what are the wait times?  . We are k1 visa category . Thank you very much 

Thank u people for all your advices . They have really helped us to decide wisely.. We obtained marriage license which allows us to use a judge or church depending on what is convenient for us. The court clearly told us that as long as we get marriage licence, we can wed via court or church and get a certificate, take it to county   for marriage registration and obtain government approved marriage certificate the same day. So we are going to use church instead of court . 

Hello members! I finally made it to US to my fiancee. Now we are looking forward to the next step of marrying and file adjustment of status. 

Between Church  and Coart wedding, which one do u reccomend and why? , Your advise will make us reach our decision.  Thank you! 

I finally got my k1 visa issued but the problem is the visa is printed with wrong date of birth.  It has 3 Sept xxxx instead of 9 March xxxx. My DS 160 form,NOA 1 and 2 approval forms,passport,birth certificate and all paper work concerning my visa have correct date . Obviously it was a printing error on visa. To my observation  he wrote date in place of month but year is correct. My problem is that I have realised this error 2 days to my flight. The embassy takes almost 5 business days before one gets a reply to the email if I'm to inform them..Obviously I will miss the flight. What should I do? Can I travel however much I have all the proof to show it was embassys mistake? Advise me please!! 

I did my k1 visa reinterview yesterday on 9th Feb and got approved and was given a slip written on approval information.  But when today 10th Feb I check my status it shows APPLICATION RECIEVED and it has changed from IMMIGRANT VISA to NONIMMIGRANT VISA. Is this really normal. I have heard of AP but this looks new to me .. someone calm me down

I received an email from the us embassy that I will be required to attend 2nd k1 visa interview after 221g request for documents which I did 3 times and submitted my Passort too via DHL courier . What does this mean on my case? Who schedules the 2nd interview ? Me or the embassy? If it's me, how do I do it? Advise please. Thanks

i hope in those emails they asked for neither of you referred to the other as "my wife"   " my husband"  as i have seen that done in African countries

seems even though you do not think you have any red flags,  the embassy does

u may still go thru a long AP before an approval

or denied 

 

still asking for your passport is the best of all the RFE's u can get

I had my first interview on Dec 3rd 2021 and got a refusal letter which instructed me to submit Child's birth certificate, my passport  and my fiancee's visit stamp in her Us passport. I submitted them immediately after 1day. After a week they asked me to submit antinental visit health records of my fiancee during gestation period and I did it immediately. After another week I was asked to submit photos,chats,emails as proof of relationship and I did that. Then after 8 days a got another email which instructed me that I'm supposed to go for a second interview but slots aren't available.As I'm waiting for slots they told me to put together   WhatsApp chats from 10th July to 24th July 2021. My child was born on 17th July.  I'm really wondering what my chances of approval could be. What really happens on 2nd interview and what could be the reason for inviting me for 2nd interview in my case? Some advise please
