  1. It's a very long story. To make a long story short, his kids don't have their IDs and passports yet. This is something my fiance has been working on for years. He's been making progress on this lately, but it might still take several months to complete.
  2. Thanks for the answer! I know we can try to expedite it, but it seems like that's a gamble. I've heard that it's unlikely to be expedited for that reason.
  3. I think I need to re-word the question or explain a little bit more. My fiance would need to travel back to his country within a few months of coming here on his K1 visa so that he can work on getting the children's passports(It's a long story, but he's been working on getting their IDs and passports for years now.) So that they can come to the US with him on K2 visas. This would need to happen within a year from when my fiance gets his K1 visa. Right now, my fiance can send in his passport and get his K1 visa anytime. We're trying to get the issue with the kids passports settled first so that they can all travel together, but it's taking a long time.
  4. What do you mean by consular process? What's that? We've already applied for the K1 visa in September 2021. He's already had his interview and the visas are just being held up by some of the paperwork for his kids.
  5. My fiance is thinking of coming on his K1 visa and getting married and then filing for AP to be able to go back and work on the paperwork for his children so he can bring them to the US with him. Is this feasible? Will the USCIS grant the AP for this reason?
  6. My fiance had his interview in KL. He never received anything in the mail beforehand. He received a similar email. Just answer the questions they ask. If the case is ready, you can go ahead and schedule your medical and interview. To be honest, I'm not even sure what "the packet" refers to. I've heard it mentioned many times in the forums. The closest we ever received was this email.
  7. Yes, the interview was in May. He was giving verbal approval pending a couple things he needs to submit, one of them being paperwork for his children which looks like it may take months or years to get. So we are contemplating options.
  8. If I were to marry my fiance and live with him in his country while waiting for the spousal visa, would there be any possible way for us to sponsor ourselves, or would we for sure need a joint sponsor?
  9. How did you enter the US without being vaxxed for COVID? Also, if you entered on a K1 visa, how did you get past the requirement to show proof of COVID vaccination before the medical check up?
  10. My fiance resided in the Philippines for over six months many years ago. How can he get a certificate of good conduct that he needs for his interview? Can he just go to the Philippine embassy in his country?
  11. I read that there's a measure that passed through the House to end this requirement for non citizens to have the COVID vaccine to enter the country. Not sure when it'll happen exactly.
  12. So then the petitioner would need to bring or mail the necessary documents to the beneficiary instead of just scanning them?
  13. For the interview, is it necessary to bring any original documents, or can they be copies? For example, the NOA2, divorce certificate, birth certificate, tax transcripts, etc..
  14. What is the worst that can possibly happen if someone who is applying for AOS from a K1 visa has the waiver for vaccines denied? I'm asking this theoretically because we're not to that stage yet. But I'm worrying about this so trying to calm my fears.
  15. Are you talking about adjustment of status? I'm talking about the K1 visa. We're still waiting for noa2.
  16. That's what I was afraid of. Thanks for your answer!
  17. Our NOA1 is September 13 2021. We'll be outside "normal processing time" on February 1st.
  18. I've sent two inquires to the USCIS myself the wording on the responses I got basically said my case was waiting adjudication. I just got a response from the inquiry my senator did for me, and the wording on that one sounds more hopeful. It said that our case has been assigned to an officer and it's being reviewed and to expect correspondence soon. Does this mean that our case is making progress, or do they just give better sounding responses to congressional inquires?
  19. I just did a scan of 133000-133499. I saw 2 approvals and 1 RFE sent today.
  20. I scanned most of September and counted about 84 approvals with today's and tomorrow's dates with most activity focused on mid September. One thing I don't understand though is why some cases are marked approved with tomorrow's date. I've seen this on other days too. Does anyone know why?
  21. Did you factor in the slowdowns for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays coming up?
