  2. hi gurl,

i have a question. when did you schedule your interview? did you wait until the embassy received the hard copy from the nvc?

just wondering coz i called the embassy this morning and i was told to call again in 2 weeks time coz they only have an electronic copy right now. do they actually need the hard copy before i can set an appointment?

    thanks.

    - sue

    hi back to you sue,

uscis informed my husband that our docs forwarded to NVC we have to wait 2 to 3 weeks on 3rd week my husband called in NVC april 04 he got MNLcase# and he was told to wait 1 or 2 weeks my documents arrived @ consular office but a friend on mine told me to try calling USEM and i did my documents was their last april 9 so i schedule myself then but i reschedule my interview since my husband don't have orginal copy of his divorce.... Reschedule interview on May 28 and i have an early medical on May 13 and later on 12 days i got snail mail from consular too.

  3. I need to pick up a "Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage" at the USA embassy in Manila. But I need to do it in between flights because my destination isnt Manila,I'm just passing through. I'm just worried that they wont allow me on the embassy with my bags? I dont know where I could keep them until I g

If your destination to Cebu City i suggest you, to get your legal capacity there. Upon my hubby's arrival we proceed to Consular Office log in cause it is a first come first serve basis. Be sure somebody will meet u at airport @ airport your fiancee and other person to watch your things while u and your fiancee enter @ consular office. Leave your electronic devices @ the personnel assigned to for this.

note: ready $ 30 or rate converted in Philippine money for legal capacity payment.

  5. I am looking forward on the time I will have the schedule of my medical exam and interview. I understand I need to complete my medical exam first before I will have the interview at the US embassy of Manila. I am thinking on how long it takes (approximate total number of days) to complete the medical exam and interview. We, with my fiance, want to have an idea on how many days/nights I have to spend there in Manila when my turn comes.

I hope any from this website can give me idea about it. Thanks

2 days for medical ( first day - - check ups second day --- vaccinations )

1 day for interview ( whole day )

    goodluck :thumbs::dance: :dance: :dance:

  6. Don't need to make an appointment, just print the email and show up at their doorstep at about 4:30 AM to be first in line. With all the required documents

The same happened to me. First go to http://203.177.135.10/ivappointment/login.asp and put in your MNL number and it will give you the interview and medical dates, you can do the medical on that date or print the confirmation email to show Saint Lukes and you can go early.

I recently called the USEM and got an interview appointment for my fiancee. The confirmation email was sent to her that day. One they I noticed is that the confirmation message made no mention of her medical exam appointment. Are we supposed to set them up ourselves? If so, what will we need to do to make sure that the USEM has a record of everything? Thanks.

    DW

    Samuel + Retchel,

I went back and typed in my number and it said that it could not find me on the appointment list. I have heard that they are very bad when it comes to updating the system. So are you saying that my fiancee and I can schedule her medical appointment ourselves? I thought that maybe the embassy set it up when they set up the interview date. Thanks.

    DW

Ok, I just checked the appointment schedule and it has us listed as having an interview appointment on 5/20 at 7:00am instead of 7:30am which is listed i the confirmation email. I think I will have my fiancee there very early just in case. Also, we have a medical examination date set for 5/13. I guess as long as the medical exam is done prior to the interview it doesn't matter.

    DW

when i called USEM i choose my interview on May 28th and i asked the operator when i can schedule my medical he said 1 or 2 weeks before my interview and when i check my case online my medical scheduled on may 21th but i am going to manila on may 13th and i will see if i can visit st lukes on 13th in the afternoon, if not i will be going on may 14th. Goodluck to your wife's medical exam

i guess i will wait out until i actually receive the letter from the embassy telling me to call that number to set the interview, compare it with where we're at at the nvc... and finally decide....

    - sue

  13. hello VJ peeeps!

just wonderin... if any of you here have done what i did... had the seminar way back... and will just go back for the stamping as soon as i get the visa... the question is... can i just do that at the airport on the day im leaving so as not to waste time going back to CFO office??? and if so... what are the requirements????

anyone??? any suggestions will be greatly appreciated... thanks...

only CFO will give u sticker so go to CFO office and bring with u the CFO seminar certificate to show that u have done seminar. goodluck

  14. Yes, you can apply for AOS as soon as you arrive in the US. The fee is $1010. I believe the Guides have all the information you're looking for.

thank u so much .... will u give me the link for that?

    Agreed to Reba. :)

  15. Hi All

ok so I recieved a letter from NVC last week letting me know that they have recieved my affidavit of support, but that I had missing documents. There are three pages total including the letter, a bar code sheet, and a note stating I am missing the DS-230. So accorording to this it says I am missing the DS-230 and thats it so I called NVC twice and both times I was told I could print out the DS-230 and fill it out and send it in along with the bar code sheet that was this checklist letter. I also was told another packet was sent out to me, but I havent recieved it so I am wondering if the lady gave me wrong information and that is the first packet. What is the packet 3 include? Anyone have this same type of experience? Also do I send to the NVC along with the DS-230 all the documents they request from the embassy such as marriage certificate, police certificate, etc. or does that get taken to the actual interview? Hope this is not as confusing as I am completly confused and want to make sure I do things right!

just follow wat NVC told u and i think u are not a K3 filer but a CR1 flow.... check CR1 topic

  16. It is better to file Married that way you both with get more money from George W. refund check. Also it better for tax break. Due to the fact you are married you live outside the USA, he will be a break on earn income as half of his income is your and you live outside the USA. There is several reason it better to file jointly as married. He can file single, and once you get here file correct copy of his income taxes, but he will not get the full Goerge W. tax break. Good luck and God bless.

ur right they will get more money but the situation aint easy buddy..., they can do it when she is in US anyway, so that will be the time they can get of the money LOL . I suggest to follow wat shape was advice .

  17. hi nova!

  18. HELP! I WILL BE HAVING MY INTERVIEW THIS COMING MAY 29TH IT'S JUST THAT WE'RE WORRYING ABOUT MY HUSBAND'S 1040a(INDIVIDUAL TAX RETURN) UP TO NOW HE'S NOT SURE WHAT TO FILE FOR HIS 2007 TAX RETURN, HE DOESN'T KNOW WHICH IS BETTER, TO FILE AS SINGLE; MARRIED FILING JOINTLY; OR MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY, HE IS OPTING TO FILE MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY BUT WORRYING THAT HE WILL BE NEEDING MY SSN NUMBER, OR TIN NUMBER(?), AND HE ALSO SAID HE WILL BE NEEDING MY ORIGINAL PASSPORT FOR THIS, HELP GUYS, IS IT OKAY IF HE FILE AS SINGLE EVEN IF HE'S ALREADY MARRIED(WE'RE MARRIED JUNE 30,2007) SO THAT HE WON'T BE GETTING MY ORIGINAL PASSPORT AND HAVE IT NOTARIZED THERE IN THE US? I DON'T WANT TO GIVE HIM MY PASSPORT BECAUSE I WILL HAVE MY MEDICAL THIS MAY 7TH(EARLY), AND EVEN IF I GIVE HIM MY PASSPORT I DON'T KNOW IF HE CAN GET A TIN NUMBER FOR ME. WILL IT BE A PROBLEM IF THE CONSUL WILL NOTICE WHY HE FILED SINGLE EVEN IF MARRIED ALREADY? HOPE YOU'LL ENLIGHTENED US...THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT TO US...THANK YOU GUYS.

nova what i got from my husband was his form 1040ez(income tax return for single and joint filers with no dependents) attached to his W-2 he will be going to include me on 2008 and what does the embassy required are 2005,2006,2007

if he is going to have file affidavit of support (form 134) tell him to notorized the form. If u are K3 u don't have to send your passport to him cause during interview st. lukes 1 requirements is your passport.

hope others will help you with this matter too. Goodluck on May 29th your interview.
