  1. Hello! I received the RFE letter today and we were asked for more supporting doc that we intent to marry. When I sent our intent to marry letter, my fiancé signed the form and scanned it. I also signed on the same paper. My question is, does USCIS accept scanned signed letter or do they really need the actual letter with his signature? Thank you!
  2. So I was just on the phone with them. Just as I thought, they are not really a help unless there's a change online because like my multiple experience in my previous calls, they see what we can see online. When I called two weeks ago, I requested for Tier 2 agent. So the person told me that I'm on cue for that call back. Again, I asked how long, he said 30 days when the call/request was made. I asked several questions. Answers are not really helpful. - Question: How long does it take to change the status online from when I received the update from my congresswoman. Answer: He said that I will receive the letter first before the online status changes. I told him that I haven't heard of that before and that all the RFE update online usually comes before the letter. Then he answers, it's either or. - Question: How long will it take for me to get the letter on the mail? Answer: He did not give me an answer really. He just gave me some BS stuff, like I just have to wait until the letter arrives. I was hoping to get like an estimate. - Questions: (Just out of curiosity). How do I know that the information my congresswoman got from you is legit. Answer: Basically, he doesn't know. He said he can't see any update on my case. Unfortunately, I was not able to get to a tier 2 agent because I'm already on cue. So what I get from this. Tier 1 has the same information as we have. That it is, for me, pointless to call and ask for info from a tier 1 agent if you are just asking for update on a case. If after 2 weeks I haven't gotten any letter or there's no change on my case status online, I will try calling USCIS again and send an email to my congresswoman. However, if there's a change on my status online and haven't gotten the letter yet, I will do as you did. Ask them to sent the letter via email Thank you for the info though. It is helpful, especially if my status online has changed. 😊
  3. Thank you! I tried calling after work, but then the call center was already closed when I called. I'll try tomorrow. I'm curious though if they can give me info, because my status has not changed yet in their website. It's still "Case was received." I wonder if that has happened before, where the congressman or senator informed you that there's an update, but there's no change in the case status in the USCIS website after a couple of days. I remember, I read a post on fb, where they received an email from their representative and their status changed online the next day. So, I'm still kinda holding my breath on this. Thanks for your suggestion. I will definitely do that if I haven't gotten anything in the mail. Although, in the email, USCIS said to give them a call if I have not received the letter by Sep 1.
  4. Thank you! This is very helpful. No mail was sent to me from last week. So we will see.
  5. We are 16 month into our K1 visa application. We haven't gotten our approval yet. If we were in your case, we would have changed to spousal visa instead. It's a much better visa. We only did the K1 because the time we applied, the processing time is 6-8 months. I wish we had a crystal ball that time. LOL
  6. My congresswoman emailed me las week, on the day our case turned 16 month, saying that we have an RFE. It's annoying to know that after 16 months of wait, we get an RFE. And I can't think of anything that I missed with the application. I was very thorough. Although, I am grateful to know that they are working on our case. I'm grateful to my congresswoman as well. Anyway... My question is. USCIS said that they sent out the RFE on 8/18/22. However, since then, the case status has not change yet on the app, in the USCIS website, and in MyUSCIS. Is that normal? Honestly, I don't trust USCIS anymore. I will only believe it once I have the letter.
  7. Hello! My fiancé and I are waiting for our K1 NOA2. Unfortunately, it's been 16 months now and we haven't gotten out approval yet. We are April 2021 filers. It seems like USCIS has forgotten our case and few of the remaining untouched April 2021 cases, as USCIS has not been processing new April 2021 cases. They significantly slowed down and moved on to May and June 2021. I would like to ask for your advice, if it is wise for us to shift to spousal visa instead. Yes, we understand that we will be waiting for the K1 visa, but to wait for 16 months without being certain when USCIS will look back at our cases made us think maybe we should get married instead. How is the CR1 processing going currently? Is it still significantly longer than the K1? I appreciate your input. PS - How is CVC looking? Are they much much slower than the other visa centers? I'm afraid that if we apply for the cr1, we will have the same experience as our K1. And I know it's a gamble. PPS - Is there anybody applying with their spouse in Egypt? How is the wait for an interview there? Thank you!!!
  8. You’re right. Who knows with these people. It could be 3 months, it count be in 2 weeks, or it could be tomorrow… although, I highly doubt that 😹 We can’t do anything but share our frustration. A lot of people have moved on to the next step already. We are still here in limbo.
  9. We’re 76500 range. It’s been probably 3 weeks, or it feels more than that, that they approved a new case. im curious. Can I just go to their California office and talk to them personally??? I so wanted to do that and see their faces and not just over the phone. I want a live person to get an explanation, why they do this. I want them to see how I really feel and let them know that we are not just case numbers or documents in their shelves. We are human beings they keeping hostages. Yes, they keep us hostages because our lives are at pause and we are stuck. USCIS is depriving us of our future. How cruel is that??? I promised myself to stop posting because I will just get a comment to “be patient.” Just like when I posted on fb… I had to delete it. It’s irritating, because it’s like telling someone who is already angry, not to be angry. I know I have to be patient. But because I’m human, I get frustrated. Sometimes, you just need to let that frustration air out, then you feel a little better. With how things are going, I think the whole process will be over 2 years, from start to my fiancé stepping a foot in this country. It’s 3x more than the original processing time when we started this application. 😡😭
  10. I call at least once a week, and I even debate myself whether I want to waste an hour with these people. Because I know what they will say anyway. I just thought that if I call them every week, they will know that we are still waiting for their decision. Although, I don't know if it really makes any difference. Anyway, on all my calls, they pretty much just read what's in the website. I mean like, yes, we can ready what you're reading. It's in the website! Last Friday, when I called, the tier 1 agent read the same thing so I asked to be transferred to a tier 2 agent. She gave me a priority number. I asked how long will I expect the call back. At the back of my mind, I was expecting hmmmm maybe the next 5 business days... and I thought I was being generous. But the lady told me to expect a call 7 to 30 days. And in my mind, I was like, "sure! whatever!" USCIS has let me down sooooo many times, that they don't surprise me anymore because I'm already expecting the worse from these people. What gets me though is the fact that they can actually finish the whole untouched April cases in a day if they really want to... or the whole April 2021 cases in less than a week if they will actually work on it. It's frustrating. I just cry and pray that God will somehow intervene. I really don't know what to do at this time.
  11. Congrats! I'm curious. How did you feel? Was it bitter sweet? God willing, when we get our approval, I think it will be a mixed emotion. Because it's really unfair what their doing to us. On to your next waiting game at the NVC. You're a step close.
  12. In our case, there's 23 "other" cases. However, there's actually only 12 cases that's "case was received."
  13. I'm hopeful to see 5 new cases approved in 69000 range. But then again, I'm cautious and not have my hopes high. USCIS is really in crashing your hopes. 😆😫
  14. Hang tight. We are April 19, 2021 filers and have not heard from USCIS at all. Reached out to congressman and senators, congressman reached out to USCIS, but it seems like it does not make any difference. And yes, it will seem like it's going to take forever. They haven't worked on any cases in our range again today. I am hoping for a miracle.
  15. I never got the chance to talk to a tier 2 officer. I requested it because I was hoping they can give me a timeframe. I received their response to my outside normal processing time inquiry, but did not provide a timeframe. So the tier 1 agent told me that the tier 2 will just have the same information as she has. What's the use of having tier 1 or tier 2 then? I've called this agency incompetent so many times. I just cannot with these people anymore. They move on to the next month in order to somehow meet their projected processing time goal. Tomorrow is a new week. I will debate again if I should give these people a call. I don't think I want to waste my time with them. My fiancé and I are talking about maybe just getting married, but we will be facing the same incompetent people. So, we really are helpless. It is really unfair for them to leave few cases hanging, they don't know they're ruining our lives.
  16. Hi! Please update your timeline to help us see your progress. Thanks!
  17. To them, we are just piles of papers stacked probably in the corner, when in reality, these piles of papers are lives that they’re torturing. God help us.
  18. I was thinking of the same thing. That’s torture right there.
  19. Thank you for continuing to run through the cases. I just feel depressed seeing these number. When is the right time to reach out to the ombudsman? And will they be of help? My congressman and senator reached out to the USCIS but looks like they don't have the power to make them work on my case.
  20. Our case is pretty straight forward. Me and my fiancé, we're not married before, no kids. We don't have any police record... nothing. As per "high risk country," well, there are other applicants from the same country, who are already approved. I guess we're just the "lucky ones" that USCIS left behind. I really don't know why USCIS leaves a couple cases behind and move on, and I feel like they just put our case in the "circle back" folder. It's beyond me.
  21. 470 days today since noa1. While many April filer‘s are already approved and waiting at the NVC, a few are waiting for their interviews, and a couple are already here, we are still waiting from the effing uscis approval. Every day is a struggle, I want to get angry, but it’s not going to do anything to the our application. I just understand why uscis is skipping or leaving few cases behind and move on to the next. I don’t see the logic. It’s very frustrating.
  22. I updated the case tracker and it looks like the multiple case tracking feature is gone. I wonder if it's only for iOS. Does anybody have the same problem?
  23. I agree. So far, the women I talked to when I call were nice, they did not sound like they're rushing me. But they pretty much read what's in the website. Like, ummmm I can read them myself. I want to know something I don't know. But then again, I guess you need to talk to a tier 2 agent to get more detailed info.
