    Hi ,
I hope you are doing well & safe.    let me be brief about my situation I am from India currently working in Dubai    I have a query about CR 1 Visa. I'm looking for a lawyer who can help me with this case. my I130 is approved from USCIS on 21 Jan 2015 now my case is under NVC but the problem is. It's been 6 years since she keeps threatening me and abuse what is the way to continue this case without the petitioner?    am I eligible for the VAWA process ??   Looking forward to your reply

Folks no attacking the OP. He asked a question and answers respectfully is all that is needed. Some are getting real close to a TOS Violation.

The OP has not answered a few questions but going off his posts it doesn't sound like he would qualify for VAWA
If his wife was there only once when they married and then returned to the US and has refused to continue the petition or even visit again. She may have also filed for divorce without the OP knowing.

CR1 is for reuniting with a US spouse. Doesn't sound like OP would like to reunite with his spouse so doesn't seem like there's even a case there?

VAWA for CR1 sounds like an oxymoron: hey, USCIS, allow me to reunite with my spouse but just FYI - they've been physically abusing me.
  15. Thanks

Yes, but I think the requirement (based on what someone else posted in this thread) was that the abuse itself happened inside of the US or that both spouses lived outside of the US while the spouse was working for the US government. In any event, it looks like VAWA becomes an option post conditional green card. Otherwise - on what grounds will the OP be immigrating to the US?
