Hello,
I am trying to plan the trip to Frankfurt, and how many days I should stay there. Interview is at May 12.
Just wondering how long after the acceptance after the interview can we pick up the passport and leave Frankfurt?
Thank you -
I had my first expedite request denied a month ago for fear of a war breaking out in Ukraine.
This time I just said you guys denied us for fear of war, now war has happened. I am now requesting an expedite for war. Whole conversation was like 5 minutes.
Surprisingly, it was approved 2 days later. We have been waiting for a year anyways so it's not much of a consolation, but better than nothing I guess.
I wish the war didn't happen and we didn't receive the expedite to be honest. But here we are. -

I saw this update while waiting at a red light... I wanted to scream and cry at the same time. USCIS, if you're actually watching around the posts here, please know that these are lives that you are crushing.
I have so many things to say, but, if you don't have any nice words to say...
I feel the same way.
I can write a whole book dedicated on how much I utterly HATE USCIS.
I'm usually calm and peaceful, but they have succeeded to bring me to the brink of madness.
I shouldn't say more.
Wishing us the impossible, and getting done with this nightmare as soon as possible. -
I got notified that my expedite request was not granted.
QuoteAlthough your situation appears serious, the information you have provided is insufficient to establish that your expedite request meets the following guidelines:
*Severe financial loss to a company or person, provided that the need for urgent action is not the result of the petitioners or applicants failure to:
Timely file the benefit request , or
Timely respond to any requests for additional evidence;
*Emergencies and urgent humanitarian reasons;
*Nonprofit organization (as designated by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)) whose request is in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States;
*U.S. government interests (such as urgent cases for federal agencies such as the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of Labor, DHS, or other public safety or national security interests);
*Clear USCIS error.
I am too tired of them. Wishing everyone more insane patience.

I called USCIS to ask to file an expedited processing request. The representative gave me a list of reasons to select from and I chose "national security interest". The representative took down my email and told me that I would hear back within 7 days. I got a response by email today and it was a rejection. They said "Although your situation appears serious, the information you have provided is insufficient to establish that your expedite request meets the following guidelines." The information I provided was that I wanted to expedite due concerns of imminent war with Russia.
At this point I am convinced a picture with a gun on the head would still be insufficient evidence. Truly absurd.

I had no idea you can request an expedite via phone! Can you please share how it went? Did you get a live person on USCIS line and then simply requested it, there was no trouble?
I'll have my fiancée try this if it really works.I called today. I had to tell the robot on the phone that I wanted to schedule an appointment and then I said I was calling about an interview to get a hold of a representative.
The agent was pleasant and asked my personal info and case number, I then told her that I wished to expedite my case as there is a possible war upcoming and I am concerned with my fiancee safety. She took note and asked me my general contact information. She said I would get a response next week. Pretty easy and straightforward.
Personally this whole k1 process has made me a bitter man and hopeless about any good news. But we'll see.
Wish you luck!- millefleur and chivaschivas

Call USCIS ( 800-375-5283) Tell the automated system schedule an appointment and say its for biometric to get to a person or you never will.
Once your I129F is approved you can call NVC to transfer your case to another local embassy if Kyiv is still closed. I will most likely choose either Hungary or Poland for the visa interview.
I just requested this week they expedite my I129F for my fiancee because of the conflict in Ukraine I will find out in a week if it's approved. (I did it via phone)
Thank you for your answer. I will try to do the same for my case. I would greatly appreciate it if you update me on how your expedite request goes! -
Hello ,
I have been waiting for my I-129F to be approved since April 2021.
In the Ukrainian embassy website https://ua.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/ it states
QuoteI-129F applications for fiancés may not be filed outside of the United States, so we are unable to accept a petition for your fiancé to file for a K-1 visa petition approval at Embassy Kyiv.
We continue to interview K-1 visa applicants whose I-129F petitions have been approved and sent to Embassy Kyiv, and will continue to do so as long as staffing resources allow.
What I don't understand is does this mean that they will not process my case once the I-129F is approved? Or is it for people who try to apply for I-129F after today?
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to a contact USCIS representative to ask questions.
I really appreciate all your time and answers! -
Hello,
I have been waiting for my NOA2 since April 2021, and was hoping that it would be approved soon.
My Fiancé lives in Ukraine, and the recent news was about the U.S embassy staff in Ukraine to leave amid rising tension in the region regarding Russia.
Is it possible to continue the process after NO2 with another embassy, if the one in Ukraine would not be operating in the near future?What would my options look like?
Thank you

Hello,
I know there are very strict rules against expediting. I was just wondering if there is a chance to get an expedite because of the Ukrainian-Russian tensions. I am worried that there will be delays in the Kyiv embassy due to this situation. God forbid an actual war and the safety of my fiancee.
Thank you -

2-3 months from now? Very unlikely. Current processing times at the CSC are 5.5-7.5 months.
Do you think things are speeding up compared to previous months? Are there any trends of faster processing times?
Thanks!

Look at your time line. It’s a fair estimate.
I got a little bummed out when I read the estimated time on my timeline profile.
Quote"Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between December 25, 2021 and December 28, 2021*."
I really appreciate the encouraging response!

I know everyone is in the same boat of missing their fiancé. My fiancé is currently in Ukraine and I miss her terribly. I wish she could visit me :(.
I had my NOA1 on May 3rd, is it realistic to assume that the I would receive a NOA2 within 2-3 more months?

Note that the Form I-134 obligation theoretically only lasts for the 90 days of K-1 status.
The I-864 that is submitted later during Adjustment of status comes into effect when Form I-485 is approved. That obligation only ends when the immigrant:
- Becomes a U.S. citizen;
- Has worked, or can receive credit for, 40 quarters of coverage under the Social Security Act;
- No longer has lawful permanent resident status and has departed the United States;
- Is subject to removal, but applies for and obtains, in remove proceedings, a new grant of adjustment of status, based on a new affidavit of support, if one is required; or
- Dies

Thank you for your reply!
So in my case I would have to find a sponsor who would be willing to be a sponsor until we adjust the status?
Also on the I-864, section 25 it states "I was not required to file a Federal income tax return as my income as below the IRS required level and I have attached evidence to support this."
Could I use this section to avoid finding a joint sponsor? And as evidence show that I was living in Turkey?
-
First of all, I appreciate any help in the matter.
I have applied for the 129f visa 4 months ago and am still waiting and hoping for an approval.
I am a US citizen but I have lived my most of my life in Turkey.
I graduated school and shortly after got my first job in the US as a software developer, I currently live in the US.
Since this is my first job, I don't have any records of tax returns. I earn enough to take care of her and myself.
Can anyone please tell me what options I have?
If I find a joint sponsor, could I relieve them from their sponsorship duties later on?
Also, while I have your attention, could someone explain what the processing times in visajourney mean?
USCIS says it received my case on April 16th. Visajourney says CSC is processing November 2020 cases? Anyone help me estimate when they will start processing mine?
Thank you so much!
