  1. Hi folks!

I have the same problem: entered after 2 years 1 week of marriage and green card came as a CR1. I filled the petition and already finished with biometrics. It's been 1 month of reviewing status. So I don't know for how long more it's going to take to receive a new card. I am in a middle of employment process right now and my question is - should I use my green card with wrong Cr1 status OR it will be better to use a stamp in passport only as a proof of residence? I understood that there are several options but just wanted to know can I use that green card or it's better not to show it anywhere?

  2. Hi everyone!

I want to let you know about my experience with SNUH for medical exam.
I made my appointment online through the site and they contacted me via email for additional information.
Everyone speaks English, there is also Russian and Mongolian speaking workers.

Even tho I had the earliest appointment (9:15) I needed to wait doctors consultation until 10:30. you still need to come 30 minutes earlier for documentation and basic measurements. The international office opens at 8:40.

It took me 2 hours. The Results will be ready after 10 days on Wednesday.
It cost me 290.000w and I didn’t need to do any flu shots!

It's possible that 2022 tax filings from your husband and your joint sponsor will be required at the interview.  I recommend bringing them to avoid delay due to missing documents.

As for your DS-260 info, update it at the consulate on the day of your interview.  Many consulates have a document screening step prior to the actual interview with the consul officer.  You may update your DS-260 then (recommended), or inform the CO directly.

    Thank you!

I think it's better to be over prepared and bring just everything just in case.

Wow, that's a lot of time to prepare, good for you, better to know earlier and be sure of the interview date than to get it a month before it. Which embassy are you assigned to?

Haha that’s true! A little surprised about more than 2 months period between IL and interview tho.

    That’s South Korea, Seoul.

Did you get your interview date already?

  5. Hi!

We are living abroad. However, my husband will need to come back to US (his work contract and visa will be expired) in the end of March. I will have an interview on 25th April.
SO his 864 form shows our current address abroad and his current workplace. Do we need to fill a new 864 form with his new US address and unemployment's information? Since my interview is in the end of April do we need to bring fresh tax docs for 2022? We have a JS since we live abroad.

Also, I have some changes in the information, what I provided earlier in DS260 (I am no longer working at my workplace and I traveled to other country recently with visa stamp in my passport). Do I need to inform about it somehow during interview?
Thank you for your help in advance.

Hello, we are thinking of the future possibility of going back to Korea. Has anyone re applied for the F-6 visa outside of Korea?
I had one and got mine in Korea back in 2019 and gave it up when moving back to America so I’m wondering if I’ll need to go to the Korean embassy or if there’s an easier way to do so? I live a good 6hrs from the nearest embassy.
I wasn’t sure where to post this but I’m just curious if anyone else has done so?
    thank you!

Hi! I think that direct call to the embassy would help.

The first page is the translator's copy, followed by 2 pages of the scanned original birth certificate. Should we try it in reverse order? To be fair, it was issued in former East Germany and looks somewhat crude compared to what is issued these days in modern Germany. 😅

I think it might me a reason! I remember that I saw all original pages should be the first one in order!
I mean if it’s official doc it’s fine, right? My birth certificate is a book with Soviet Union symbol even though I was born in Russia! And it looks nothing like a modern one:)

They reviewed my documents today and sent two RFE's:

    1) This case does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p.

    2) Please replace this with an acceptable birth certificate from a correct issuing authority. Please use our Document Finder at https://nvc.state.gov/find for acceptable documents guidelines.

    My questions now:

    1) My income greatly exceeds the one they state as a requirement on their website. I offered as proof two months-worth of paystubs and my offer letter, which states my yearly income which is in the 6-figures and we will have a 2-person household. I also submitted two tax transcripts, but the one for 2021 was missing and I made note of this in a cover letter with a tracking receipt as proof that I did mail it in, they received it, but claim they have no record of a tax return. I have since fiixed this problem with the IRS by sending in a new return. There is nowhere to ask questions as to how they've reached this determination. What do I do now?

    2) A more minor "issue", but this one is their mistake - we have uploaded a translated, official birth certificate issued by Germany, so there is literally nothing else we can provide. What to do now?

This is so frustrating. Any advice is very welcome.

Did you include a scan of original birth certificate in front of translated scan ?

They finally updated my application page and they rejected my JS 1099 and ask it again...good news is that they accepted my civil docs. Everything else is excepted only 1099... I don't know what's wrong with the one what we sent...

I think we figured it out.
Are we going back to line for additional doc as well?

Only one email? If yes, then it's an RFE, I'm afraid. I also got a status update email on Friday, still no changes on ceac and since people were getting two emails(status change and DQ'd), then it's 99% rfe for us, we just don't know what it's for

    That’s too bad 😕

I’m very frustrated about all this situation. How long will it take to update our profile…

Hey everyone, NVC just emailed me this but I see nothing changed when I login?

The National Visa Center (NVC) updated the status of your immigrant visa application. Please go to the Department of State's Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) at https://ceac.state.gov/IV. You will need your NVC case number and invoice ID number to log into your account.

Once you have logged into CEAC, please look in your message box or on the Status Chart at the bottom of the page. If NVC has feedback on any items you submitted, there will be a new message with details. If not, please simply follow the updated instructions on your Status Chart to complete your case. If any column says "Pay Now", "Invalid Doc", "Incomplete", or "Re-Opened", that means you must take action by paying a fee, submitting a form, or uploading a corrected/missing document.

    Regards,
    National Visa Center,
    U.S. Department of State

    Any Idea what it means?

    * sorry I mistook you

It's been a quiet day, no DQs or RFEs anywhere on the internet to find. I personally hope to see some November reviews by tomorrow or Saturday.

Just saw on Facebook dqs of 31st October submission and 1st November!

It could always be just last submissions of additional documents tho 🤷‍♀️

But I’d like to be an optimist and wait for my DQ before holidays😁

I don't see any reason why they would have skipped through my case besides the fact that my wife is coming from Russia. Already there are grumblings about NVC delaying Russian cases which I didn't give much thought to... But we'll see.

As far as I can tell, the documents are super simple. I864EZ with very good salary, tax transcripts, police certificate and birth certificate have certified English translations, and I attached my prior divorce documents. No additional sponsors, no crimes, nothing...

Omg I hope it’s not the case!
Did you see anybody from Russia to be dq recently?…
I think I saw some cases like yours  during past months here or on Facebook , seems like it could be some issues with site or whatever with updating information ?
