Hello everyone.
Providing an update on here.
DQ 5/11/2023.
IL received 8/11/2023
Interview is for 10/26/2023.
Visa category is IR1/CR1
I hope you all have a lovely day.
This is awesome news! Did you request an expedite to get this in less than 6 months? If not, that gives us hope that they are bridging the gap in getting these appointments set and sent🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾

What is wrong Police clearance certificate? We are in process of pending I-130 and getting docs ready in India for NVC .
Make sure that you are getting the document from the Passport Seva.
My husband initially got a police verification which is not the same because that is only provided by the local police.
This added an additional 3 weeks to our DQ because he had to then submit the proper application through the Passport Seva portal in order to obtain the police clearance certificate.
We ultimately included both since we had them and was DQ'd without issue.

Hey everybody,
... If you're date is getting closer to the approval, start looking into the process for getting your police clearance NOW... Determine how long it will take to receive it and apply for it accordingly. Also make sure that is the correct one because when you get to the NVC stage it's best to have all of your documents ready. The DQ turn around time is pretty spot on at 2 weeks and I'd hate for anyone to have to get a document rejected and have to wait an additional 2 weeks before they are DQ'd.
Submitting the incorrect police clearance added an additional month to our waiting which subsequently added an additional 2 months to the time it will take for us to get our interview date.

...more updates
USCIS Status " Case Sent to Department of State" - April 27th
Welcome letter received today in email - May 1st.
Paid Fees 30 minutes later....will update when it clears.
Just wanna give you guys a guideline of loose expectations for the NVC stage.
Still hoping to hear good news from you all!!!!!
Just following up!
NVC Fees cleared on the third day from US Bank Account
May 20th: Submitted everything
June 1st: RFI - Submitted incorrect Police Clearance😒
June 10th: Resubmitted PCC
Finally, DQ'd in NVC on June 26th.
NVC is pretty spot on with the 2-week response time.
Considering that our embassy is Mumbai, it'll be another 6 months before we get an interview date. Lovely backlog dramas but nearing the finish line!
I hope that you all are starting to get good news!! I've been seeing in FB groups that the USCIS approvals are coming in quicker than anticipated!

Finally DQ'd today!
Almost done....just another 6 months to go since Mumbai is so backlogged!

We didn't need to resubmit, nothing was rejected or listed as missing or originally. It was an additional document they asked for?
OOOOH okay that makes sense then.
My husband submitted the incorrect Police Verification so we had to get that resubmitted. All other documents were accepted.

@ZRomper DQ's yesterday after RFI.
Side note: we received DQ email and message, but 3 documents previously accepted are showing as missing. I'm hoping this is a glitch!
That's awesome!!! I'm still waiting for our DQ, we only needed to resubmit one document....guess ours is going to go the full two weeks.

Mine came on Saturday, mid night. So you might get it this weekend. If not, you will most likely get it by Monday. In the meantime, prepare and organize your documents (if you haven't done already). Good Luck!
Welp...So much for Saturday midnight for me lol. All good though, just praying it comes within the next few days.

Hey - When you did your PCC, was there specific evidence required as proof? I keep seeing something about a Packet 3 or 4 and I have no idea what that is.

Yes, the welcome letter is sent to both the petitioner and beneficiary.
Thanks for the quick answer!!!
I was hoping that be the case considering they want that US coin lol. Hopefully it pops up over this weekend so I can get this ball rollin....

Hi All!
My I-130 case was recently approved (Apr 22nd) and Case sent to NVC (Apr 27). I'm seeing what seems to be petitioners receiving the welcome letter, but when reading the i-797 Approval notice it states that the NVC will reach out to the beneficiary for further action. Can any one confirm if the welcome letter is sent to both the petitioner AND the beneficiary?
(I've searched a million searches and can't seem to find a solid answer on this)

Congratulations so happy for you. Finally, you got your approval 😄. By the way, what was the basis for the expedite? I might try doing that to see my luck😂
Anticipated financial hardship...which was really just a shot in the dark and I fully expected to be denied since it wasn't a total loss.

Well, I guess that response was true... APPROVED as of today. Approved by the National Benefits Center. I'm still in shock! Lets pray that you all will receive your approvals soon as well!!

NVC will automatically send to the consulate that processes Immigrant visas which is the Mumbai one.
They do not
Thanks so much for the swift and concise response! You definitely helped prevent a mini panic attack 😅

I'm starting to see very confusing information and it worries me. On our petition we indicated Chennai as our embassy (beneficiary lives in Chennai so this made sense). Now I'm starting to see that only Mumbai handles family-based immigration cases. Does that mean that I need to update our petition or potentially transfer our case to the Mumbai consulate when we get to the NVC stage?😖😣
Does Chennai not handle family-based visas?
